Really enjoyed your video. Low light has always been an issue with GP but your footage looked really good. I almost got claustrophobia watching those guys slide into that tiny hole, man, that didn't look good. hahah
@@scottbauerbelow I got horrible artifacting/static in HDR mode while caving, it almost looked like a pink noise in the image, gets really bad at random times. We use the brightest lights available and I still agree HDR is not for caving.
Yeah I think it will help…these setting aren’t the proper way to get good results from shooting on log, it is just a way to get more detail out of your image in the dark while sacrificing some quality….
@@scottbauerbelow okay sweet thanks man still figuring this thing out I also have the light mod attachment that I wasn’t using last night when it was dark out I’m gonna try it out with these settings and the light mod thanks again !
Personally, I'd take unstabilized footage over noisy video. Cavern Diving, mounted on a hard hat (for stability) with good lights, my setting are: Aspect: 8:7 (Why wouldn't you do this? Crop for edit) Resolution: 4K Framerate: 60 (underwater) would do 24 or 30 otherwise Lens: Wide Hypersmooth: Off Shutter: auto White Balance: Native ISO Min: 100 ISO Max: 400 Sharpness: LOW Not impressed with LOG.
Yeah I’m not impressed with GoPro’s GPlog either….i did mention in the video it wasn’t pretty but it does accomplish a very specific purpose. Also the unstabilized footage is almost unusable unless you run it through “reel steady” or some other 3rd party software. It’s all personal preference and I plan on sticking with shooting in standard as opposed to log with the faster shutter speed while keeping my hypersmooth on…
Thank you. Not only did you make the video easy to follow for a beginner you gave a list.
nice

Perfect video, exactly what i was looking for. Thank you. You got +1 sub 🙏👍
Thank you very much! I’m glad that this was helpful!
I watch hdr settings is really good for low light, so in hero11 you can set exacly this same with gopro lab(log is logb=400)
I wasn’t impressed with hdr mode but it is all personal preference…I do need to play around with GoPro labs though!

I was looking for any ghosts that you may have recorded. That what happens when you watch too much ghost videos. That was cool.
