Wow! What a fantastic makeover for both the vehicles.😍 The ice cream man was a surprise. He looks great painted.🍦✔ The canteen vehicle interior is magnificent! To top them both off is an outstanding diorama with people. Somethings don't change with time. This is a wonderful timeless display!👍🏻👍🏻
Significantly better than either the mint original in a box or any other version of a restoration or a customisation. Top notch high quality model work. Brilliant, take a bow.
Superb. The custom paint brings the casting details to life. Can't say much more than the comments section already has. Your best work yet. I think the ice cream man is standing in a pool of ice cream. The machine exploded. I'll have a steak and onion pie with sauce, and a white tea, no sugar.
This certainly is one of my favourite diecast restoration/transformations of late. I llike the clever use of food colours on the vehicles and how it all blends-in well with the diorama. 👍Excellent Job, Danny! 👍
Nice detail on the interiors! Ice cream guy's head is enormous! Might scare the small children away. 😲

The ice cream van man is something special. Not only does he not have any legs, he also has a head which is disproportionately large for his body. I guess selling ice cream from out of the back of a van was the only job he was suited to. Poor fella.
Two very nice restorations and a simple but lovely little Diorama. The details of the snack trailer interieur looks so beautiful but could sadly barely seen.. I would like the decals on the other side of the trailer to or at least the black and white stripes going around. Same with the icecreamvan. A "Mr. Wippy" decal and stripes as on the sides on the rear would look great.
Oh wow! Really great custom restoration on both these iconic old Matchbox " canteens." The paint on both really pops. The detail you added to the " takeaway" was really cool. Stainless steel counters and boiler. A great old brass cash register. Really nice. And what can I say about Mr Whippy. It's all spiffed up. Himself and his new company truck. Great stuff. Thanks. See ya next time
I love this one, probably one of my favorites. But that ice cream man really looks odd and out of proportion to the vehicle itself. If he had legs, he’d be towering over the thing. He’d be a true freak of nature. I loved the detailing and the diorama too, really makes the scene.
He does look a bit odd. The more I look at him though, he's wearing a long coat, rather than a jacket, which helps a little bit. Part of his legs will be under the coat. I did wonder if the other figures were were "HO" scale. If so, replacing them with "OO" scale people might help a bit, make everyone a more similar size. Just a thought.
The ice cream man must be related to Dorf (Tim Conway character)with his short legs. I was looking at the over spray on the side of his head thinking oops got paint on him and then the frame changed and I literally said "WOW" out loud, He came out awesome. The vehicles look amazing, the extra details really make them pop and the dioramas put them over the top. I had things to go do I felt guilty for not starting them but the end result was worth the guilt of not getting going this morning lol Thanks for sharing Mike from Texas,Take Memories,Leave Footprints
Great work Danny, I love the custom paint jobs on these, the ice cream van looks real apart from the giant guy in the back, its like he's standing in a hole in the floor.
I love it always a masterpiece love that diorama u always make the best and coolest stuff with these cars u are a true inspiration and a master of your craft
oh we don't have takeaway over here. it's to go food. takeaway makes sense tho. Why we don't call it that, I don't know. By the way, we're meeting my wife's friend from the UK later today. I've heard her on the phone, I'm going to keep her talking as much as I can, I love to hear the way she talks.
Nice work again Danny :) Those few figures (and especially the children) bring the diorama to life... I can already hear the boy in the red shirt whining that he wants an icecream ;)
Terrific work. The interior detailing gives it that extra zing. In my neck of the woods we didn't have Mr. Whippy, we had Mr. Softee. In fact I still have a tintoy Mr. Softee truck. Anyway, The customizations are fantastic and the diorama is excellent.
Great detailing on the insides ...wondered when somebody was going to do that drab ice cream guy.. think the kids call him "stumpy"...lol Thought you would paint them as a match unit " Danny's cones & shakes" and "Danny's burgers dogs and drinks"
What an amazing restoration plus! Well Done! I had the ice cream truck when I was a kid. Mine was the cream version. Really enjoy your channel and your skills! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Memories of Mr Whippy from my childhood when we would run out to get a ice cream from him,the canteen is really nice and very different from the original produced by matchbox.Nice diorama to add the final touch....excellent work Danny ...
What a result Danny !! 👌 The detail work really brings these two to life. Maybe slightly strange choice of colours but they really do work.👍 Using fewer decals has made a huge difference to the ice-cream van, although I agree with the comment about "MInd that ****** Child". Your detail painting is becoming a bit of a "trade-mark" of the channel and I'd love to see more old Matchbox models getting the treatment. Cheers for now, Dougie.
Lovely colours and decals, very nice detailing on interior and icecream salesman. 😀 Beautiful diorama, not too much stuff on there, just what it needs.
Hello there, you have just created some incredible restorations. I always loved both these classic models, and you have taken them to whole new level. As they say knocked it out of the ball park, or cricket in my case! Keep them coming. Loved the display base too!
A couple of really nice builds Danny and a great Diorama to finish with . The guy in the icecream van reminds me of the Joe the ice cream man who still comes around our street in the summer months to this day, from when l was a kid some 40 odd years ago . And yes we have Mr Whippy ice cream vans in the UK aswell 👍😀
Tonibell and Mr Whippy were the two brands of ice cream vans in the 50’s to 80’s in England. Still some of both can be seen although a lot more competition Hesse days.
Awesome work! But I would like to see you kick these customizations up a notch like making a diorama of a car crash like a car hitting a tree out of some models with opening hood and doors probably
That static grass is a brilliant idea, if they made dark brown grass I could put it on my head.
Wow! Incredible!
They are both masterpeices. The detailing of the ice-cream van interior really brings it to life.
Love that you painted the interior. It makes so much difference. Very nice diorama

The ice cream vendor details are 🔥🔥🔥. It's great that you went with your own custom route instead of the standard restoration 😎

👍Excellent Job, Danny! 👍
While the "makeovers" were VERY good - the diorama makes it all POP. I give it an overall 10 !
Thanks for sharing...
Great job! That diorama is perfect for both, just a peaceful saturday evening
They look fantastic! The interior paint and diorama really bring this from a toy to a scale model. Outstanding work on everything.
Excellent...the best. 10 point. Congratulations!!! Bs.As. ARGENTINA.
You did a really, really , great job!
The detailing was awesome, so was the paint jobs!
First rate! Thanks!
I actually still have the trailer (in still good condition). Love what you did in fixing them both up.
Is it ok that I fancy the girl in the yellow jumpsuit 😂😍😕🥴
That is a work of art the detailing on the ice cream van came out really well :)
Nice detail on the interiors!
Ice cream guy's head is enormous! Might scare the small children away. 😲

Fabulous paint finish. Great work
Super great details!! Love the colors you painted them and the display.
They look great and also the diorama. I just fancy a burger and an ice cream now...
As always, your attention to detail is second to none! Just wow!!
These pieces were some of my favorite matchbox cars. You did a fantastic job. They both look great.
Awesome job, Danny. The ice cream man lost his legs some years ago due to diabetes.
you ARE a real artist!!!!!! amazing how the both two tones came out.
also a gorgious diorama!
you made beautiful models 10 times better!
Brilliant detailing.

Absolutely brilliant job on both the vehicle Danny 👍🏻

Haha! Like the Ice Cream Man from the Movie "Legion"
Mike Smith Agee with you about the ice cream man definitely out of proportion

The wall clock, spatula and cash register in the mobile canteen, are remarkably detailed. Lesney were so meticulous.
the interiors came out great on both. Odd paint colors, but great 2 toning
Great detailing on both models....well done Danny.
And of course, your dioramas are an absolutely hit !⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They turned out amazing great job
Absolutely lovely finish to both, what a revival. 🇬🇧
The ice cream truck is like the one in the Beatles movie Help! ? Great looking diorama!
Great custom job. I recently did the ice cream van as a Mr Whippy van.
BRAVO BRAVO Dany on this amazing job on the Icecream truck and the Caneen truck inside and out .👏👏🙂👍👍
Hiya Danny it's jenny and the cats. You did an amazing job of these little model cars. They look wonderful 😸
I love the details on the interiors.
Fantastic detailing Danny, the result is well worth the effort. Top marks 😉👍
Great work Danny, I love the custom paint jobs on these, the ice cream van looks real apart from the giant guy in the back, its like he's standing in a hole in the floor.

Great video Danny. The models keep getting better.
Exelent custom, made even better by the diorama. Mind you, Mr. Whippy is a really big bloke compared to his customers.
Wow bloody fantastic job, thanks 🧐
Nice one Danny Boy, that reminded me of when i had my old hornby train set, and i decked out the board with grass and trees
Very nice job better than new
This is brilliant work Danny the details are awesome. Very well done 👍
Great looking customs! Love the videos.
They really turned out awesome and the diorama ties it all together nicely. Great job 👍👍😊
Awesome job Mr Whippy in Australia to great job cheers KC Tasmania Australia

The way you painted the ice cream man it looks like James Bond undercover!
