    I made 213 with a k20a3 with a vtec killer set up with a rbc manifold, skunk2 alpha header, rdx injectors. Super basic set up running k20a2 cams
    Go with a 3inch exhaust, or atleast a 2.75

    • @TexasHondaChannel

      Right 2 3/4 or 3 is what ima do and locked Vtec would have easily made more power but that small cam on intake side just kills it. No worries already got the next video in the works. Engine is out, new clutch and k20a2 head going on. It’s about to wake up

      I have a video that came out prior to this setting up Hondata but always do a good tune up. Run the correct spark plugs not ac Delco or some cheap auto lite plugs. Prefer NGK or Denso myself because they work great . Make sure it’s running smooth and good before focusing on performance upgrades. Sometimes a good performance upgrade is just a good tuneup. But I definitely agree RBC intake manifold a free-flowing exhaust an intake and it really wakes these up

    • @bobbydelamar606
      @bobbydelamar606 Год назад +2

      @TexasHondaChannel I'm sure I'll need an exhaust also, lol. Right now it's dumped at the header. I do have the RBC intake, Type S oil pump, RDX injectors and Drag Cartel 45 deg vtc. I'll do a tune-up this week and use NGK, I love those.

      @@TexasHondaChannel yeah once ya get the new head on with the real VTec even if just having it locked it'll open it up more and throw some better then stock injectors on it and up the fuel some it'll do even better even if they are just de-caped injectors. Iv wanted itb for years but only real tuning I'd found for them was stuff like mega squirt or trial and error with chrome or something similar but now can't find the hardware to do tuning with chrome. Iv got that chipped p28 but idk what's on the chip and pherable said there's no way to know without pulling the chip and reading it. But the ECU is already setup and socketed and looks ready for a hondata so once I decide what engine route I'm gonna go with that'll be the next big step

    • @Anthony-fc1zb
      @Anthony-fc1zb Год назад +1

      @Texas Honda Channel depends on the type of box you got at the end plus resonators. The vibrant mufflers and resonators seem to be a pretty good fix for having a 3" exhaust piping and keeping the noise down.

    The graph already shows what I’m about to say but there is a huge gain in your average power and torque. Peak power isn’t as important as a broad power-band. There is no doubt in my mind that if you were to compare data from the drag strip on similar outings that you would be substantially faster. You should go back to the graph and see how much it gained through the curve, I’d bet it’s much more than you think.

    • @TexasHondaChannel
      @TexasHondaChannel  Год назад

      Yea the information is saved but it definitely made more power. We were having some intermittent air fuel issues due to o2 sensor going out so I’m willing to bet once I replace it and re tune it would be more power but as it is the power difference feels a lot larger than the graph “peak power” shows.

  • @louisejaunalex-st.cortez7380
    @louisejaunalex-st.cortez7380 Год назад +3

    The dyno comparison isn't a fair apples to apples comparison if it's from the stock dyno pull from a couple videos ago. That mid range gain is more likely from the tuning of the afr and cam angle than the ITB's. The k20a3 don't move enough air where the intake manifold/stock 62mm tb would be a restriction.

    • @TexasHondaChannel
      @TexasHondaChannel  Год назад +1

      In order to do a proper comparison I would’ve first had to tune the K20a3 with the RBC intake manifold squeezing the most power out that we could. Then swap the ITB set up and then do another dyno tune session Showing how much we gained or lost but in order to do that I would have to be super rich because each Dyno session cost money. I’m doing the most I can with what little I have. It probably makes more power with the RBC intake manifold but I’m not after power I’m after drivability throttle response and just having fun if you guys wanna fund every single little thing by all means my PayPal information is in the description. I’m doing this out of my own pocket and it’s not cheap to do this kinda content for a living. So with that being said I hope you enjoy what comes next God bless you
