- I receive many requests from subscribers to let them know where they can buy frozen anchovies for fishing Lake Mead as it seems to be one of the best bait used by locals. Yes, Walmart is the go to place buy them. However, recently, they seem to be sold out often. So, in this video, I will show where you can buy frozen anchovies, so they’ll have a great bait that is used by many when fishing Lake Mead from the Bank. I get my bait at Walmart. Never knew there was a huge tackle shop in the Marks St. shopping center. Will have to try it.
Last Wednesday, I went to Floyd Lambert park where it took me 6 hrs. to catch a 5-6 lb carp using oats, canned corn, chopped bread and red jello flavoring. Fake corn as hook bait. Took a long (and relaxing) time but it was worth it. OK, Peter, all for now. Take care. Later...

Anytime you can hook up to any fish it makes it worthwhile. I do have some fake corn but never caught a carp using fake corn yet. That will be my next challenge. 😉 Thank you always George.
There’s a rebel gas station in Boulder City where you can get frozen anchovies and nightcrawlers as well. It’s on the way to lake mead too!
