This was helpful. I had the epley maneuver done 3 times by a PT. The first time it sent me spinning and the other 2 times, no response. I have seen several ENTs whom have said nothing is wrong with my ears. Primary care doctors are useless, don't even get me started. I did have a TMJ CBCT done and it shows my right jaw joint pushing on my ear. I'm told this is is what's causing my equilibrium issues. I do also have severe obstructive sleep apnea. However, I have had TMJ since I was a kid. I have a high narrow arch pallet. Everytime I swallow, I hear weird noises in my right ear. I truly believe I have TMJD that's causing ETD. I just find it odd that I wake up one morning with vertigo two years ago and have been messed up ever since. I'm only 38 😢

Sounds like it could be related. CBCT should also allow the clinician to measure the oropharyngeal airway dimensions, and assess the structural risk for obstructive sleep apnea. A mandibular advancement device, or sometimes a DIRECTIVE ORTHOTIC, is what I would typically begin with in similar situations.
