I own a 2001 Monte Carlo SS. Best car ever! Very fun to drive and relatively low maintenance
Found one with 62k miles, what makes them fun to drive?
@@Mike-cm8vz They get attention, the cops tend to leave you alone, and every time you make a turn no matter what speed you're going it feels like you're in a race car
@@pestisdeathbird5058amen bro. I'm on my 5th Monte Carlo SS now. I currently have an 04 Dale Jr supercharged SS and it is a blast to drive and definitely does get attention
Always loved that Chevy cloth from the early 2000s
I have friends that have never been in mine and they go crazy once they see the trac control button.
Is it a reliable car? I’m about to get on with only about 120k miles for super cheap from a friend
@@camiwerrell5098 same thing here man tryna be set right for my birthday in all 😂♏️
@@camiwerrell5098 I own a 2001 SS and from personal experience, it's very reliable and an overall fun car to drive
I have one of these with 355k miles, runs like a champ
Original engine and transmission?
@@MustangGuy1996 yes
A super charger only gives you a bump of 40hp?
And like 40 more in The tork along with the 40 hp...have a 2004 intimanador...and there trans is a little more stronger...you will notice the diffrence big time if you drove both styles ....
It doesn't only give 40. They only did that cuz the blower is small and making a car that cheap have big numbers wouldn't have been smart.
@@madeulook5872it was 22k in 01 wym
Trying to be like saabkyle a little too much lol
Seams to be in good condition. I wouldnt buy one. You can get a nice two door car with more power for around the same cost. Although early 2000's chevys don't fail. Thats why my silverado has 315k on it.
Austin's Garage - my brothers ‘04 Monte Carlo SS S/C now has 271k miles. Motor is as strong as ever.
jjs777fzr what about the tranny?
Is the tranny good on these or they known 2 go bad
@@jfjfsjjfksfk ive had a 02 for 5 years ..bought it used but great shape with 126.000 miles .it now has 207.000 miles and i e never lost a drop of transmission fluid or had any kind of tranny problems There a great reliable cars iv put a radiator and a weelbearing on it in 5 years . and i dont take it easy on it i let it run 90 n 100 every other day.. if it dies ill buy another
@@mikie4824 how’s it running today and What are the miles? I’m about to get one for $550 200 thousand miles
Do the gasket job and anyone of them will run great

Best reliable car ever

Your car radio and dash is on drugs
It's just the way the camera picks it up. The same sort of thing that you see when people try and take videos of an old crt television.
The just camera is just showing the refresh rate on the radio and dash
