Apparently it uses a microphone rather than a vibration sensor. That could make it difficult to use in noisy environments.

I don't know that this is true. I have a hard time getting a ready if I set the device on my knee and try to get it to pick up a string (with plenty of volume). Same thing with my voice.
If I clip it into the headstock, it reads instantly. I'm not attesting to the overall accuracy of the device, but it gets close enough at least for what something like this should get you in my mind. I'm just saying it has to be relying on vibration primarily because without clipping it or pressing it against a vibrating source like your guitar headstock, it doesn't pick up a reading very well if you treat it like a microphone.

Nice way to offer something different in a clip-on tuner. I can see the flashlight being quite handy! But can it display the octave in chromatic tuner mode?

Can this do a custom guitar tuning? Standard half step down? DADGAD? Open tuning?

In chromatic mode, it can do anything, but not indicating the strings.

Timer for open mics, etc. to make sure you're not hogging the mic.

    Flashlight on a tuner?

We really need a demo for the metronome feature. That would be the only handy thing outside of the tuner. Can you tap tempo? Can you build a playlist? Can it connect to your phone? The timer for convenience perhaps is good for timing a song or set. But can you do that while using the metronome? I really have no idea based on this video.

I wonder how long a charge will last and how temperature impacts it. I've tried the D'Addario and Snark rechargeable tuners, and they don't last long in Montana weather conditions.

I have the Boss TU -05 and it lasts about 3 months at a time.

@Smithy67 my D'Addario, fully charged, going through a cool Montana morning to the event in the back seat doesn't even last through a 1.5 hrs morning session. Neither did the Snark. They are only on to get tuned up and rechecked after using a capo or alternate tuning.

They say 6 to 7 hours.

@GabrielVelasco any idea under what temperature conditions? For example, it was 5F this morning. The tuner was in the hard case, and not outside long. Still, everything was cold, 0F.

so wow what a marketing scam - really Taylor? the metronome that is useful for learners - and we are all learners - but flashlight, timer/countdown - sorry useless and everyone's smartphone or smartwatch do that - in fact my smartphone and smartwatch have dozens of free tuners and metronomes - maybe a scale or chord chart would be good - hard pass on this scam

I prefer not to have my phone around while practicing. It serves as a distraction. I wouldn’t call it a marketing “scam,” so much as it’s just “marketing” which is a literal requirement for business. They made a tuner that’s different from others. Dont buy it and move along.
