Watching and listening to Mr. Scott is like taking an organ lesson in technique and registration. Mister Scott is an organist’s organist.

A listener's organist, too. (And a jolly fellow, to boot!)
These on-line recitals are an unexpected bonus of the Covid crisis. Hugely enjoyed in this neck of the woods. Congratulations, and many thanks.

As both Classical Orchestra and Pipe Organ lover, I am astoundef by Jonathan Scott's virtuosic ability to recreate 19th century maximum orchestral "turbulence" challenge---- brilliantly!
However, I must say that I enjoy so much, all, on the Grand Pipe Organ, but I also enjoy, and, a lot, being surprised by the music of unknown composers from all epochs. Even the most insignificant, never-to-be-known composers have written "gems"!
When I go to listen to Music, I go enjoy it, not to criticize it, the composer, or the performer! I go with my spirit open to anything and everything!
Thank you so much to all i volved!
    P.S.:
The Toccata in F by the not well-known 19th century French Composer, Grissant(sic?) is a WOW!!

Doesnt come close to Fox. Fox is a clown compared to Maestro Scott. When I was a teenager in NYC Fox caught me playing the organ in Riverside Church and slapped me across the face and told me never come there again or touch the organ. So much for mentoring a young person who loves playing the organ. Thats what I think of him to this day.

Let me add my admiration. I really like the transcriptions. They are familiar classics that sound great on the organ. And the two of you are so prolific in making these videos. I really appreciate this. The like the spoken introductions to the pieces you play provided in an unassuming way. I think you have music for sale. I am going to try to get some of it. I love the sound of this organ! So far, the organs of Holy Name and Albion are my favorites, but I still have many concerts to catch up with. Thank you Jonathan and Tom! This is is a beautiful concert, with many of my favorite pieces. Jules Grison is new to me, and a composer I plan to check out further. I think I used to own a recording of Vivaldi's Lute Concerto, played by some early music society on original instruments (probably a Musical Heritage Society record), as I recognized it immediately and remember it well. Strangely, during Ave Maria, as the music was soaring and the camera was panning up toward the ceiling, (about 23:42+), I half expected the roof to lift off and float away! Music like this, played so masterfully, has an amazing effect on one's imagination!

I'm always glad to hear a real wind driven pipe organ, even some that have a few warts. Thanks, Tom, for the detailed sound.
The Wagner might have been a notch slower, but I got to the end, albeit a bit breathless. But it was, after all, the opener. Thanks for doing so many of these, so well, and with so much variety. Maybe, someday, we can add back a live audience. But, to be honest, there is a spirit of the live performance, with or without the crowd.

Another brilliant performance performance. You are the Edwin Lemare of our times. Can you please come and play the organ of St Mary Redcliffe in Bristol?
