I was there! 7th row center. Unbelievable show, blew my teenaged mind. David also performed Space Oddity alone, on that stool. His costumes! His hair! The band! My chin was on the floor! ♥️
I agree, I am 25 years old, been listening to Bowie and been addicted to Ziggy Era since I was 12 years old. I have decided to upload performances from the Ziggy Era as separate videos, also trying to make the sound be more clear by some editing. I have made two playlists for 1972 & 1973 performances that anyone interested can check out.
@@ziggyfan100 I have seen your material and it is absolutely brilliant and I would like to thank you for keeping Ziggy alive in our lives and memories, god damn it man I’m 65 now and it still seems like yesterday, come back Ziggy, problem is that no one else can play him better than David because HE WAS ZIGGY!
I spoke to a guy selling brick a brac at a NYC housing coop table sale a few years back who was selling a few records. I told him I played a lot of Bowie on my radio show and he told me he got a few free tickets to a Bowie show at Carnegie Hall. He said these Freaky people were giving them away on the street. He went on to say he knew very little about Bowie’s music at the time and when he performed Space Oddity, a few people were laughing until they knew what it was supposed to be a ‘serious’ song not a novelty tune. There were a few famous faces in the audience too.
Here's to the charmingly corrupt usher who lined up 20 of us hopeful & ticketless loiterers , requested 5$ each, then brought us in to Carnegie and told us where to stand and watch this legendary show!

Lucky You! Did you happen to take photos/film the show or tape it?
ZIggy's era is so special
I wish we could revisit it and start from the beginning all over again, it just flew by and before we knew it Ziggy was gone 😭
Remember the good years
