Again this is why I love this channel is whether the game is in my wheel house, a game i know i will not like, hate, love or like you always give each review great care and depth. While it is all point of view, you list why, how you like something an why. As well as why something fell short or missed out right. I thank you for your passion and intelligence and depth. I really hope your channel grows and grows so you can diversify and do this for many years to come. All the best!!
It's a bit weird. This wast youtube and only reviewer you can really trust is you. Found you not that long ago and you really are trustworthy. Thank you for all the work. I buy a lot of games... library of 800 games +. Now I have become more picky with age. You save me alot of money. Cheers from Sweden
Just wanted to leave a comment saying you've officially became my number one source for reviews. Hell, I even watch the reviews for games I've never even heard of because more than once there has been a game that got put on my radar from your review.
Im glad you had as much fun as I did. There were so were so many occasions where I just stopped in an area and just went "holy hell I love punching stuff!" :D
I've been waiting for this review. I've been following Shiness for the past year and a half; I showed up too late to the Kickstarter, but I pre-ordered it on Steam as soon as we were allowed (it's actually the only game I've ever pre-ordered). I'm really pleased to see it receive a "Buy" rating. I was a little apprehensive considering repeated delays, but I had faith that Enigami would make sure the game was top quality before launching it as opposed to some games that tend to release in an incomplete state coupled with Day One patches, and your review has shown that while not perfect, it's definitely going to be something special. Thanks for another excellent video; looking forward to whatever comes next.
Man I love your reviews. I like how you give constructive criticisms. It is easy to tell that you really just love video games, understand how they work and you just want them to get better.
Like many others I was on the fence, but your review tipped me over....as always. You're really good at shoving folks off fences. I'm surprised someone hasn't called the police yet.
That's not what a furry is and generalizing is something anyone can do to any group of people to put them into a negative light. Similar to how back in the 80s, 90s (not exactly sure when) people assumed that heavy metal fans and musicians were Satanist. Or how even today gamers are still given the negative stereotype of basement dwelling, woman hating, man children. Not saying you have to like furries but if we are being fair you should paint people with a broad stroke while getting angry at people painting you with a broad stroke. Furries ( which does not actually have a definition outside the urban dictionary) varies depending on who you ask what it is. Liking the artistic design of anthro characters means liking bugs bunny makes you a furry or some might say wearing a fur suit is what makes you one and in that case cosplay might overlap here and there in that department. Also the term your looking for is bestiality, not furry.
"Also the term your looking for is bestiality, not furry." Furry is a term mainly used for the sexual attraction to antropomorphic characters. That´s just it. Liking the design from Bugs Bunny or Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank does not make you a furry just like watching and liking Dragonball does not make you a Anime-Nerd. Bestiality is not the term he is looking for, because it has nothing to do with human characteristics.
+Tvirus infected No, I'm calling you a hipster because I felt like it and because you're an idiot. Furry = "an enthusiast for animal characters with human characteristics, in particular a person who dresses up in costume as such a character or uses one as an avatar online". A Furry has nothing to do with having sex with animals.
I never called you a hipster. All I'm saying that furry does not equal bestiality. I just think gamers generalizing while complaining about being generalizing is a bit ironic.
that is a french game/studio i follow since it's early day (i've got the 2 main autors in my FB friendlist) and i'm proud of their work ! It's a child dream project coming to life ! The illustrator had this universe in mind since it's childhood ! Also they invented a whole new langage for the game, the Mahelian, wich is available as a free DLC changing the whole english dubb to Mahelian ! They were helped by true linguist (like for Far Cry Primal). Shared on TuyatrojoueY the french gaming webzine : facebook.com/tuyatrojouey/ ! Thanks for the work as usual Karak ! (i heard they are already working on a camera/alpha effect patch !).
You are an underrated reviewer. You basically s*** on "official" reviewers like IGN and Gamespot. While you don't have the entertainment value of Angry Joe, or stylized editing to grab my attention more... you more than make up for it for the following reasons: 1.) You somehow manage to get to the point of each section of your review while still offering enough details to make it easy what to expect. This was less true in your older reviews, but you stepped up as time went on. 2.) Even though you say plenty of things that are opinionated, they also have good reasons for being mentioned (especially for issues on the game), which makes them less biased than what I expect. 3.) You don't give games the cliche "numbers" ratings like most, but have clear and concise labels that are fair and backed up by various reasons to the quirks of the game. 4.) You actually respond to a large amount of people here (if not all) on your channel, which means you pay attention to feedback. On a scale of Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, or Never Touch... I'd buy you. *As a reviewer, and nothing else*
Karak, mate do you ever sleep? I don't upload videos so this is knowledge I don't have. How can you play 2 different games, write the review, edit the video and upload so fast? btw, thanks for your hard work!
Thanks for another excellent review Karak! This game looks really interesting, I'll probably get it eventually. But man oh man, would I kill for a Thundercats game!
This was delayed several times, but it seems to have turned out just fine. Glad to see that. Thanks for another fantastic review. (probably shouldn't have laughed as much at that tomahawk joke, but damn that was good)
Will you do the Voodoo Vince remaster? Great work as always brother! 2 games in 1 day is a score for me, but I'm sure it's tough work for you. Thanks for being dedicated, I know you love what you do to see such commitment.
I remember when I first saw people talking about this game and shunning for having heavy anthropomorphic characters in it. Good to see the devs made something respectable.
+kyotheman69 He was just stating his PC specs. thanks for bringing this game to my attention. as a long time Jak and Daxter fan I see a bunch of promise here. And I am sure glad you pull for the underdogs. A huge bonus when it comes to sticking with a reviewer. Cool, man.
I was super excited for this game for a long time, so the fact that you still recommend it with its few issues, means I will have a blast with it. Thanks for another good review Karak.
Damn. Thanks for this great and INFORMATIVE review. This was on my radar for a while but I'm def getting it now. I feel this 'middleware' type games deserves more attention and are great for the industry at large. So I'm glad you're spreading some love for this game ^_^
I have been waiting for a reviewer I trust to assess this game. I have been tentatively excited for this game for well over a year now. Thanks for the great review!
So yeah, been following (and looking forward to) this since they announced it about 2 years ago or so. Really glad to see its a decent game and I can't wait to dive in later when it finally comes out on Steam. Also, maybe its just be - but this game is giving off a major Jade Empire vibe to me. Right guys?
As always timely and some of the best reviews around! There's no reviews on Steam for this which is odd.. Maybe people are too busy playing it still today. I'll probably pick this up today.
Why would RUclips demonitize you? I don't really get how the system works anyways, but it would be a shame because I really do like your content and wish you could make a living of it
I might have misheard that then. I thought he was saying it in the very beginning of this video, but that was probably aimed towards the sponsored bullcrap (?)
Crispman 777 but most companies (except Nintendo) allow content creators to use their game for videos etc. because it's good advertisement. Or so I thought at least ^^
I'll be adding this one to my collection soon. Been watching this for a while now and after your review I'm convinced I want the game. How long would you say is the main quest? So excluding any side quests. As for the latter, are they worth it?
I hadn't heard of this game until I watched this review. Now it's on my list of games to check out! I might wait a bit to see if the camera issues are fixed since I can see those really getting on my nerves but it's always nice to have a new and unique RPG to play.
Hm wasn't expecting a buy rating, but your review got me intrigued to check out this game. That said jebuz Karak how do you find time to play all these games0_o?
Thanks. I was on the fence when I watched the trailer this morning but I think I'll dive in now. I don't think the issues will spoil my fun overall and I have a fairly high jank tolerance when it comes to mid-tier games anyway.
You know, I always thought this game looked pretty bad. It just seems like the type of thing that doesn't work out well. Surprised to see you liked it as much as you did. I'll definitely check it out sometime.
Awesome review as usual. :) Karak, quick question: How do you decide which music moments to showcase is it about showing the most representative bits or the most outstanding ones (or is it something in between)?
Oh. I've been sleeping on the release for this but I definitely had an interest. Thanks for the review! No physical release though. I don't get digital unless it's free so I guess I'll hold off for now.
So basically The Shiness the Lighting Kingdom is a combination of Masters of the Universe and Jean-Claude Van Damme. I grew up watching Masters of the Universe and Jean-Claude Van Damme movies which makes this game even better. My two complaints with this game are in regards to the annoying as hell camera angle and being able to fall off of the battle arena. One minute you can be fighting an enemy with a good view of the battle arena and the next minute the camera angle blocks your view with foliage or environmental objects. Suffice to say, the camera angle is very inconsistent and is a pain in the ass. Being able to fall of the battle arena does get frustrating. Sure you don't fall to your demise, but its still irritating nonetheless. In that regards, I feel like I'm playing Soul Calibur, because in that game you can fall out of the battle arena but its not an annoyance like it is in this title. At $30 I can forgive the aforementioned issues. The game is colorful and vibrant. The combat seems like its a lot of fun. Plus, I'm a fan of the RPG genre to boot. I actually picked this up before watching the review and your stamp of approval made my purchase worth it. Thanks for the great review as always. Keep it up!
Man I just found your channel, great review looking forward to seeing future reviews. Bad news to all this is I now realize how bad of a reviewer I actually am. Great work!
Two reviews of this game, both quite positive. Phew. Was really looking forward to this, but afraid to get burned yet again. It's an instant buy now. :-)
Wow. Never heard of this one. This looks right up my alley, but unfortunately, I shan't get it when it's a "digital only" title. If it were to ever see a physical release on PS4, I'd snatch it up, but I doubt that'd happen this long after the fact.
Hey I've got a question for you. Did you ever experience any problems during cutscenes? When cutscenes play on my copy of the game for pc the audio is very messed up. Is it just my computer? Everything else seems to work just fine for me except cutscenes, the manga styled ones that is.
Are you going to review Shenmue III when it comes out in December 2017? Sony is going to market the game soon so that's good maybe we will see a trailer at E3 2017!
Karak- I'm a new subscriber that only recently discovered your hard work. Very impressed with your efforts! I have a quick question about Shiness. Ordinarily your reviews talk about difficulty levels, but in this one it was not mentioned. I tend to be horrible at fighting games, especially when moves become a complex series of button presses. Are there various difficulty levels in this game? If so, which would you recommend? Also, kudos on your Sexy Brutale review. I would never have purchased (or even known about) that game without a review as thorough as your. So far I'm very happy with the money spent on that title.
I talked about difficulty a good deal. Like I said most of the game can be got through without problems if you buy healing potions and have a good amount
a lot of games are having this camera problem, at least the ones i played recently... can't they just figure out transparency? it seems simple enough to make stuff transparent when it blocks the camera's view of the main character....
Again this is why I love this channel is whether the game is in my wheel house, a game i know i will not like, hate, love or like you always give each review great care and depth. 2 in 1 day great start to a week karak thanks for all your hard work

Is this game any similar to Magna Carta? Semi active battle or pure hack/slash?
I can't decide based on review.

I didn't even know this game existed and now I've written it down as a "buy - when got money". Nice work man, keep it up
Furries are gonna go crazy for this game
Why is that gross? A group of people like a so-so game you can say that about anything.
That's not what a furry is and generalizing is something anyone can do to any group of people to put them into a negative light. 6 years later still with the awesome reviews
Excellent review! Can only manage to plan this for later, but it is an instant priority on the wish-list based on this analysis of yours.
Man, you bust out reviews! I love it. Why am I even subscribed to other channels?
glad you like them sir
Karak, mate do you ever sleep? I don't upload videos so this is knowledge I don't have. How can you play 2 different games, write the review, edit the video and upload so fast?

Pupperoni And Pinapple I'm excited too.
Is it physical copy?? Or just digital??
I remember when I first saw people talking about this game and shunning for having heavy anthropomorphic characters in it. Good to see the devs made something respectable.

Stumbled across this review after getting this in Humble Monthly. Impressed with your concise, well-written reviews. Good stuff
When I exhaust my current library of games, I'll look into buying this. Hopefully it will be on sale.
It looks unrefined but interesting enough
thanks for bringing this game to my attention. as a long time Jak and Daxter fan I see a bunch of promise here. And I am sure glad you pull for the underdogs. A huge bonus when it comes to sticking with a reviewer. Cool, man.

thanks Tyler
This is one game, I was hoping would do well. Might have to pick this up at some point. Thanks for the review ACG. It was awesome as expected.
You're the best reviewer on RUclips. We really look up to you.
appreciate that
This needs to be on Switch. People would play the hell out of it!
Gotta admit I wasn't a fan of the aesthetic of the game when it was first announced, but the gameplay sounds like it's worth a look.
I love your reviews. No bullshit. Lots of detail.
thanks penny
I have been waiting for a reviewer I trust to assess this game. I have been tentatively excited for this game for well over a year now. Thanks for the great review!
thanks man
So yeah, been following (and looking forward to) this since they announced it about 2 years ago or so. Really glad to see its a decent game and I can't wait to dive in later when it finally comes out on Steam.
Also, maybe its just be - but this game is giving off a major Jade Empire vibe to me. Right guys?
Oh man, I don't know why the human/animal hybrid designs are an instant turn off for me. It looks like an otherwise great game though.
Justin Doan I feel the same way. So cringey. I assume you share my hatred of furries as well.
Thanks for reviewing this! was hoping someone creditable would! I'm really hoping for a physical release, but if not I'll still snag it!!
it is on sale now via x-box deals with gold for $7.50 (US) this week. Very fun for the price
As always timely and some of the best reviews around! There's no reviews on Steam for this which is odd.. Maybe people are too busy playing it still today. I'll probably pick this up today.
thanks
Why would RUclips demonitize you? I don't really get how the system works anyways, but it would be a shame because I really do like your content and wish you could make a living of it
Did he say that his stuff was being demonitized? I could have missed it but I definitely didn't hear that in the video.
I might have misheard that then. I thought he was saying it in the very beginning of this video, but that was probably aimed towards the sponsored bullcrap (?)
He does say it at the beginning. It's just a thing that happens due to copyright material
Crispman 777 but most companies (except Nintendo) allow content creators to use their game for videos etc. because it's good advertisement. Or so I thought at least ^^
sadly youtube doesn't really say. I have had about 40 so far and growing
I actually forgot about this one. Thanks for the review as aways
I'll be adding this one to my collection soon. Been watching this for a while now and after your review I'm convinced I want the game. How long would you say is the main quest? So excluding any side quests. As for the latter, are they worth it?

ya and it is that
So excited for this game now. Gotta pick this up eventually. Just have so much to play
so many games not enough time
Hm wasn't expecting a buy rating, but your review got me intrigued to check out this game.
That said jebuz Karak how do you find time to play all these games0_o?
2 in 8 days? one of them 2 hours long...not that hard ;)
Thanks. I was on the fence when I watched the trailer this morning but I think I'll dive in now. I don't think the issues will spoil my fun overall and I have a fairly high jank tolerance when it comes to mid-tier games anyway.
I like that focus interactive has a eclectic bunch of aa titles! reminds me of the 1998-2005 era of Ubisoft
yep
That intro was fantastic.
Smashing the reviews Karak! Game looks solid
thanks
Another great review! This does look fun. Think I'll get it today. Any chance for a Cosmic Star Heroine review?
thanks
Ok. Checked your always trustworthy review and got the game right away (on sale today in the EU PSN stores)
Thanks for your great work, man :)
Wow. An action rpg that turns into a sidescroll fighting game during combat? I love the interesting ideas indie game developers come up with.
yep some coolk ideas
Saw this game in the marketplace but was on the fence about it. After watching this review I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get it. Thanks for the video.
I'm glad to see that not everyone is ignoring this game. It's very fun, I can't get enough of the combat.
Thaank you for the review.
you bet
You know, I always thought this game looked pretty bad. It just seems like the type of thing that doesn't work out well. Surprised to see you liked it as much as you did. I'll definitely check it out sometime.
Almost 1 year later and its 9 bucks on sale on PSN till Monday morning 2/19.
I'm diving right in.
Awesome review as usual. :)
Karak, quick question:
How do you decide which music moments to showcase is it about showing the most representative bits or the most outstanding ones (or is it something in between)?
This caught me by surprise! I've never heard of it but seeing (and hearing, of course) the game has made me very interested.
$3.76 in aus with games with gold sub. Couldnt resist, such a great looking game.
nice review. out of topic but will you review Injustice 2?
I will try
Much love and respect! Keep it going!
I'm buying this in the morning!
enjoy
Fai Craig this game any good

Half way through I was going to subscribe, lol and I realized I was already subscribed to you.
thank you
Man I just found your channel, great review looking forward to seeing future reviews. Bad news to all this is I now realize how bad of a reviewer I actually am. Great work!
thanks Glitch
0:01 Did the video briefly freeze for you guys?
Nicely done with this review! It’s ten bucks right now and I’m buying it thanks to your review.
Man I wish I had some extra bucks on the side to support your Patreon :( unfortunately I'm short on that in the time-being
Great review, Karak!
I hadn't heard of this one until now. I have to say that I love the music.
thanks
Just Bought It Under $10 On XBox Market. Looked Good, Happy To See Good Reviews! Cuz I Didn't Bother Looking Before Buying. 🤣🤣
Amazing Review! Love your channel!
Two reviews of this game, both quite positive. Phew. Was really looking forward to this, but afraid to get burned yet again. It's an instant buy now. :-)
I am happy to see this game getting some love. I was worried as the development cycle for this title kept getting pushed back.
Nice review. I hope you do Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces when it comes out!
I cant find anywhere to buy this?! Apart from digitally.. I prefer physical copies.
Wow. Never heard of this one. This looks right up my alley, but unfortunately, I shan't get it when it's a "digital only" title.
If it were to ever see a physical release on PS4, I'd snatch it up, but I doubt that'd happen this long after the fact.
Great detailed review, I'm on the sub train brother. Good work! definitely grabbing this after P5...which could be a while lol
Awesome review as always. Thank you sir!
thanks Alan
I think I remember seeing an add for this all the way back in 2015
Hey I've got a question for you. Did you ever experience any problems during cutscenes? When cutscenes play on my copy of the game for pc the audio is very messed up. Is it just my computer? Everything else seems to work just fine for me except cutscenes, the manga styled ones that is.
mine was fine
So this game is more or less played like Naruto Shippuden?
This game looks great and will probably buy this and Wonder Boy 3 Dragon's Trap remaster if they are priced right.
Great review! The good news is that they are working on a patch! I hope this leads to a retail physical release of this game!
thanks!
Apologies. I listened while walking my two dogs. I must have gotten distracted at some point. Keep up the good work!
You can buy it for 2Usd on Instant - gaiming.
As usual your Reviews are always so helpful.
Wasn't sure about this at first but I'm definitely buying it now.
Thanks for the review
sure
a lot of games are having this camera problem, at least the ones i played recently... can't they just figure out transparency? it seems simple enough to make stuff transparent when it blocks the camera's view of the main character....
is it single player or multiplayer.
can you choose whatever character you want at any time
