  • Applies to legacy MCR roasters (and less sophisticated manufacturers machines) only. Newer MCR models 2kg through 60kg feature a precision drum adjustment wheel.
In this video Derek is walking us through how to do a drum gap adjustment. He is about to start a big production roast day on the 6KG so before starting to roast he is going to do a quick adjustment. A quick tutorial video filled with detailed info to help you on your roaster.

There's no lock collar to loosen on the back of the roaster?

This 6kg is a slightly older model and he tapped the drum shaft forward from the back of the roaster. All but the smallest of our new machines have an adjustment mechanism that allows operators to "dial in " the drum gap without tools. We posted this because a) many operators of our smaller and/or older machines need to understand this a bit better and b) many of our viewers are saddled with machines from other manufactures less interested in producing modern production machinery need to do the same. YMMV
