Man, fantastic car. I just wanted you to know, where you live is beautiful. That view of the blue skies with the mountains on the horizon as soon you left out of the neighborhood genuinely made me smile.
Thank you! It was such a fun car. I grew up here in Utah, but the views sometimes still take me by surprise. Thanks for the reminder to stop and take a look around more!
Outlaw black. Very nice! I have an 04 Dale Jr SC L67 Monte Carlo SS and bringing home an 02 L36 Dale Sr in January. I've also had lots of GP GTPs and GTs, my old 03 9c1 popo Impala, and 04 SC L67 Impala. Will never let my Dale cars go though. As a mechanic of 31 years i will say the GM-W bodies and the 3800 L36, L26, L67 and L32 are the greatest thing since internet porn lol. Love pre-bankrupsy GMs they really were the mark of excellence. I will be rocking, building, restoring and racing GM-W bodies till i take my last dying breath
The transmission (4T65E-HD) isn’t anything special, but also doesn’t appear to be terribly trouble prone. Most failures seem to crop up at higher mileage and the costs are reasonable for repairs. With that said, I never had any issues with mine. But I was never wailing on it, so I can’t speak to hard use.
If you’re driving it nicely it’ll be fine, heat is what kills these trannys, as well as slipping gears. A trucool 40k trans cooler and a trans go shift kit will help it out a tok
It wasn’t straight piped, but had some aggressive aftermarket mufflers added by the previous owner, as I was the second owner of the car. Sure sounded great!
Great personal sport coupe.

I love these fuccin cars
Almost bought one last year, didn't want to blow my whole load of $10K. Went with a 07 mustang for $8500.
Great choice! Here’s to American muscle!
when it comes to the transmissions in these, are they really that bad? or just when you beat on it all the time

Typically it’s the solenoid failing rather the tranns failing

@@natep293 you still have it?
@@Motorcycle_Bro No, I sold it on Bring a Trailer almost exactly a year ago. These videos were for the listing. I still miss that V8 rumble, though!
