All the products are very nice love outdoor living and porches plus I really like a lot of lighting most definitely into storage any acceptable areas I really like these homes and I'm moving to Tennessee selling my house here in Florida I guess I'm going to try to see if I can find a website so I can look through more houses that you have the last house the Creekside modified I really like that one but I don't know what your prices are I don't do more than just that pay cash so that's going to be a factor for me how long does it take once you put a deposit on a home they have it delivered are there additional fees on top of that or do your prices include delivery and installation as well fireplace is important to me

Please call our office at 1-800-777-7288. Log homes are finished to a wide range of standards, anything from a basic cabin to a fabulous log lodge. So cost per square foot can be almost anything you want it to be. The primary determination will be your choices on how to finish the home. Each line item, like the kitchen sink, can be as basic as $50 or as much as $500 or more. Log homes are not typically starter homes, and are far more likely to be the last home someone builds. So it is not unusual for log homes to be completed to a higher standard than, say a typical subdivision home built inside the city limits, which are often done by developers building out entire neighborhoods as "spec" homes, in which case the focus is often on the lowest cost per square foot possible, at the expense of custom features and quality. We often find the news distressing, and the statement of beliefs is our response for a more optimistic and kind outlook on the world. The statement is not made for purposes of affinity marketing, only a simple statement of who we are, imperfect as that may be. Some people are offended, and that's fine. Anybody who despises the things we care about and that motivate us, it is a service to them to know who they are dealing with up front so they can look elsewhere.

Person talking off screen cannot be heard clearly and it takes away from the production. This one thing took what started out as a professional, well thought out production, and turned it into a hobbyist level upload. Your laid back, conversational style is great, but comments from off screen that cannot be clearly heard aren’t so great.

Cost of a log home can be almost anything. Our website will be updated with pricing within a few days. We had to remove pricing for the first time ever due to lumber product price volatility in 2020, but that seems to have stabilized now, so update pricing will be on the website soon.

I would like to know what the appeal of cathedral ceilings are in a cold climate state? It seems that most of your heat is wasted on all that extra ceiling space.
Simple ....higher ceilings make a small home feel more spacious! Ceiling fans can divert the heat that rises back down to the living area.
@@suebennett9347 Ok. If you need to feel that your house is bigger I guess it's worth the extra energy bill for heat and ceiling fans. Now what to do about carpet (which is warm but so 70s) vs wood( which is just beautiful but chilly) 😀
You are correct that cathedral ceilings carry a penalty in energy consumption. That's why Satterwhite has many plans with many options, giving you flexibility to tune your home to your climate and your energy utilization standards.
We had a very interesting conversation with a customer on our most recent Zoom session, which was held on Christmas Eve 2020. A customer in the session gave an account of energy use after 2 years in his home, saying he should have specified a propane tank half as large as the one he installed, and that his propane company remarked that even then, his home was using half the propane of other homes of comparable size.
There are many factors that affect energy usage, but stratified air between floors and orientation of gable glass in cathedral ceilings are definitely involved. There are also new innovative technologies which can counteract air stratification between floors of your home, such as mini-split heat pumps and such. @@MR-jp6ju We're also seeing an increase in radiant heating systems built into foundations, and even a few geothermal installs. It all depends on where you are building and doing the math about what makes sense on your ROI.

We read your comment on our year-end show on December 31, 2020. Short answer: we were forced to remove pricing from our website earlier in 2020 due to crazy volatility in wholesale prices for dimensional lumber and plywood earlier in the year. Some level of stability has returned to the market now, and we will be updating our pricing on the website in a matter of days.
I've noticed that almost no log homes have closets.

Is there any alternatives to spray foam insulation ? If so what is used .. Thank You
Spray foam is the preferred insulation, and especially so in small cabins because they often do not have attic space, especially in lofted designs that do away with attic space, effectively converting it to living space. However, in any cabin with an attic space, any type of conventional insulation can be used. Since log walls are solid, there is no void inside exterior walls. This limits the need for insulation in log homes to the attic space, mainly.

I was taught that religion and politics were subjects that honest, civilized people do not use to sell products. In fact, using your "faith" like this is taking the Lord's name in vain - breaking one of the 10 Commandments. So, now that you've made your video both religious and political to sell your products I know that I will NEVER do business with you.
How much for for the red roofed cabin towards the end that says custom. You said fishing cabin or hunting cabin. With the smokey mountain logs. I'd just want the shell. I could finish it out. Pier and beam foundation is perfect. I do think I'd prefer a green metal roof but I'd be building it for my dad so that color choice would be his. Cabin would only need be 1 story. 2 bedroom

Are you talking about the builders based in Libby? The pseudo-amish home builders? The ones that cater to California millionaires types, that are buying up our land in Montana, importing their evil ideologies, destroying the natural ecosystem, disrupting the local wildlife & building giant monstrosities, only for them to move after their first winter because they cannot hack it in the Big Sky mountains, God’s country, the home of the free and the land of the brave. Those guys? If so, you can have them.
They're just an overpriced expensive brand name, they're not even really Amish and their homes cost MILLIONS.

The cost of a one bedroom home..foam walls..warm cabin..
We will be updating our pricing on the website this coming week. However, you would need to call our office at 1-800-777-7288 to get a better idea on things like spray foam insulation. Our materials packages and constructed shells focus on the log-specific portions of the home only, not things that are the same as any conventional home. Reason being, you will always save money having as much done locally as possible, without adding travel costs for common labor on top of normal expenses.
Pricing is still coming... the prices are done, but we've had a bit of delay due to the web developer's schedule.
