It looks like we might do the Sunbeam Vintage meet up Wednesday, April 26th instead of the 27th! I’ll have final details for all 3 meetups listed in on my website in the next few days so check back soon! 😁😁😁 Subscribe to my newsletter on my website to make sure you don’t miss the meetup details! www.leftcoastrevivals.com
I missed the dump time because of church and of course, all the things I would have bought were gone, boo hooooooo! use Citistrip and alot of steel wool to take that white paint off❤
I'm hoping to make it to the Sunbeam Vintage meet-up! For this reason, I will be traveling and living out of my van that my husband built out, so I can pick all the great places and not have to pay for hotels. Do you have any idea if I can get away with parking in a lot? I don't want to show up unprepared, but I can always ask. If anyone knows, I would love some insight as to overnight parking rules in that area. Thanks beautiful people!
Words can’t even express how much I enjoy coming along with you as you look for treasures. I watch other thrifters but you show the items, aisles, shelves just the right amount of time…not dawdling too long, not zipping by so fast I can’t see, and not babbling about nothing of interest. You are on topic and on target w my interests! I love watching your videos so much! Thank you!
I love the time and effort you put into all of your videos to do such a detailed haul of your finds and then show us how you decorate with each piece. You make everything look so dang good and expensive and that takes a person with a good eye and real talent!
The tail on that turtle grater is used to scrape all of the coconut out of the shell. It scrapes it into finer bits than the usual shreds. Love your channel!❤
I'm not a trend person, I I always been a bohemian at heart and decorate my home with things that make me happy and relaxed ..My style always been Bohemian mixed with mid century pieces....Do it for yourself and don't worry what people think of yoafter all it's you that is going to be living in that house...My favorite moments is when i'm in my living room sitting down with a frozen margarita and listening to 60's instrumental lounge music...ooooh yes ...lol :) thank you for your great video. Never been disappointed with your adventures and great finds.
Laura! You are my favorite RUclipsr! I just love how you do your videos! It’s so awesome how you take time to show us items , talk to us about their greatness! I could write so much!! ❤ I am learning so much from you! Thank you for your time , patience and wonderful videos!!!! I’m always so excited to watch! I keep you on during my work day :)
AWE! "do the PUYALLUP!" I found your channel at a really low point in my life. my new vintage booth and bingeing your videos has been like therapy. I moved away from Puyallup 2 and 1/2 years ago. It still feels like home and I miss it dearly, my old house was walking distance to these fair grounds. such a sweet reminder of home!
Ik geniet van deze filmpjes ...ik kijk vanuit Rotterdam en wij hebben in Nederland zulke winkels niet ...het aanbod is zo groot bij Antiek en de Goodwil....en dank je wel voor het genieten...grt , Loes
Just a little note - that brass candlestick, it's Skultuna, if someone wanted to find something of theirs for themselves (they make beautiful brass pieces!), it'll be easier to find them with the correct spelling! But the thing I absolutely loved in this video, is those two tiny Alaskan baskets, so beautiful! I love native craft (though I collect Sámi craft), and I loooove anything miniature! ♥
All my research online is showing that the candlestick is in the style of designer Pierre Forsell for Skultuna but not the real deal so I’ve held off saying it’s for sure that company to not misidentify. Have you come across one within any label before? So curious if it really is 😁 It sure feels high enough quality to be but I’ve yet to find anything showing it really is. ❤️
I can only find similar candlesticks as well, not the same. But I'm just saying that in the listing you showed, Skultuna was misspelled (which Swedish names often are internationally), and I thought I'd make it easier for people to go look for Skultuna's beautiful brass pieces! 😊
I think the small tightly woven baskets have flowers on them, even though flowers usually are drawn with 5 petals, yet a butterfly has a body and I didn’t see a body! Haha, my opinion. I need to learn about artists, I just go on what I like , and think might be vintage! I get almost as much fun thrifting with you as I do in person!
Wonderful video! The small religious figure reminds me of "The Infant of Prague" figurines which are popular with our Roman Catholic faith. I have one of my Mother's which dates from the 1930s. And I love how you turned the ashtray into a candleholder. Looking forward to the next video.
Im pretty sure the wooden sculpture is Nuestra Señora de San Juan de los Lagos (Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos), my great-grandmother had a similar figurine on her dresser. The history of this Virgin goes back more than 300 years, who knows how old this figure can be!
Laura, your thrifting trips/hauls are the absolute best on YT. You have such a great eye, and your finds, amazing. As always, your camera work is so professional. I love your message that trends for home decor are restrictive. Have what you're drawn to and love, excellent message. Thank you so much for taking us along on your magical trips. 💗 from Australia 😊
The brass turtle 🐢 is a coconut 🥥 grinder from the tail side n lower end as ginger grinder and the rest for vegetables grinder . They are mostly use in different parts of India. Love your videos 📹, always wait to see the vintage n antique items. Wish could buy . With love from SAM Guwahati, Assam, India 🇮🇳 ♥️
My favorite find of yours are the mini baskets and the gorgeous coffee pot with sugar and creamer. Looks like flower designs on the baskets. Happy hunting ‼
Yes! Let's do Puyallup but...there's also Snohomish which is the antique capital of Washington. Nothing but antique stores and malls. Love the baskets and the brass candlestick holder. So glad you're trip yielded so much treasures!
I am semi creative person made several chip stone planters one year out of one 30 lb bag of cement and gravel i collected and washed. i got two 12 in across at the top 3 8 in across at the top and my 3 grand kids ec made 4 in across pots. all that for 8 dollars in cement and 3 and 5 days drying time. WE used ice cream buckets and plastic food containers for the smaller ones. We live in an area that has a lot of "trap" rock which is a very dark black rock, (it is a river rock from the ice age which borders MN and WI along the St. Croix River coming out of Duluth MN and Superior Wi and Lake Superior) the Trap Rock mind shut down so you can go there and get all the gravel you can carry. Of course these pots are priceless to me because of the time shared with the grandkids and our memories. Surprisingly they look just like the picture of your planter here. I did add black cement paint to the cement which I had on hand so I did not put it in the cost. It was only a small amt. anyway. I LOVE THE MONKEY THINKER STATUE!!!!
I also don’t care about trends. I will always be a boho girl:) I can’t wait to see you again in July. I love that you are actually hosting the event this year! You go girl!! 😊 As always, thank you for taking us with you. Your time is always recognized & appreciated. ❤
I love when you find the Danish wooden ware! I grew up in Germany, and our whole dining room was decked out in the stuff - I especially loved our salt/pepper grinder-in-one as it holds the most memories. We had the ice bucket, salad bowls and large salad holder, cups, bread, meat, and cheese boards with a cute cover for the cheese, and a round magnet inset into the board to hold the cheese knife, serving ware, you name it! Tugs on the heart strings!
They look like flowers on the baskets. My grandma made beautiful sweet grass baskets of all sizes .My favorite thing was the wood carving. She is lovely.
I've done more refinishing than I care to remember! Seriously though, the best stripper I've ever used was called 'Dad's'. I'm not even sure they still make it. I used so many tools to get into the nooks and crannies. Even toothbrushes did a great job, but I'm sure you know that trick. I love that mirror and think you will get a lot of satisfaction when you're finished. It doesn't look to be coated with layer after layer. When I was 21, I bought an old fashioned barber shop that looked just like the last day the man closed shop for the day not knowing it would be the last day. I refinished the wood back bar that was so intricate and beautiful with probably 10 layers of paint. I thought I'd never finish! It turned out to be the most beautiful oak with the antique Barber chairs. There was even a framed poster of Bob Dylan that said; "Beautify America, Get a Haircut." Apologies for the short novel! Good luck with that amazing mirror!
I love watching you thrifting.I finally found a pinguin ice bucket and I wish I could send you a picture of the really nice vintage percolator I bought in the same lot.Thank you for all the smiles.
The little wooden carved statue looks like it's of 'The Child of Prague' baby Jesus. In Ireland its traditionally put outside the night before a wedding in the hope it will bring sunshine for the big day.
I love those two little mirrors you found, the blue soapstone is amazing, and the little horse is fabulous, but the two coiled baskets are amazing. Definitely flowers, and definitely beautifully coiled. It's an enjoyable technique, but done tightly as those were, can be quite hard on the hands. Mine won't take that technique anymore.
I was just in awe trying to see most of items available for purchase. I wish that had the stamina. I truly envy you all who can dare venture as you all do..
We love you Laura! You are filled with such amazing talent and I love how sweet and fun you are ❤ oh and I want to say as a catholic myself I think that wooden statue you purchased at the beginning may be Virgin De San Juan De Los Lagos …there’s a beautiful church in Mexico dedicated to her ❤ the wooden statue looks like it may be her
I am new to thrifting and selling on eBay and I really enjoy watching you do your thrift shopping. Trying to figure this whole thing out in order to be successful.
l have learned so much from you, mostly the difference between junk and treasures. Thank you for showing me what I always really loved to begin with. A most valuable education . Thank you for the beautiful design experience.
I went to this one too! I am always impressed at how you find stuff!! Love watching your videos! 😊 I am in Olympia and my girls live in Portland! It is great to see your stuff since you are local for me!
WD-40 makes metal zippers like new! I like the pens if you can find them. Otherwise, spray on finger, go along zipper between finger and thumb. Start zipping slower then faster, reoiling as needed. Lasts a long time before re-oiling anytime soon.

HI Laura love the silver turquoise earrings and that black hat you are wearing they look so good on you there were so many beautiful things to chose from thanks for taking us along 🥰🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🐝
Hi Laura That 2nd table you looked at when you came into Thriftapalooza had dark brown glazed stonewareon it .That is Hull pottery from Ohio.Great quality my mom had that,we grew up with that in our home.Lyatt(Love you all the time)Sandee from Ohio 💜💜😊
I don’t know how badly the zipper was broken on that purse, but I remember my mother fixing my brother’s jacket zipper by rubbing a pencil lead over the teeth.
Laura, how do you decide what to keep and what to sell? I loved the purple soapstone sculpture and the colorful horse! That zodiac ashtray was so cool! The coordinating mirrors with flowers were pretty! Love all that you do!
It's nice to see you feature 3rd Street Antiques in Puyallup, WA. I was there last Fall and loved walking through and seeing all the cool antiques. I wouldn't mind going there again, even though it is an hours drive south of where I live on the north end of Seattle.
So much fun. The thrill of venturing into a new place! My heart always skips a beat before entering!😅 Superb find on those baskets. What an honor to hold them. Such beautiful history. Religious items are full of mystery I find. Not only do they hold a high and personal value to the one sculpting it but they're extremely rare to come by. This made my night. Solid video!
So many great finds! Your area has so really good thrift and antique stores. When your notifications pop up I know there will be some great treasues to be seen!
I just wanted to tell you since I live in Shrewsbury Pennsylvania it's been a while since I went to our good will I found some really nice things I just thought if you ever wanted to go to our good will in Shrewsbury Pennsylvania they remodeled the good will and it looks so good.
I just had to tell you how much I enjoy your channel! You have an amazing sense of style. We are TV & Film producers who have recently started our own channel after moving to Las Vegas. I believe we have a mutual friend in Tiffany of Thrifting Vegas! I hope we will meet someday!
Hello, its now August 23, 2023. I just watched the roadtrip video so fun. I noticed the blue "soapstone" figurine carving. I tried to go back in the video after i finished watching to freezeframe and take a closer look because at wuick glence it looks like the light blue lapis lazuli stone. Very pretty.
Hi Laura good morning happy Saturday morning and happy Easter to you and your loved ones and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter

Couldn't agree more! Laura is the best of the best and so authentic!
I agree!
Oh and let’s not forget the amazing styling and education. I lcontinue earn so much!
Absolutely agree with this. Love journeying with Laura on her thrifting adventures.

It is coconut grater used in Indian houses old days, I remember my grandmother using it when I was very young.

I bought a lot of those Russian dolls in East Germany before the wall came down.
I think the small tightly woven baskets have flowers on them, even though flowers usually are drawn with 5 petals, yet a butterfly has a body and I didn’t see a body! Haha, my opinion.
I need to learn about artists, I just go on what I like , and think might be vintage!

My mum has a coconut grater and in my experience the Crocodile's tail is for scraping/separating the coconut meat from the shell. Hope this helps!
Wonderful video! The small religious figure reminds me of "The Infant of Prague" figurines which are popular with our Roman Catholic faith. I have one of my Mother's which dates from the 1930s. And I love how you turned the ashtray into a candleholder. Looking forward to the next video.
Good finds that wood lady is called Our lady of Peace and Good vouage. She has a cathedral church in Antipolo city Philippines.

Thanks for sharing SAM, great info on the grater and all the ways it can be used and from which country. 👍😁
The two mirrors you picked up are from Peru. I have a few custom frames from Lima that look very similar.
Thank you!! I wasn’t sure where they were made. They’re so pretty 😍
My favorite find of yours are the mini baskets and the gorgeous coffee pot with sugar and creamer. Looks like flower designs on the baskets. Happy hunting ‼
To strip the mirror you might want to look into using oven cleaner.
Hi, I heard that before, but I can’t remember what kind of oven cleaner is the best. Would you mind to comment which one you use? Thanks
Yes! Let's do Puyallup but...there's also Snohomish which is the antique capital of Washington. Nothing but antique stores and malls. Love the baskets and the brass candlestick holder. So glad you're trip yielded so much treasures!
Fun! I use to live in Puyallup years ago. Love seeing this video of PNW treasures.
FYI- if you rub wax paper on the zipper of that purse it will zip smoother. Love your videos!
A candle wax works better
Laura, I love your hat. Where can I purchase one?

Hello from India Laura……yes the tortoise is a coconut grater!
What wonderful finds. I hope you will show us your painted mirror after it’s been stripped.
Love the Alaskan woven baskets. They're beautiful!
Never stop making these videos! Love and hugs girl 🤗

When will the bomb shelter bar be finished ? I’m so looking forward for the video.
It may be a while ❤️ We’ve got a very busy year ahead and we’re still looking for some of the key larger pieces for it like the bar 😁
As usual Laura another great haul, absolutely love the god candle holder
Your videos just get better and better. I love how you present and stage everything. Thanks for all you do.❤
WD-40 makes metal zippers like new! I like the pens if you can find them. Otherwise, spray on finger, go along zipper between finger and thumb. Start zipping slower then faster, reoiling as needed. Lasts a long time before re-oiling anytime soon.
Thank You for another Great Episode!
The carved wood lady it might be a cuban art, that's la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre or Oshun (santeria)
She is one of the most popular and venerated Orishas. Oshun is an important river deity among the Yorùbá people. She is the goddess of divinity, femininity, fertility, beauty and love. She is connected to destiny and divination. Ọ̀ṣun.
Great video - Love the beautiful little baskets you found, and I love your blouse. Is it a vintage find as well - it's lovely.
I love those two small folk art mirrors and can’t wait to see them on your gallery wall😍

The 3 pc tea set is amazing
I don’t know how badly the zipper was broken on that purse, but I remember my mother fixing my brother’s jacket zipper by rubbing a pencil lead over the teeth.
Laura, how do you decide what to keep and what to sell? I loved the purple soapstone sculpture and the colorful horse! That zodiac ashtray was so cool! The coordinating mirrors with flowers were pretty! Love all that you do!

My favourite is the cheese/coconut grater! Great find

I'd use turtle to hold hot pots.I know it's a repurpose but , I doubt I'd grate anything on the cutie.
Great finds🎉
I think the painted horse is my favorite thing. And then the Chinese ashtray
Do the Puyallup!! It's a Washington thing. :)

Thanks so much! Come out to the Charleston Antique Bazaar in Las Vegas, April 29th. I’ll be there 😁
Hello, its now August 23, 2023. I just watched the roadtrip video so fun. I noticed the blue "soapstone" figurine carving. I tried to go back in the video after i finished watching to freezeframe and take a closer look because at wuick glence it looks like the light blue lapis lazuli stone. Very pretty.
If you were gonna polish the plated silver teapots… any product you would recommend??
Love your videos!❤
What great finds. Laura. I really like the White Mirror💜🧡
