I have the iPhone 16 Pro. All of the settings you suggested were already turned on lol and here’s a tip: when in settings, and you scroll down to Apps where they dumped everything, you don’t have to search. Just touch the letter you want and it’ll put you there - like M for messages 😊

great tips, yet again! Thx very much. Reviewing these settings and keeping battery drain in mind: isn't the airdrop feature "bring devices together" not a possible battery drain?
You forgot a setting turn on Low Power Mode.
When doing your first tip i go to general then App refresh then my screen looks like shaded and when you touch the symbol nothing happen my photo app use 7 hours and so many minutes thankvyou i own a iPhone 13 pro max.

I quit taking updates from these scumbags at Apple. I also keep my phone in a Faraday bag while not using it as well.
IOS 18 forced a voicemail on me I didn’t want. Finally managed to get rid of it, but now I have a permanent red mark over the voicemail setting and my call tab. It’s so annoying!
I want to know how the battery cycle works, I have a 15 pro with 96% battery health after 10 months incharged it always till 80% but my cycle count is less is it a good battery health after so months.
Less the cycle count, higer the battery health, if you charge it only to 80% you are using less than a cycle so your battery should be healtier
Hi. My iphone 15 pro is using find my location significantly more than often. I see the purple location icon almost every 10 minutes. Had doubts that it’s draining my battery whenever I see that icon. Any solution for this!

@@mattroot8002 That didn't work. I went back through the setting's and found that it's the setting for "Vocal Shortcuts" that keeps the microphone constantly on.

I don’t either but if you want to change things, long press on your Lock Screen and there’s a Customize option.

@@notsmg I found out why I don't see it. If you open Settings/General/Carrier and tap on the name of the Carrier you see, it will show what services you can use. In my case, since I'm using MintMobile, only Voice & SMS is included, not RCS

Turning on vocal short cuts turns on my front camera (or at least the orange light next to it at all times) is that normal??? Seems like a battery killer and creepy to me.
OK.. just the very first thing you are discussing, about the apps running in the background.. I HAVE FB cut off and not to run in the background.. yet.... its ran for 1hr + and more so with YT Music.. I have VERY few apps allowed to run in the background, yet they are.... WHY??? so YT Music has ran 9 HOURS & 58 MINS.. BUT on screen time is at 2 HRS ... HOW?? Is it due to the bluetooth?? I've no idea! and now I understand that even tho I've got it off in settings its doing it anyways! I'll DEFINITELY Google this!! crazy! especially when you are 'supposedly' NOT allowing it!! that's why I didn't think much about the apps being my problem! but I was VERY WRONG!! THANKS!!
Small correction regarding rotating private wifi address; it rotates every two weeks, not every time you connect to the wifi network. Also iOS will automatically use rotating on any less-secure and/or public wifi networks such as when you connect to one at the Airport or in Starbucks. It will (or at least should) automatically use Fixed for a modern home wifi network providing it has modern security enabled.
Anybody facing problem on iOS 18 on iPhone 13pro with sim’s I message? My physical sim last night had a reset (saying imports provider message) and after that I couldn’t send an I message. I can only use my eSIM right now. Trying to make it work but it’s loading for ever. I reset network settings, restarted the phone, closed iMessage and turn it back on…nothing fixed it
Hm... I was on a group message when I switched to RCS... and neither of the Android folks even saw my messages. The other persoon oon iPhone saw them, no problem. I had to switch back to SMS.

You’re saying that there’s an Apple setting that you actually have to turn on? Most of my features come turned on, or get switched on, with any new major release. Usually I’m just turning off all the stuff that came with or was switched on with the new release.
Weird, I don't have the RCS messaging in my Messages settings. Only MMS.
There isn't any RCS messaging toggle on my 15 Pro Max
In addition to to requiring Face ID for the Hidden & Deleted Folders within the Photos app, I added Face ID to the entire app altogether as well as the Messages app. 🤫😏
I did a vocal shortcut for Siri so I can use another name. I just wish I could figure out how to do that on my watch, Apple TV, and home pods.
Is it okay to charge the phone till 100%? I charge it till 85 and charge it again when it reaches 20%. I have the 16 Plus and barely get 9 hrs SOT
Apple says to plug in your charger and let it charge. This 80%-20% is nonsense. Let it charge to 100% and don’t worry about it. Good day.
It’s fine to charge it to 100% but if you compare two people, one that keep their battery between 20-80 or even 30-70 compared to someone that charges to 100, after a year, the person who charges to 100 will have a worse battery health

My favourite use of the action button is the flashlight/torch. I don't sleep well and when I wake up in the middle of the night it's useful to know that I can switch this on without having to look
These are all great but the new iphones battery is so good, why wouldn’t someone want to use all their phone? I feel like a lot of these are just limiting what your phone can do.

Apple is so smart that they turn Everything on and it took an hour for me to turn everything off. They hope that our batteries don't last as long as they should so therefore keeping things turned on that we have no use for is their way. But oh no apple not me.
