Batman Unchained, also often referred to as Batman Triumphant was a proposed sequel to the film Batman and Robin. The was to be directed by Joel Schumacher and had a script written by Mark Protosevich.
"It would have been very dark", Schumacher recalls, and the film would apparently have focused on George Clooney's Batman 'learning to conquer fear and to confront the demons of his past'.
A suggestion by The AntOne, this trailer focuses on a small part of the proposed film. A one point in the film, Batman would become overwhelmed by the Scarecrow's fear gas and begins hallucinating about the enemies from his past adventure. In the hallucination, Bruce would see the villains judging him in a court, each condemning him for his past actions.
The actors Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito, Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones were all expected to reprise their roles for this scene.

Wish Batman triumphant would of came out and put a good ending to the burton Schumacher trilogy
So, Batman ingests the Scarecrow's fear toxin and Batman suddenly starts hearing all these villains speaking to him from beyond the grave (or, in the case of Catwoman and the Riddler, in spirit)? Yes, I think that would work. They'd all be messing with Bruce by pointing out how they're all similar to him: Dent has his duality, Cobblepot his traumatic childhood, Kyle his vigilante thirst for justice, Nygma his uncanny intelligence, and Napier his ruthlessness and occasional cruelty. I've seen in the comics that a member of the Rogues' Gallery can often drive Batman into a frothing rage by giving him a "you're no different from and no better than me" lecture. Perhaps that would be Dr. Crane's strategy here.
1:00 ok that would of been freakin awesome to see on screen. We should start a petition for Batman Unchained to be made into either a comic book or a full length animated film. They revisited the 60s show with return of the caped crusader and the two face movie they can do the same for this.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Luckily, I'm starting A show that looks at films like these. We reanimate, reenact, and reason. Expect to see reenactments of scenes like this once we do that episode. I can hear Jack now...

Yes! I've been saying for years that the Burton films (and I consider BATMAN FOREVER one, since Tim coproduced it) should be adapted in animated form; they would be a lot more entertaining to see than all the live-action remakes by Disney. I've also gotten excited about the Flash movie, but I was disappointed to learn that Michael Keaton will be an "alternate" Batman and not the real one. Why can't we have a 70-year-old Batman? Keaton still looks great.
By the way, who would voice Jack Napier/Joker? Christian Slater?

Imo, Crispin Glover would be perfect as Riddler. Tommy Lee Jones was perfect, if Shumacher didn't have him act with a sense of humor. Batman & Robin could've been better if given better thought out plot/storyline. Without Mr.Freeze's humor and Bane's frankenstein likeness.

Nope. Nicolas Cage, because Brad Dourif was actually Tim Burton's choice for The Joker in 89. Besides, they only wanted a big star to play a Batman villain, like Jack Nicholson as The Joker, Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face, and Jim Carrey as The Riddler.

That is because Joel Schumacher wanted it to be darker and not campy like Batman & Robin.
Because Mark didn't add them into his screenplay for Batman, and he only had Jack Nicholson's Joker and Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face.

Clooney, while he appeared in the worst Batman movie, had potential to be a great Batman, he was good as Bruce Wayne but as Batman, he was trying to be prestigious Adam West take, not having his own interpretation like Keaton and Kilmer. Had he done another one, I feel like it would have made up the train wreck that was Batman and Robin
