I've done other Lea Salonga performances before. Go ahead and check them out! ruclips.net/video/16kUyhPDzy4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/wQ5Cv_krcQY/видео.html
Lea is singing for a theatre audience, less facial expressions, more projecting her voice, Jeremy is singing for a YT audience more facial expressions and more subtle tone. But this is a YT audience, close up, Jeremy I think has more TV/film experience, so more aware of the difference from theatre. Both are great, but I feel Jeremy more.
When you close your eyes, you will fell Lea more. I am also quite focused on Jeremy's facial expressions here. When I first saw this, I was just fanboying to Jeremy.
Brilliant performances from both fantastic singers, and a very insightful comments from you. I saw her singing together with Josh Groban, that would be interesting for you to watch.
I wish you could react to the newly released concert of Lea (at the Sydney Opera House)! I love it so so much!! But it’s not on RUclips it’s on PBS... so you probably will not. But you can still watch it and enjoy it yourself! As for reaction, there are some classics of Lea like Miss Saigon, I dreamed a dream, don’t cry for me Argentina, etc. Oh and reflection at D23 is pretty awesome too. All live, very raw.
Lea Salonga and Josh Groban's "All I ask of you" was epic. And the fact that Lea had an injury that time and she had to perform with Josh sitting on a wheelchair. Another fact: The day they performed together was Lea's birthday.
jesus H christ... their second voicing is amazingggg.... o_O (and you're right tho.. i feel like when lea sings, she always focuses on technique and masterful, accurate performance and doesn't devote "as much" focus on complex acting like little movements of the face, etc. that we expect from screen actors..but i guess that's fine with me coz in my mind, lea is the stage actress par excellence..she opens her mouth, pronounces each word with such clarity, etc..she is literally the gold standard for the perfect musical stage actor..and i think she doesn't seem inclined to experiment into the subtle nuances of screen acting..wherein you actively think on and focus upon little facial movements, expressions, etc. that convey strong emotions to your viewers- very important for screen actors as everything can be seen easily on camera up close.. whereas on stage.. focusing on minute facial expressions and whatnot are a waste of time (sort of) if your voice cant even carry to the back or people can't understand what youre singing, etc... so for lea, i guess she has always been, i think, at leasy 75%, or more , vocal technique and mastery and then a small remaining percent she gives to subtle emotional acting.. sort of like an afterthought.. lol...- and that's why some people say that when they look at her sing on screen it doesn't tug at their heartstrings as emotionally as some veteran actors/actresses, etc. with their suave little facial epressions and mannerisms that convey the feeling of "genuine" emotion- but Lea is still amazing though..one of the BEST singers out there bar none..)
I feel like Jeremy is "phoning it in". Side note that means nothing to anyone but me: Lea is a year older than me. Every year she is awesome gives me hope that I can be awesome.
I'm so entertained by your comical reactions 😂 you look like a real life disney character, especially with your comical reactions, matched with gestures 😲, when you kind of like murmur something and your voice also sounds like a disney voice actress 😂 Sorry, I'm just amazed haha! I would love to watch mooore of you. You explain vocal techniques so well, like a well loved teacher back in high school ❤️ Please react to Lea Salonga and Rachel Ann Go duet of *Movie in my Mind* I'm *dying* to watch vocal coaches react to that one. It's a literal form of masterpiece and I hope you'll like it 🤗
Was so excited when I saw that you had reacted to this video of Lea Salonga as I thought she had outdone herself in this video. Your comment on you not feeling much from Lea - let’s agree to disagree.
There is not enough Jeremy Jordan love in these comments LOL. Yes he doesn’t sing technically perfect (arguably. The main critique is that he doesn’t drop his jaw but if you set up your vowels properly while grounding into the body and getting solid chord closure like he does than I don’t think there’s anything technically “wrong” about that) but it clearly works well for him & doesn’t seem to hurt him. And just LISTEN to that tone that it gives him omg it’s so clear and pingy and powerful
they won't be able to do it live, lea is miles away from Jeremy so there will be latency if they do it live because of internet speed and all, they would have to record their parts separately and just edit it.
Right. Lea lives in the Philippines and it seems that there is always some sort of time lag. Even the slightest difference can mess up a song. I’ll add my request for you to reach to Lea and Josh Groban singing “All I Ask of You” and “The Prayer.” Plus, Regine Velasquez and Lea Salonga singing a medley.
I think I'm done for Secret Love Song for awhile. It's just that I've done that song back to back from the two Jingle Ball performances last time! Go check those out if you haven't. However, stay tuned! It's been awhile since we've done Little Mix, might as well down the line :)
Just found your channel and am enjoying it very much! Have you seen the videos where Lea during her show invites a fan to the stage to sing "A Whole New World" with her? They are so fun to watch! This is one of my favorites but there are several from more recent concerts. ruclips.net/video/RGWC7icTM_E/видео.html
Of course it isn't live! It isn't actually possible for 2 people to sing simultaneously over Zoom or the like, so both parts are pre-recorded and edited together. They edited the vocals too. Thank you for pointing out Jeremy's tendency to sing East/West instead of North/South. I think he's good, but I have to disagree when people say he's the best currently in the business, and this is part of why. He does have technique issues that could be improved. I think there are better actors too...he always defaults to the crossed arms and squinty eyes. He's very, very good, but there are better (both vocally and acting).
Lea Salonga and Josh Groben singing the prayer is phenomenal too.
Jeremy is one of my favorite pop vocalist. Lea sings with such class. Love this duet
OMG Can’t wait 👏👏👏👏
Love them both

Lea sounds live. Not sure about Jeremy. I don’t like this key for Lea
