My very first vehicle I owned was a 1952 5 window PU with a straight six and 3 on the tree. I was 13 when I got it. I LOVED that truck and there isn't a day goes by I wish I had it still. Kids now a days need old vehicles like this to learn how to drive with. No power steering. No ABS. No seatbelts. 4 Pedals (yes, mine had the choke pedal). Thank you for the memories!
That some nice work on the pickup truck awhile back I'd saw video where this guy who does Hot Wheels & Tootsie Toys fixes up an old tootsie toy and gave it some pumpkins in the back. I'll look into Sharon Tarshish's video since I like his work in making custom Diecast racecars & offroad vehicles.
The blue was a bit naff. She looks much better now with her pumpkins. Interesting to see you used a dfferent rust look method. Lots of character now and again love your attention to detail.
Turned out really nice! I think your hand painted rust looks very realistic and seems less trouble than the sea salt method on this smaller scale model.
Danny, what a fantastic job on the truck. It looks almost real and the rust is actually in the right spots. The diorama is really good. A great job all around.
Very awesome Halloween truck, great colors and diorama ! Yes Sharons channel is one of these "must see " channels,so many great builds and unic ideas. a goldmine for us to dig in !
Hello, I’ve always loved the 50s step sides. My personal favorite being the deep blue 56 Ford step side. Another wonderful custom. Thanks. See ya next time.
Sometimes I have to pick the car up a dozen times! Some are so rolley i have to wedge something in the axel shaft, but its actually quite hard to do without it being visible.
Great custom Danny! It's good to see you finally rusting up some old Chevys LOL. If you want send me all your old Ford Pickups and I'll return the favor by sending you all of my old Chevy pickups!
Nice custom and diorama. The "old and rusty" looking truck looks much better than the fresh clean original. Maybe the rusteffects are a bit to much but thats o.K. Happy Halloween!
It always annoys me that Hot Wheels made such a cool model, but it is let down by the omission of an interior. It's compounded by having clear windows. Your resto/custom is, once again, top-notch. Nice one.
I donno about taking a perfectly good model and making it look old. I like the finished product, but ... well just seem wrong to do it to one that's nice to begin with. (shrugs shoulders) I doanno, I'm of two minds about this one.

Perfect color. As a kid my grandfather had a 53 Chevy that color. I remember that car so well. When I was 5 that car was only 6 years old.
Excellent weathering job as always Danny. 47-54 Chevrolet trucks are a favorite of mine

I love this! It's one of my new favorites of your custom builds.
Lovely diorama with a beautiful rusty green Chevy pickup!!! 😍 Nice idea with the pumpkins🎃 , you make it look so easy!👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful work. Love the new rust tech. Amazing mud & pumpkins. Nice shoutout to Sharon Tarshish, his work is stunning.
Just perfect! The pumpkins look great and the truck and diorama are beautiful. Thanks for sharing this neat tutorial.

Lovely rework of this truck like the pumpkins and done at right time of the year .......
Turned out really nice! I think your hand painted rust looks very realistic and seems less trouble than the sea salt method on this smaller scale model.

Awesome build on the truck! The diorama adds a nice finish to the project.
Danny, what a fantastic job on the truck. It looks almost real and the rust is actually in the right spots. The diorama is really good. A great job all around.
Another awesome job. I love the truck. Diorama is great. Great job.
Cool truck and diorama, that must take lots of work and time to make those pumpkins. 😄

Wonderful Halloween/Fall decoration, L🎃VE IT!!!
This is really great, sometimes I think you go overboard with the rust, love the grotty wheels as well.
Wow, at 0:19, always rember to put your die cast in park, this is how accidents happen, 😆. Another great build, happy Halloween!
Sometimes I have to pick the car up a dozen times! Some are so rolley i have to wedge something in the axel shaft, but its actually quite hard to do without it being visible.

A spooky Halloween to you Danny. Love your ideas.
Nice custom and diorama. The "old and rusty" looking truck looks much better than the fresh clean original. Maybe the rusteffects are a bit to much but thats o.K. Happy Halloween!

Yeah , I usually add an interior when they don't have one but i figured it was pretty hard to see in this model so I didn't bother.
I love this truck
Love it awesome work 🔥🤘🏻
Great job!
Cheers
I’ve been subbed, and this was an awesome truck! Keep up the good work!!

Excelsior!
Dam danny that was a great vid and awesome custom !!! He is one of my favorites on here as well LOL!!
Well done ;-)
Hey Danny, you did straight paint over rust instead of the usual salt technique. Any particular reason? Just curious.
Actually I wasn't going to go so heavy on the rust i got over enthused lol, also I'm just trying to show different ways of doing things.
Great comment Bren. I really like this technique very very much. It definitely has its place.
Very nice but quick question how long and temperature did you leave the clay for ?
I used Sculpey, they say 130c but i went a bit lower more like 100 and not as long because the parts are so small.
Schweeeet!!! 👍

Superb buddy! Love dioramas! Just posted a new one on mine, check 'er out!
