Thank you for watching and your well wishes. I haven’t gotten that sick for a long time but glad it is over. The weather seems to be perfect for spring fishing so looking forward to be back at it. Take care.
Hello Busy Dad! Following your channel! I haven’t gone fishing in like 3 years. After watching your video, I finally got the itch to go. Whats the best spot to go fishing at Lake mead for beginners. I’ve never fished there. Thinking of going next weekend🙏
That is awesome! On the weekends it might be a little busy but if you can get a good spot I like Hatcher Saddle Point, Government Wash or even the fishing pier might be a good spot.
Hi Peter, Good video. I was wondering what happened to you. Glad to hear you have recovered from your recent illness. I bought that same Cassio fish watch that you did but I am stumped. To me, the instructions for setting this watch are very difficult. (I'm going blind reading that tiny user guide). Do you have any tips and do you use all the features? Anything that helps me would be appreciated and I would like to see what you bought from Ali. Thanks, again. George Bonafino
Hi George, Hopefully this video will help you set up the watch. If not I can walk you through. ruclips.net/video/spO0Olsuxec/видео.htmlsi=-sr361lIFT_Mj4uB
I usually get it from Walmart. It’s in the freezer in the fishing section. If they’re sold out I go to Sunset Market and Liquor at 1000 E LakeMead Parkway.
Yes, I’m still making them. Got busy with work, family vacation, having visitors and making time to edit my videos. I need to edit 3 outings so those should be out soon. Thank you for your patience and support. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for watching and for your questions. At Lake Mead, there is no limit on striped bass less than 20 inches total length. Limit on stripers 20 inches total length or longer is 20. As for eating carp I personally do not eat them. I know there are some who do eat them tho. I was told by someone that carps caught in the Colorado River (at Willow Beach) tastes better due to the colder water. I know several people will keep carp for catfish bait. Anyway, I hope this helps.
Here’s the regulation from National Park Service: ================= Fishing Locations Hemenway Shoreline Fishing Location & Directions Located on Lake Mead near Boulder Beach to the north of Hemenway Launch Ramp. Enter the park at the Boulder Beach Entrance Station and take your first right. Travel one mile and turn left after the restrooms. Take your first right down the dirt road. Parking is available along the shoreline. Due to low water conditions, only shoreline fishing is allowed in areas outside the designated harbor bouys and away from designated swimming areas. Directions to Location Accessibility Information Parking is accessible. Fishing is only allowed along shoreline. Some locations allow for parking near shoreline, however, conditions may be soft or rocky and not accessible for wheelchairs. ==================== I don’t believe canoe/kayak beach is a dedicated swimming area. I know Boulder Beach is. I’ll check with park services next time to confirm. Thanks for letting me know.
Stopped by Park Service office and was told no problem fishing at the canoe/kayak beach. Was told there is no fishing at the designated swimming area in Boulder Beach marked by the buoys. The rest of the banks from Hemenway are fine to fish. Hope this helps.
The location is between the fishing pier and Boulder Beach. If you go down the Boulder Beach Front Road, you should see a sign for canoe/kayak beach. The road (unpaved) will take you down to the beach.
I see offered from Temu also and it’s nice that they offer free shipping. The items I ordered happened to be slightly cheaper from Ali at the time. Many of the items were shipped for free but some were not. I am not sure about the relationship of Temu and Aliexpress but they sure seems to offer many of the same items. Thank you for watching and commenting. 🙏
I went out last Saturday. I’m thinking about going out next on Saturday morning. It’s supposed to be windy so I’m not sure exactly where but I’ll check the weather forecast tomorrow and make a decision. Maybe Boulder Harbor, Box Car Cove, Hatchery Saddle Point or near Hemenway.
Welcome back and glad your family and you are well

Awesome video! I'm going to be there in May to fish. 👍
Thank you 🙏 I hope you catch a big one when you visit in May.
I wish I could catch carp that size or smaller. I slice them up for catfish bait. Where I go at lower lake Havasu the smallest I've caught was 20 lbs.
20lbs. Carp would be my PB. How big do the catfish get there? Sounds like I really need to make a trip out there.
Nice video!
Thank you very much. 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video, I would love to see the stuff you got from ally Express.
Thank you for watching my video and your kind words. I will my make a video of the items purchased from Ali Express shortly.
Where can you buy frozen anchovies around there?
I usually get it from Walmart. It’s in the freezer in the fishing section. If they’re sold out I go to Sunset Market and Liquor at 1000 E LakeMead Parkway.
Hey Busy Dad , like your videos!!!! Are you making anymore? Hope you and your family are well, you mentioned you were sick lately? 🎣👍

Got 2 questions> #1 What is the size limit on the stripers and #2, have you ever eaten the carp. Seems like they should be edible. Water is clean.

Hey Peter, I came today to lake mead and asked how to get where you were and I was told that we couldn’t fish there?

Me and my brother went out there and at the number 8 hole and didnt get anything. Do u use circle hooks
I was at the #7 hole yesterday. Super windy and the bite was slow but managed to get one fish. Yes, I usually use circle or octopus hooks.
