Love the look of the Pontiac firebird formula, the blue and black along with the wheels make it stand out and ready to be seen on the road, good to go with this project and keep it up.
It's amazing how rounded-down worn a chipped old homemade paint job can make a casting look, and how much crisp detail really pops once it's all stripped away.
Love this CUSTOMED Pontiac firebird! My dad had one 70 Pontiac firebird in red brown! He'd open the trunk with a screw driver after a Dr in a Jaguar carelessly hit us from behind exiting the freeway around 3 a.m.! Some smoke creeped into the cabin, we drove with windows down! LOL! He later sold it for $500 dollars when it didn't run anymore to a mechanic! LOL! I'm sure it was resurrected! LIC. PLATE : " 805 CRO" CALIFORNIA! LOL! 😁✌
I just watched a few of your restaurations. Nice to see old toys get refurbished. As a scale modeler myself, I saw you struggle with the windscreen. Of course in the end you solution looks great, but perhaps a few tips for future restaurations. I thermoformed a small canopy. From a soft wood, create the right shape and use blister packaging plastic as a new windscreen. Use a hair dryer to warm up the plastic and pull it over the shape. A second solution could be, by creating a mould out of silicon rubber, since you still have a unbroken part. And finally use clear resin to cast a new windscreen. But this is a bit more difficult than the first solution. Keep up the cool stuff
Great job, Danny. Looks to be a 1975 Firebird Formula. The long hood intakes were a staple of the Formula, and were actually part of the sheet metal. You did a great job of resurrecting this beautiful Pontiac.
You could paint the windows black to make the tinted window look. Btw the finished Firebird paint looks just right. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it.
There was a time when Matchbox cars were soo inacurately reproduced (disproportionate). But now we look back and they are really charming, like the Challenger convertible (love that one too!). This one came out fantastic. Great job.
Another great restoration/customization! You brought life back to this old girl! I love the addition of the black center stripe. FYI - those are not turbos. That is ram air induction that would force fresh air to the air cleaner and engine. No turbos on this baby.
I LOVE this... you did such a great job. The original looks almost exactly like what I did to my original Pontiac Firebird from when I was a kid. I repainted it and beat it up pretty badly. This was always my favorite Matchbox car. So when eBay was big in the early 2000s, I found a new one in mint condition and bought it. I still have it today and was looking at it while I watched your restoration. Once again, wonderful job.
Absolutely stunning Danny! It’s a 1974 firebird - One of my favourite matchbox cars of all time. I’ve actually been looking out for one of these to donate to you.
Excellent job with the windshields, in my opinion. I like that it gave you the opportunity to have the side windows open. I think you might try slightly heating the plastic as you put it into place, and maybe connecting the front and back templates with a small strip that could be "glued" with silicone to the casting.
Given the odd wheel flares and the awesome wheels you used I myself probably would have shaped them back a bit. Ive never much cared for this casting because of them. As I have grown older I have opted to alter the casting as a result. Love your take on this iconic superfast...
Danny, this is so smart and classy, your perseverance has paid off, never seen anyone before making windows and windscreens, I’d love this on my driveway. Loving the Smoke Paint on the base too...keep em coming please!
Great job! I can't remember how many examples of this car I had. I remember my cousin giving me two for Christmas one year, and, uncharacteristically straightforward then, I said, "I already have two." I regret saying that because it was ungrateful, but I was / am so car mad!!! I think my Mother and my Aunt had given me this model as well. Even at the time I felt this car was too cartoonish, and the Matchbox designers caving to the influence of Hot Wheels, alas. It's a 1974 Pontiac Firebird Forumla model ("shovel" nose and wide C-pillar sail panels make it a '74, while the twin scoops on the hood bonnet are a not-so-accurate interpretation of the twin "nostril" airtakes on the hood of a Formula .....Firebird and Firebird Espirt didn't have a hood scoop, and the Trans Am had the single center shaker hood scoop. The design begins to go wrong on this casting after the fascia, with the strange-looking scoops that were body-color and faired into the hood on the real car, as well as the absurdly wide fender-flares, and the rear end looks squashed with too much of a "ducktail" upward kickup in the rear. After seeing your inspiration, I may try rectifying some of these issues if I decide to spend time on this model some day.
Great job! My first car was a 1975 “FORMULA” firebird..... it was in rough shape when I bought it.... but it was a great car. I miss it all the time....
A really stunning transformation! The colour is radiant and well proportioned with the stripe, and the base steel colour is far superior to black. The wheels were a beautiful surprise as so many Matchboxes are left with their original and desperately ugly ones. Keep up the windscreen experiments! If a bit shinier you could replace all the absurd old blue screens! Great work!
That's one sweet 74 Formula Firebird. I love the glass you made for it. Much nicer than the yellow that came from the factory. I'm digging the wheels. I would have loved to have them on my 75 Firebird Formula 400. I'm dying to get ahold of a couple of these castings.
Danny, that metallic blue looks pretty nice on that '74 Firebird, as does your choice of wheels! Matchbox didn't quite get the rake of the windshield/windscreen right. Great job as always!
I never see you wet sand between primer or clearcoat, it will definitely make it better paint job. The preparation for paint is always key. But I do love the color. I had a 79 Camaro that color.
Super sweet paint, windows, interior & wheels. Eye candy.
Love the look of the Pontiac firebird formula, the blue and black along with the wheels make it stand out and ready to be seen on the road, good to go with this project and keep it up.
stunning! Every teens dream back in the day. Great Job!
It's amazing how rounded-down worn a chipped old homemade paint job can make a casting look, and how much crisp detail really pops once it's all stripped away.
The Firebird looks FANTASTIC.
AWESOME JOB!!
I never liked this casting until now. Great work.
A nice Matchbox Pontiac you made ... it looks better now than it was as it was new 👍👍
Fantastic color choice and another fabulous restoration and video as always
Super cool le custom😊
Love the colours. Very neat job on a car that was a bit of a mess. Well done.
Nice restomod on this one. Wheels were a perfect addition to that blue paint with black stripe !! Very nice !
5☆'s
good job on the windows….now everything works, the paint, the wheels the bumpers, it all comes together

Nice job...from scrap to all new look ....nice wheels finish the final car off ...
Really really really bad ass Firebird I love the color i wish I had that firebird to my collection
Great job, Danny. Looks to be a 1975 Firebird Formula. The long hood intakes were a staple of the Formula, and were actually part of the sheet metal. You did a great job of resurrecting this beautiful Pontiac.
Love the blue!
Wheels are great!
That Firebird is ready for flying!!
Great job!
I really like those wheels on this casting
Somehow, I missed this one! Glad it popped up in my recommendations. Really sharp.
You could paint the windows black to make the tinted window look. Btw the finished Firebird paint looks just right. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it.
I really love this paint job!

Wow what a difference Danny looks amazing.
I really liked the color combination you chose
Best Pontiac restoration I've seen so far
I like the colour contrast. The black and the blue blend in well. 💯💯💯
Another great restoration/customization! You brought life back to this old girl! I love the addition of the black center stripe. FYI - those are not turbos. That is ram air induction that would force fresh air to the air cleaner and engine. No turbos on this baby.
Wow. Beautiful result!
Wow best looking car yet.looks fantastic
Very very gorgeous car you did a amazing job

one of my favorite Matchbox as a kid. Nice work
The Rims are spot on for this car job well done
Great colour scheme.
Very nice custom restoration!!!
Yup. I knew I'd like it. Badass color combo and wheel choice for that model! Love it

Heating doesn't work so welll with the styrene, its really hit and miss and hard to do.
That turned out looking really nice 👍
Great job as always
I can't believe how good this looks after restoring it. Simply fantastic work!
Wow! That came out beautiful!
Given the odd wheel flares and the awesome wheels you used I myself probably would have shaped them back a bit. Ive never much cared for this casting because of them. As I have grown older I have opted to alter the casting as a result.

Sweet build. Really turned out great. The wheels set it off nicely.
Awesome restoration plus! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The Pontiac looks like it just came out of the factory. Love it!
Oddly, the same model, same colour that I found to the family garden, before I leave. Really, curious.
The last, but not, the least.
Thank you, Danny.
is my favorite car in my childhood,i love it!👍
That was a real mess! Hell of a rescue Danny! Love the wheels 😉👍
That looks really good
Always love seeing these! I just dragged out my 1000 cars tonight
Turned out beautifully done the rims really set it off🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good work again. Well put together.
Would love to see more content on the painting. Otherwise; great looking car!!!
This us a mighty fine custom Firebird Danny . Great job on the windscreens, you certainly did a good job here 👍

Great job! My first car was a 1975 “FORMULA” firebird..... it was in rough shape when I bought it.... but it was a great car. I miss it all the time....
The windows look fine, the wheels and color are a great choice too i think.
As usual beautiful work, love the heavy black strip and the clear windshield!
Damn... Knocked this one out of the park, buddy. Good job!
Another brilliant build 👌

Nice job buddy looks great thanks for sharing buddy keep up the good work bud 😎👍👍
Great looking Firebird. I think it's supposed to be modeled after a Firebird Formula 400. Thanks for the videos.
Nice Firebird restoration!

That was a very rough old bird ! It looks very cool now, great choice of wheel/tire. Well done !🍻
Danny - awesome job mate! Loved the transformation
Nice restoration! Good choice on not using that old windscreen. Yours look great 👍
Danny, that metallic blue looks pretty nice on that '74 Firebird, as does your choice of wheels! Matchbox didn't quite get the rake of the windshield/windscreen right.
Great job as always!
Yeah people are saying the year of it, I almost feel like a its a bit of a mesh of all the early 70s Firebirds.
Very great restoration !!
Love me some Firebird Formula!!!
I just got the Matchbox Pontiac Firebird today
Subscribed to your channel. Love hot you customized the Matchbox Vintage Firebird. Love all your videos. Nice color to the die-cast.
Looks good! The original came with all chrome interior and the glass was orange or gold.
I believe to scoops game with the formula 400 pack. Love the scoops my self.
Awesome work as always mate, fab restomod, it looks great 🤘
Man. Do. That. Car. Look. Good. Nice. Work. As. Always. Lee
Just perfect
The Firebirds with the two scoops in the hood were Firebird Formulas. In the later years they went to a louver/vent style.
Another great save!
Good job mate, love what you do
Nice work
The front of the car design looks good but the fastback look from the Windshield back is awesome
Perfect stripe mate 😎
I never see you wet sand between primer or clearcoat, it will definitely make it better paint job. The preparation for paint is always key. But I do love the color. I had a 79 Camaro that color.
It was beautiful after restoring it, greetings friend
Nice work my mom had one When she was a kid and now I have it.
Beautiful rescue. I always enjoy watching the transformation from beaten down and crusty to crisp and sleek. Keep up the awesome videos!
