    We hope everyone has been enjoying the Coastin’ Thru Europe series! Today’s episode was the conclusion of the Germany leg of the trip with our second day at EuropaPark. Since everyone’s loved the series so much, we’re back in Europe as we speak exploring parks in Norway, Finland, and Sweden! While we are filming, episodes of the series will be on a brief hiatus. Expect new ones in about 2 weeks or less!!
    There will be plenty of other content in the meantime!! Thanks for all of your love and support! :)

    I think the key to Europa Park is not the hardware or any of the rides that they have. But it's the way the park is operated and the resorts. It's a must to have a drink in one of the cocktailbars in one of the resorts after a day at europa park. Along with that it's just the stunning operations, decent prices and amazing gastronomy which all come together to make this one of the most relaxing places to go to. For me, coming to europa park feels like coming home and in my opinion that's one of the major reasons that they keep winning the golden ticket award every year. You really feel like the park is trying to provide you with the best time instead of the park trying to rip you off for as much money as possible *cough* disney *cough*

    • @Oatibix92
      @Oatibix92 Год назад +5

      Agreed. Europa Park is all about visiting it as a resort for up to a week and having a holiday there, utilising the hotels and now the waterpark as well. The whole experience is much more impressive than the individual rides there. Just spending a night in one of the incredible hotels, having their fantastic breakfast, walking round the park, chilling in the pool when the day gets hot, going back later for some more rides, having drinks and bites to eat at all the spots and then coming back to the hotel in the evening for a fantastic meal and then spending a few hours drinking in the amazing bars, only to do it all again the next day. Its the most relaxing way to enjoy it as there is so much to do and with a few more days you can do that at an easy pace. It's the only theme park I've been to where I feel I have to stay on site and any other way isn't doing it justice.

      I used to get bored about this park quickly, until a friend inspired me to explore the little things apart from the big 3. Since then I have been really happy this is my home park with a really nice water park nearby. Nevertheless, it can’t compete with the food and the immersion of Phantasialand 😅

    I think europa park is the best all around experience with one exception: one big thrill ride that stands out. I think with voltron it will be a huge step forwards. And i do think that they gonna make more coaster with more thrill in the future. They werent aware of how ppls interest will change over the decades and that ppl scream for more thrill rides.
    Wodan, the last big coaster is their most thrill ride and ppl loved it. Blue fire, the first coasters with inversions, which the founder of Europa Park never wanted, was also a huge step for them. And so i think voltron will be their answer on the critics for not having even one major thrill ride. Im sure, as i said at the beginning: europa park will improve their coasters over the next 10-15 years and bring us more thrilling rides, even the park will never have a thrill dragster, velocicoaster type of ride, i do think they finally go with the trends.

    keep in mind that most coasters at EP are prototypes so like the bobsled, other parks got newer iterations etc, so most rides they have are proof of concepts to sell to other parks and you can definitely feel that with Euro Mir and Poseidon, I actually hurt my leg riding Poseidon and someone in my family had to vomit after Euro Mir

    I totally agree with your opinions on EP. Having been at both EP and PHL I agree that PHL has way better standout attractions. Chiapas beats every water ride at EP, Taron beats Blue Fire, etc.
    HOWEVER EP has the variety. no matter who you go with, you will have a enjoyable day. the park defently has its flaws, but in terms of variety and maintenance its much better than PHL imo

  • @basti0007
    @basti0007 Год назад +3

    Thanks so much again! I agree: On the design-side Phantasialand is the better park. Europa-Park is the better resort when you stay onsite. While Europa-Park does not really shine in Darkrides compared to what Disney and Universal are able to do, they do out-perform any other park in their hotels. Staying in there and enjoy their amenities (not only the early hours, but also the theming, the incredibly themed spas, the food, the shows and the additional attractions) can be 50% of the "EP experience". Phantasialand is delivering the same within the park, but not to that extent in their hotels. If you consider to come back one time, I highly recommend trying staying onsite. 🙂

      I mean Rust which Europa park is located in doesn't have a train station (surprisingly). But Strasbourg and Basel, both of which are fairly close big cities, both have tonnes of direct trains to Paris.

    • @basti0007
      @basti0007 Год назад +2

      @@drdewott9154 Well, it‘s not Basel or Strasbourg, from December onwards, Europa-Park / Ringsheim will be directly connected with a TGV. So you can go from Paris Est to Europa Park in around 3 hours. It used to be the train that was connecting Paris with the Black Forrest and Freiburg. But it now also stops at Ringsheim.

    • @drdewott9154
      @drdewott9154 Год назад +1

      @@basti0007 Oh heck! I had no idea there was a train station that close!

    • @basti0007
      @basti0007 Год назад +4

      @@drdewott9154 Yeah: Ringsheim station is approx. 4 km away (effectively like the exit from the highway.) Europa Park is running bus shuttles from that station in sync with trains, so it's about 5 minutes from the train station to the hotels and to the park itself (There are also speculations that the gondola, that's currently on-hold, might connect to the station - or probably even the new monorail currently built at the Rulantica connecting both resort, as this monorail would be pretty close anyway). So it's quite easy from that station to the park.
      The main issue until now was that high speed trains aren't connected because of the delays with the tracks. But this is about to change over the coming years and the direct TGV connection is the second step (after the Italian ECE fast train connection to Frankfurt, Milano and Basel last year). It's a huge middle finger for Disneyland Paris. So France, Italy and Switzerland will have it more and more easy to arrive at EP by train. The only thing that's still missing are German ICEs (as always)... ;-)

Even if you have visited the Park multiple times, there are always new attractions, Shows, restaurants and hidden areas to discover. The atmosphere is just so laid back and the guest Service is on point.

      Yeah it's just the atmosphere of these areas. Relaxing, much space, lots of water and/or green, well-themed like a vacation destination, candy for the eyes, calm and uplifting soundtracks, everyone is happy and excited to see everything, there are friendly employees and entertainers, good choice of food everywhere. And again, the atmosphere. There are many parks that feel a bit tight or hectic, or, I don't know, just maybe also with the design language, they're not doing anything wrong, but it's not as relaxing to totally let go. But at Europa Park you can just let go and relax. It's that feeling of a second home that many speak about.
