- On February 26th 2014Luthier Ken Parker, of Ken Parker Archtops stopped in South Florida to deliver one of his latest custom made guitars in person. The guitar is called "Inner Peace".
That night two legends of guitar happened to be performing in Miami at the Gusman Theater,Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor. Ken stopped by the show with his client Scott Lane from Dark Horse Flyer, and his new guitar to hang out with the artists after enjoying their performance.
This is a short video of what happened when these men touched and played the Inner Peace guitar.
I'm still "High" from this magical....once in a lifetime moment with these two Masters!!
Two masters that I have spent countless hours listening to separately. To see and hear them playing together could be close to my vision of heaven. Thank you both!
These two have a number of colabs here on YT if you havent seen those yet. Fantastic.
I am convinced that if a Doctor did surgery on Tommy they would find a large metronome inside.🤣
It's very gratifying when three world-class geniuses get together for a common cause like music. Ken, Tom, Martin, good on ya's.
Thanx for sharing! Priceless...
Them Parker’s are perfect for Django tunes. Amazing guitar and musical legends just having fun
I always liked the Parker solid bodies but this is another realm! Wonderful!
Just sat here with my mouth wide open for 13 minutes, WOW
One has to appreciate we're not able to really hear or appreciate the sound of these guitars through an on camera mic. But it must sound spectacular if Tommy Emmanuel is saying, "WOW!" every 10 seconds while playing it.
The money sounds spectacular too
The money sounds spectacular too
And just like that, as if by magic, Tommy's left ear moved to the other side of his head! Which didn't seem to phase his guitar playing ability at all on this amazing instrument!
That low E buzz is freakin killing me. Other than that, killer. All the vids I've watched of these guitars convey a richness and amazing bottom end.
+fatboylo96 This might sound strange, but the buzz is part of the appeal. If I played a Selmer-esque guitar with no buzz, I would think something was wrong with it. lol
I like a slight buzz in a guitar, makes it sound more natural.
All TE’s Matons buzz
@@marktheshark27 Then there is an issue. There is absolutely no excuse for fret buzz.
@@geetarwanabe Yeah, and I like my track car to have a pull to the left, it drives like complete garbage, burns through tires, and turns horrible lap times but makes it feel like the total piece of shit car I first owned.
Everything about this is perfect.
Wonderful video. Thank you.
wow...
picking my jaw up from the floor...
Wow it sounds just beautiful 💖
Sounds amazing!
Love these two masters
Gotta love that endless string buzz nice
Nothing like having two world class players take your latest for a test drive!
Enjoyable. Setting doesn't really do the tone justice. Parker's own videos really show this off, even on my crappy computer earbuds. A lot of people commented on the buzz. Even on first listening it's obvious that it's only a problem when Tommy is playing, especially solo. He has a very aggressive attack at times. Martin always seems to have a very light touch - no buzz I coulnd hear on any of his soloing or comping. Any guitar needs to be set up for the player's style(s) - these were just played impromptu. Currently working through Ken's RUclips making series (I'm an amateur guitar maker), and he is beyond mastery.
Sounds incredible, especially with Tommy or Martin playing one.
i’m not trying to be funny, but who in their right mind could give this a thumbs down ?? this is magic in the making !!
Someone with no soul.
Six people who "think" they can play the guitar.
You have truly miserable human beings on this Earth who literally surf RUclips and downvote as many videos as possible. Some twisted way of getting back at the world.
You have no musical taste at all if you don’t get this Brilliant playing. These guys are the Beethoven’s of guitar playing.
It just don't get no better!
Them there guys was having too much fun!
hey I was there and that's my guitar tooooooo
Heatwave by Dick McDonough and Carl Kress if anyone's wondering!
Tommy, the man
F'n wow!!!
I need a 'GoFundMe' to get one of these...
Like peanut butter and jelly...perfectly matched.
Just Swinging Baby !
It does have that Macaferri sound. And we can't really hear it over RUclips.
Great Django Style guitar. The shallow body just punches the notes out. Nice even tone.
Changing my name to Gibson Fender
tune at 1:40? Or is he just playing around do we think?
Mr Parker needs to make more guitars
Please…
Doesn't matter how much they cost its what they play and sound like.
Better for Djangoizing than a classic Maccaferri, to my ear.
Low E is extremelly buzzing.
Lol
I do think Tommy Emanuel lacks feel . A bit clumsy
@@barrycowen627 Lol. It's funny when us mere mortals judge the masters.
This guy just wanted an endorsement for his guitar. There must be times when Tommy doesn't feel like playing, and I have watched him play with folks for whom gypsy jazz is their first language. His is more blues n country n pop.
Are you seriously saying anything negatively about the guitar or the players? When they jam together do you hear any buzzing?
I wish I was as clumsily talented as either of these masters!
6:04 feel the weight of that
wow *BOOF*
yeah super light
Two silly Genius Maestros.
Hey... is that a Parker Fly™️ ?
Tommy’s right Frank Vignola would love it
I was wondering who he was methioning, thought maybe he meant Gambale.
HOW MUCH?
I'm guessing that neither of two of the most deserving players on the planet will ever have one in their collections. And Stephan would be a third.
Only someone named Martin Taylor has the right to assess top of the line and vintage acoustic guitars...
2:24 Buzz buzz buzz
Tommy could make a cigar box sound good.
Martin is correct when he says it's the best guitar ever made, it really is beautiful and sounds incredible. Poorer players make it sound poor. These guys really bring out the best of this guitar.
The best guitar is the one that sits perfectly in your hand, which you love to play. Everything else is subjective...
Why's the bass E buzzing?
I doubt either one of these world class players could afford a Parker guitar lol
And both made great names for themselves with lesser instruments...nasty comment
It’s very loud like a resonator guitar.
Inner peace with that buzzing going on? Set it up please, for the love of god!
Too much fret buzz on the low E..
you get over it. lighten up.
been playing 40 years its a compromise. you gotta drop that low e or you're out of tune. your action has to be low for proper intonation and playability. id rather have a little buzz than an out of tune guitar that's difficult to play.
That’s a relief
Tommy looks like a little kid that you have to snatch the guitar away from and force him to go to bed or he'd play till he fell over!
Just... wow....
Reminds me of Chet and Leo on Prairie Home Companion. You're witnessing a once in a life time occurrence. Just be quiet and respectful.
BTW... to answer the question, about $30,000 each. They are labor intensive.
Hard to say, not hearing it live, but I think it sounds a little thin. A lot of buzz, too.
Am I the only one hearing the 6th string fret buzz?
No. Read the comments!
A matter of opinion. I've seen, in my opinion, nicer guitars.
IS TOMMY RAVING ABOUT PLAYABILITY AND CONSTRUCTION? WHAT ABOUT SOUND ?
I don't like the bottom end.
Buzzzzzzzzzzz
A lot of fret buzz.
Ugly sound. ..
I seriously don't understand what they are so excited about.
It sounds terrible.
As an acoustic guitar it sounds horrible. Sounds like an Ovation. I prefer a more open, woody tone. This one hasn't sold me.
Sorry, but to my ears it sounds like a cheap tin can with strings on it. It buzzes and snares and costs 50K and far more.....
Sorry but no, that did not sound great at all.
dont like that sound at all.
Martins are just better than taylor
That headstock is ugly,
though i can see how I would utilize it for playing..
I also dont fancy a veneered neck. ..
Sounds like every 90 dollar guitar ever made. I mean its good for whatever that dude is creaming himself over and thats great for him. Still dont like golden corral.
