This is the best video! Not only is the space beautiful, it’s your relationship with your sister that is so genuine! You were so careful and thoughtful for your choices for her. And, wow, when you both spoke of your Mama being a giver, you can just feel the bigness of y’all’s hearts! It’s just the most beautiful thing!

Hi Laura, I've just recently started watching your videos, so I have a lot of catching up to do...but I just wanted to say to you and your sister ...thank God, truly thank God for your "giving" Mom. Our modern culture has put too much emphasis on ourselves...granted, we have to love ourselves to be able to love our neighbor, but true love is "selfless". That's not too popular in our day and age, and we've become more and more "selfish" . You two sisters are examples of selfless service to each other and others and it seems you have learned from your Mom. Thank God for her...we should all learn the art of service! Thanks for the videos...I'm learning heaps about vintage!
I love the thrill of a second hand find. When someone compliments a piece in my home, there's nothing more satisfying than saying "I got it at the Thrift Store". Great job on your sister's room -each piece was intentional and found with love.
Wow what a difference! It has such a warm, earthy vibe. Love the look and love that it is all second hand and on a budget. Just shows you can have a beautiful home without breaking the bank.

I love how you did Erin's room (and points to Jesse, too, for getting such a clean edge without painter's tape!). I also thought it was so cool how the tree painting showed up in, as if framed by, the mirror.
Oh that clean edge is allll me 🙋🏻♀️ Haha I’m weirdly proud of my no need for tape skills 😂 But he is AMAZING for helping me roll (Which to me is the hardest part).
Oh wow! This is so beautiful. You did such an amazing job on this room! I agree with you about not painting everything black (as so many on YT do). I love things the way that they are. I so appreciate the naturalness of wood. The beauty of the grain. I too grew up in a family of six children. I am also a giver and someone who wants to do for others. I totally understand how you and your sister are.

It's been such a joy to watch you over the past few years! My favorite thing in the room is the peel stick wallpaper. The bedroom looks so calming and fresh. Cozy, and peaceful yet stylish. A place to retreat to, and feel relaxed. The light shade is beautiful, the green walls bring the space together instead of cold stark white walls and ceiling. I agree the stick on wall paper on the glass pane is gorgeous. The pictures, plants, accent pieces, candles and furniture look lovely in the space. It brings out your sisters personality rather than a stark space with neutrals. Warm, peaceful, stylish, all done with thrifted items, and within a budget. This is realistic because most people dont have hundreds of thousands to get in a decorator.
Your stories were touching, especially about your mother. It brought tears to my eyes. Great to see Jesse had his hand in the makeover. 💪 Give the purple bathroom a coat of the same green paint, add in plants, and you are A for away until 2027.😁

OMG That's my color! I have been collecting leaf motif accessories for a couple of years and found my curtains at a local thrift shop. I could never decide my wall color but had finally decided on pulling it from those curtains. Teal stencil was the match! I love it! I'll be painting over spring break in just a few weeks and cannot wait to do all the things in finishing this project!

I love the accessories you found: the mother and daughter sculpture, the bookcase, the green candle holder and the light fixture. I also love that you were able to furnish it with all thrifted items. Laura, you have inspired me to find my own style. You have shown me that things don't have to be matchy, matchy or perfect. I am coming into my own, since I have retired, and I value your encouragement very much. Downsizing has left me with options to keep and change around the things that I love. I can see why the bed caused the range of questions. If you look at the black and white "flooring" of the picture you used it does look like the headboard is raised and there is a white wall space. I had to look at it again......🙂
