The very rare Paul Stanley solo, he's actually pretty good on this song.

Since you asked about KISS live, they are the originators of the big time fiery Rock Show. You should find a live version of “God of Thunder” with the bass solo. They do it almost every concert. Their live shows are what Rock was made for.

I'm one of those weird KISS fans that loves The Elder. There's some great stuff on there. Gene definitely can sing when he gives it a go. I've seen them...a dozen times or more since 1979 and it's been a blast every time. If I had to be honest, the best show I've ever seen was probably Alice Cooper, but KISS take the rest of the top five easily.

The Elder is fantastic. Eric Carr, in his debut, really shines. I feel Paul sings a bit too high on a track - Just A Boy - but all of the instruments are incredible 😱

No Auto-Tune here. Paul's solo was great, too. KISS is a band that "subverted expectations" before it was cool.

God of Thunder, Creatures of the Night, and I Love it Loud.. all must listens. And for a fun one, KISS did a great cover of a 1973 Argent song called "God Gave Rock n Roll To You" for Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

Great reaction to a great song! My favorite thing about KISS has always been their broad spectrum musically, something i think most people miss out on due to people not wanting to give them a chance because of their distinctive look. If you want to hear something heavy check out "Unholy" from their back to basics comeback album Revenge from 1992. Fantastic heavy track!

    • @Doodsy1975

@@TheAdventuresofTNT, KISS hate the album, because it was, in their eyes anyway, them "selling out" to try and please critics. At the time, the fans hated it too and it hardly charted. But in hindsight, many KISS fans, myself included, really like the album.

As a life long KISS fan all songs are good. But we do all have our favorite songs and eras. This song is from the elder and meant to be part of a movie sound track. It’s not their best KISS sound but it has it’s own uniqueness that makes it good. Ive seen them in every decade they’ve been around. The concerts are amazing.

Been to a few KISS concerts when they played stadiums, one of the all time best shows
I have ever been to, they know how to put on a concert and it's an incredibly fun time.
It's a shame most of these classic rock/metal bands just don't have the same vocals
for these shows any more, but back then it was fire.
Classic KISS try - Watching You, or Strutter and for recent KISS, Unholy is good or Domino.

Some classic's to request: Charisma, Strutter '78, Got To Choose, Plaster Caster, God Gave Rock And Roll To You, Love Her All I Can, Shock Me from Alive 2, Jungle, Do You Love Me, or Strange Ways. KISS experimented with many different genre of music. Some popular rocks songs from the original classic line-up, Rock and Roll All Nite, Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, & Love Gun. KISS had ballads with the songs Beth (was the band's biggest hit sung by the drummer Peter Criss) & Forever (Hit ballad from the non-make up era). There is also Hard Luck Woman which is a song with a country music vibe. KISS also has songs with heavy metal vibe, Creatures of the Night, I Love it Loud, War Machine & Unholy. Then there is songs with a 80's hard rock vibe with Lick It Up, Heavan's on Fire & Tears are Falling. Other genres of music include, Grunge music with the song Jungle, and pop rock music with the song Tomorrow & Crazy Crazy Nights. The lead guitarist Ace Frehley also scored a hit with the song NewYork Groove. Enjoy the ride into the KiSS rabbit hole.

About that static you hear throughout the first minute of the song, there was something wrong with the wireless of Ace Frehley's guitar (The guy in the very beginning of the clip) which is why you see him strumming his guitar but there's no sound. The sound comes in during the first chorus.

Kiss made tons of great songs but it really depends on what era of music you enjoy.
They’ve been going at it for a long time and there’s a lot of different styles and in my opinion they always tried to make each album to reflect what was cool at that time.
I seen them last live in Cleveland with the Psycho Circus Album and the showmanship and music was great.
The Red curtain dropped and they started with the song Psycho Circus and the stadium went nuts.
They used a Screen behind them which was in 3D and it was a really different concert than others I have seen.
I would recommend giving the song Psycho Circus a review.

One of my favorite things about KISS is they have the widest range of music of any band and world without heroes one of my favorite ballods For their Harder Stuff Check out my favorite tune 100,000 years live And yes have been to few KISS SHOWS and yes there is a reason they have been rated the best live band have seen both with and without makeup. For show I prefer make up The theatrics are awesome but am one of the strange ones I like them musically with out. But its all Good there my Favorite Band

Just a boy is another top song off music from the elder if you want to hear Paul Stanley's amazing vocals.

Gene is one of the best showmen in the band. He breaths fire 🔥 and spits blood. He is not one of the best bass players but was, at one point, ranked in the Top 50. If you never saw KISS live, especially with the original 4 (Peter, Ace, Gene and Paul), you missed what Rolling Stone voters rated as the #3 live act . Only 2 in front of them, I think, were Queen and the Rolling Stones

Ok, now you need to do "New York Groove " by Ace Frehley to complete the quartet of singers.

His solo, Rock Soldiers , he told the story of his auto accident and his return. Bad ass song, I think.

For a great live reaction please react to kiss Black Diamond Live from budokan 1978. Peter Chris is singing with his raspy voice but it's also a great rock song not to mention the Huge visual performance showing the alive 2 stage in full effect.

Everytime i hear this song im simultaneously happy but also sad.
Happy because its a great track.
But sad because due to this album being negatively recieved upon its release, we never got much more of this kind of vocals from Gene.(that i know of anyway)
