Hunting horn mains/players learning a new weapon with every new mh game 😂 Anyway i didn't verbally include a very good advice on how to use the offset melody. So you guys saw I showed a few examples of using the i-frames of the backstep before swinging for the offset right? It's actually great against telegraphed multi-attacks from monsters because unlike the swing which comes out late, the backstep happens right at the beginning of the move, so for faster attacks that you cannot react in time to offset, you can the first hit and wait for the second hit for your offset instead!
I LOVED your guides on World. I thought they were the best content on youtube for learning the game and yet it never even occurred to me that you would be here to make the same amazing content for Wilds. This is an awesome surprise! Suuuuuper excited to watch this video and looking forward to more from you coming up. I'm most excited for Charge Blade and Insect Glaive (Not to push you to cover them, just so you have a sense for what your viewers are into.) P.S. I know you didn't cover all the weapons for World but I would be thrilled to see you do these videos for all weapons because even the weapons I don't like, I love your videos on them. They're great to watch.
@@wyrdplae8586 oh yea i do have plans to work on wilds stuff whenever i get the time. I dont mind ppl telling me what they want, its just not always possible to do everything cause of the time and effort needed to make guides this detailed. The issue with world is that by the time i decided to make guides, i was already rarely playing and now that wilds is coming out i dont think i have time complete the whole collection for world. World cb is already there tho, just not for ig. I appreciate the kind words, thank you!
Thank you for the content, I'm enjoying it while listening to "Requiem"! This piece has been a faithful companion for twenty long years! Thank you for highlighting it.
Fantastic guide. I hadn't realized that the off-set back step had I-frames. That's a really neat mechanic and will surely result in some satisfying counters. I'm going to miss my directional Encores (especially the triple note backwards encore) from World but Wilds HH looks to have plenty of room for skill expression too. Super excited to start the journey in February.
@@SunnyJCR iv been trying to guess if the backstep had s since the hh reveal trailer so when the beta came out i had a good chance to finally test it. Its very nice for multi hit combos because the offset swing is slow so its harder to react to the first attack, so u can the 1st and offset the 2nd. I do miss directional encores too, they were satisfying when pulled off correctly. But the truth is their speed has always made them rarely a good choice especially when spin and echo waves replaced them in iceborne.
@@torpedosoup Yeah, Iceborne HH motion values were pretty poorly allocated. The move set was incredible but there was little incentive to use most of it. I recently did a playthrough with ICE mod and the MV rework really opened up the full HH kit.
@ the motion values have always been worlds hh’s weakness. Some of the slower swings feel like they have the speed of a heavy weapon but the dmg of a light weapon 😂 this is not to say hh dps is bad, its just bad in comparison to others. The moveset was great tho like u said, although i think spin spamming kinda made it less interesting. Dont get me wrong i love the spin
@@josephbouteille7868 That sounds hilarious. Cannot wait to see the clips of HH users knocking the monster out with an offset before continuing to play.
@@saibarathiravi2137 hard to say for now. I enjoyed rise horn for a while before losing interest eventually too. For now i can say the Wilds horn is interesting enough with its new mechanics so i enjoyed it a lot
A thousand thanks fellow dooter:) This will prove most valuable. I only just learned about the whole rapid fire note stacking thing in the final hours of the beta, I felt like I was missing something major, and go figure... Wilds is certainly going to be quite something:)
@@_lost_paradise5089 thanks and ur welcome! yea hh players especially need to learn a new thing every new mh game hahaha. Im sure i havent figured out every detail yet as well, we will all take time to discover the new stuff.
so excited to do slicing or elemental echo waves when full game comes out! loved learning HH through your iceborne vids and i hope we can get a similar in-depth one for wilds :) it never occured to me that the back step for offset melody had i frames or that you can do it during a performance which is insanely cool.
@@rubbertoe64 yea im sure there are many more fun stuff to discover when the full game comes out. The in depth version is only possible once i know enough from the full game, and it will probably be tough to make. I hope this one covers enough to help ppl get started first.
I agree that its sad theres no more directional encores. but if ur looking for a somewhat decent skill expression thing, try to make sure all your performance beats and encores are perfect timing, and the focus strike. tho tbh its not that hard to do

@@estebanmoraga3126 echo waves is a damage dealing and stun building melody.
