I got a nice red one. Starting to put Monte Carlo decal on the top windshield. And painting my dog bones red and brake calipers. I didn’t care about going to fast. I wanted something different and something people would give compliments on
@@dennisedmonds81 Nice I plan on buying either a blue or black 2000-2004 Monte Carlo non-supercharged SS just as a sidekick in case my 04’ Pontiac Grand Am GT1 decides to act crazy on me lol.
Umm don't use dexcool coolant on these like it tells you you'll get a bunch of gunk in there and overheat. Learned the hard way 12 years ago. Just use the regular green
My 02 Monte Carlo ss was the worst car I’ve ever had. Always had problems with it, for some stupid reason I bought a 2006 Impala SS with the LS4 and 3 years strong no issues.
Car looks amazing, too bad the power train is garbage. Who was the smart one that made it FWD and only with a V6. And when they put the V8 in it, it was still FWD. stupid
Just bought one 2 days ago, absolutely beautiful.
Nice I’m next in line to grab one in June.

i'm in love when CHEVY mentions the "competence"and it goes with showing the logo XD.
Damn that red ss looks amazing

Boy, those were obscure days for GM
I have a loaded out black SS with the 3.8. It’s got power yet even after 157,000 miles. And I handles extremely well!
Should i buy this or a cobalt ss i had a couple impalas with 3.8
Mine got 154k miles and runs strong after 20 years that still ain’t that many miles
Nice
Beautiful!
I have a 2004 Monte Carlo! If you have or find any videos like this on the 2004 model year, please let me know!

Yep. I switched to the regular green stuff in my W-Bodies. I won't even use that Dexcool junk.

Because FWD was popular during this time and was made to compete against the Honda Prelude, Toyota Celica, etc.
@@hitek9too255 doesn’t take away the fact it was a terrible design. Should have been either rear wheel or all wheel drive.
@@darthkso3745the ss in later models came RWD, and besides the trans being weak these have an extremely strong drivetrain with normal maintenance.
@@keithbroh5730 exept its a 2 door impala!
