This really captures the dreamlike essence that Beta content for games like Sonic Adventure and Mario 64 have. The lucid landscapes combined with the peaceful music really sell it. And a break from any spooks is nice, helps keep them more surprising for next time.

I'm not really super fond of analog horror projects but having a dreamcast tech showcase episode that's literally just that is very clever.
Especially with what kind of technology Adventure was pushing for at the time, something like this would make a lot of sense (using Big for that - a character designed to be more slow-paced and allow people to really see how advanced the dreamcast was for the time through fishing is an on-point decision)
So, good work on that front, I think you've done a really good job.
The classic design of big the cat is quite interesting.
The design goes hard, it kind of reminds me of the cat bus from totoro
At first I was worried aboit Tikal, then scared, and now i just don't know what to think anymore
Some people here says it is like some analog horror, in a meaning that I want to know wth is she doing
Also the big model is so good, it's amazing how totally fits with the atmosphere presented
Damn i tried pressing the arrows like i was actually playing
Big's levels always got way too much hate, in my opinion. There's a lot of patience that's meant to go along his quest to find Froggy, and much like actual fishing, it requires peace of mind when going through these levels. It's just like that feeling in the original Sonic games where you learn to become more patient and take your time with the platforming as well as taking in the scene. As a kid, it's silly and understandable to take in the frustration of Big's content being "too slow" or "boring" but as an adult you come to understand and enjoy the pleasant breathers with his side of the story.
Besides, isn't it only 5 or 6 levels?
edit: It's even shorter than I remembered, with only 4 fishing stages and one boss.

I like Big’s stages for being a nice change of pace
But then there's that one adult who doesn't know about patience and wants to speed.
Big’s level is pretty easy too. Froggy doesn’t put up much of a fight. You can beat Big’s story less in 30 mins.
It gives an inexplicable nostalgic feeling, so calm and serene
I loved this video so much, the atmosphere and everything.
This felt like an old rpg that was never translated during the sega saturn era.

19:10 hit me in a weird way, as I have really solid memories of running through that forest area in Mystic Ruins many years ago as Sonic; and to 4 year old me it felt so real; like I was walking in an actual forest. It's really beautiful to see Big fishing there at night.

I've got an interesting idea based on something I found myself for when Amy gets involved in this.
If you make it into Emerald Coast as Amy and beat the level (I used moon jumping cheats) then you'll actually be teleported into the past section of the Mystic Ruins. No cutscenes can trigger, the maps are empty, and there's no way to make it out except for quitting the game.
When I first uncovered it by accident, it was so ominous and disturbing, and I thought it'd be perfect for something like this series, feel free to try that out if you'd like.
Edit: okay NVM it stopped working for me...I don't know what triggered it in the first place, but the fact that it stopped makes it feel even more ominous...
