There's some rubbish talked about the small amount of polyester or maybe nylon added to woollen cloth. This guy seems to think it's to make it more waterproof; thats baloney. If you ask any textile technologist, they will tell you it's to improve dimensional stability; in other words, to help the garment keep its shape.
Bought a 3 piece over 40 years ago and, due to good husbandry, still looks great. Shame it appears to have shrunk!
Out of curiosity, will wool blends, cotton or man made fibers blended with wool, prevent moth damage?
