I ll buy it, even if I dont like the gameplay, these guys , these artists deserve the money, so they can make more games. This is gorgeous. And runs smooth, and no bugs?Nowadays thats an achievment by itself ;p
havocgr1976 so would you buy the Order 1886 simply for its impressive graphics. Genuine question. For me gameplay is more important than graphics so I'm curious to know if you'd buy this simply for the nice graphics and atmosphere.
mitch-bittens First of all, he wasn't even talking about graphics. Second, he wasn't just talking about the art design but also the fact that the game runs really smoothly and has no bugs. That's really rare today in games.
What the other guys said, and no I would NOT buy the Order 1886, that crap is just an interactive movie.I do like telltale games though which are kinda like that, but although they got meh graphics the story makes up for it.Also amoshpere is important, and hard to nail down correctly. My point was that even if I DONT like the gameplay I still want these talented guys to make more games so I ll support em.
havocgr1976 exactly, this game is perfectly optimized (my PC only meets the minimum requirements and it runs at 60fps with no drops, it's incredible), and the art style and atmosphere are gorgeous! I just want more of it...
That is a really good point. It's partly why this game piqued my interest. I think we are on the verge of seeing big companies recognise that smaller projects can be very interesting to gamers (and thus very lucrative)
Agree with you. This reviewer at ACG is very good and I love this channel, well-rounded arguments etc. but the only point I didn't agree with is the value. In the UK its £20, so it's priced pretty well for an 8-hour game. I personally try and get 100% achievements/trophies on every single game I play so I can probably double that. Like you said, games like Ghost Recon: Wildlands etc. which are good but not great are coming in at £80 by the time you include the season pass and I'd much rather spend my time with a game like this.
Bandai Namco is honestly killing it recently. This and that Code Vein game look like signs of a really promising. There's also whatever Miyazaki is doing after Dark Souls.
ACG wow, can't believe I've got a reply :D. You have inspired me to do reviews in which I adopt your style of focusing on individual aspects of the game. I've only done 3 reviews so far but I've learn't so much from you. there's literally no other reviewer focusing on sound, music and voice as much as you do. I really want that to become more of a trend. Also i noticed you don't do many Nintendo reviews, which might be because of their ridiculous partner program. That being said getting your opinion on 3DS, Wii U and Switch games would be quite interesting. Stay awesome looking forward to a great year of reviews and blogs.

I adore games like Limbo, Never Alone and Inside, so this is perfect for my needs; Atmosphere and a sense of Adventure is 'everything' in a Game - if it's lacking in Mods, Big Boss Battles and Bazooka's? then that ain't a problem.
In all honesty this guy is like a definition of a good youtube creator. He creates extremely good and informal videos, they get straight to the point, he is 100% honest (from what I see) and at the end of the video he doesn't beg for likes like most people, he just says "If you liked this video, give it a thumbs up, if you disliked it, give it a thumbs down", like reminding people that the option is there to thumbs down the video because he isn't scared to get dislikes, honestly I really respect that.
good deal. Inside has been one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had, especially the ending. really nice game and just flatout impressive from an artist's standpoint. Have fun with it
I was wondering if anyone would review this..Thanks! Just pre-ordered this, the fact that they worked on things like Little Big Planet and Tearaway is icing on the cake.
love this game... it's really good.. the only issues i ran into was occasionally falling off things i was walking across( beams, pipes etc) due to the camera.. and enemies sometimes being able to magnetically pull you into their hands even when your out of reach... still loved it though.. a great game
I'm thrilled to hear more about this game. I loved Limbo and waiting for the right time to play Inside in one solid sitting. This has to be on the list now. Even with a low difficulty, I look forward to playing these tonally quite dark platformers. The simplicity of the mechanics means you can just allow yourself to sit and become immersed in a thick atmosphere that very few other video game genres can make as enveloping. I know it's individual taste, but I'm psyched. Cheers Karak!
Totally agree, a few years back indie game base price was $15 and now they are on every platform besides PC it makes sense they are $20. However, those who have been paying these types of games for years will never buy them at that price so it will always be a wait for sale.
Great review. Even though I plan on buying it before it goes on sale, I feel like I know what I'm getting into, which is really all you can ask from a reviewer.
As usual great review, i think the only physical available is only the collector's one. Hard to see that 35 to drop to 20 or less, so I'll wait for a digital sale.
Sounds like something fun an new, thank you for covering this in the in depth intelligent way you do everything. So very glad I subbed a few weeks ago.
Just found my new source for reviews!!! Great video and no bias opinion...wish more reviewers were honest like you. When you get bigger, can you expand to do movie reviews.
I really appreciate your honesty in your recommendations. How you personally couldn't recommend this as a outright buy but you realize that for some people that this title will be worth it regardless. You really have become my de facto reviewer and when I find a game you haven't reviewed I start to get anxious sweats regarding my purchase. Keep up the phenomenal consistency and quality. As for me, I'm headed to patreon.
The only big problem I have with this game is that there really isn't any replay value, other than going back to the levels to get the collectables. It's certainly one of those first time experiences that you don't get to feel again after beating the game once.
For me it’s a rent. I paid $9.99 but still feel it’s not worth it. Too short and it a different art style more like Tim. Burton but it’s boorrring as hell.
am i the only who feels so excited when karak says "sound. music. voice" idk haha it's just a sleek transition and it always follows your critical analysis of the games utilization of graphics and art styles so i always look forward to that "sound. music. voice" thingy you do haha :)
Nice review! 6-8 hours is actually longer that I expected it to be, and for me, that's kind of the perfect length for a game like this. So I'll still be getting the Six Edition if even just for the atmosphere and art.
Been Waiting for this review 👍 While I'm buying this I will say that the price is a bit taller then some may want, so I can understand why you chose this as a "wait for sale". I like quirky games like this and hope to see more been improved. Currently playing A Rose In The Twilight on the vita and I must say I do enjoy it. My only issue is the time attack challenge (optional)
I would like to see a side by side comparison of the the PC- and the Switch version. But it's too expensive on the Switch anyway. I love the Switch but the games just cost too damn much on that console. Especially ports of older games.
Bro, whenever you declare something "Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, Never Touch", you're usually on it. Despite this I went ahead and got Little Nightmares. Though I liked the atmosphere and art style, what put me off was the games controls. They felt so stuff and unresponsive, to the point that otherwise easy puzzles and scenarios just because too damn frustrating. Lucky I had only clocked 96 hours on steam so I was able to refund it. Despite the great atmosphere, Dodgy controls with short run time adds up to a "wait for sale" for me. I should have just listened to you!
Clarence Dass Completely agree - very pretty game, but I found unnecessarily faffing with the controls broke the atmosphere for me. Great set pieces, but the controls while exploring the areas introduced a layer of m'eh that I never experienced with Limbo or Inside.
Reminds me of Coraline, two thumbs up (and a like). One thumb for the dark, stop motion inspiration, and the other for ACG. The like, just feels obligatory at this point.
Hey ACG if you like RPG's or if you want to, you could review Cosmic Star Heroine? A lot of people say it's kinda like Chrono Trigger. Only if you think is worth it. As always, you reviews are great and enjoyable to watch. No matter what review you make, i will always see them all. Have a nice day!!!
Great review man as always!!! This actually looks good.I think eventually sometime down the road i may pick it up on a Flash Sale,or if they have it half price one day, just saying.
I was excited about this game after seeing a clip of it on the web. Wasn't sure if you were going to review it, but happy you did! I'll be picking it up for sure, just a matter of when now :)
I don't like pre-ordering games. BUT I knew this thing would get my money either way just based on the atmosphere and style of it... so I did it. I can live with a short campaign. I barely have time to finish games anyway.
Good to see your review before the game actually comes out. I had this on my radar for a while now and was wondering how it would turn out. Although you say the game isn't difficult, that isn't a negative for me. In fact, I can now safely go out and buy this game when it comes out. As always, great review Karak!
It looks good. Certainly fits into that genre nicely. If it's a bit on the easy side, well I can probably live with that. Might end up playing through it completely which sometimes hasn't happened with other games in the genre.
Hey man, love the videos. Sometimes I feel like they're excessively long. But thank you for this shit. You're like my go to guy. And I always love the 'ehhhhh, maybe subscribe.'.
My only issue is that every where I read about this game is saying it's only 5 hours maximum. Granted its not a full price game but if it can be beaten in one sitting then ill hold put hope for psPlus free version in about a year.
As always thanks for the review, I will wait for a sale but I like 15%, not gonna 75% this game. Centaur are you going to review Dark Souls 3: The fire is fading or that edition is just everything put together without any bug fixes or things of the like?
RIGENSTEIN Dark Souls 3 + DLCs for Europe. It's literally the same as Dark Souls 3 Deluxe Edition in the US. I'm unsure why Bandai Namco always does that in Europe, they did the same with Bloodborne.
I know you said 6-8 hours, but I'm reading some Steam users saying they took around 2-3 hours to complete it. Either way, it sounds like your recommendation is spot on as usual. Great review!
I think there is something to be said for a game like this not being hard. Thinking about it a lot of the game is about traversal getting from point a to point b and the puzzle is more about how to do that than being an actual puzzle. In something like the witness you could get stuck and spend 10 minutes to a n hour on a single panel but that felt okay because it was very clearly a puzzle but I think in a game like this difficulty would end up being more frustrating than anything else especially if you got really stuck because of it and were in one spot for 30 minutes not progressing at all. Basically what I'm saying is I think the value of difficulty is dependent on whether the thing that is being made difficult is the real central point of the game. If it is then the challenge is an obstacle to overcome, if it isn't then the challenge is an annoyance in the way of getting to the more important side of the game.
So, this is a decent game, but it's not quite Inside? Still sounds very good to me. Inside was great, but shorter than 6-8 hours, so I might just get this game. Great review (as always).
I ll buy it, even if I dont like the gameplay, these guys , these artists deserve the money, so they can make more games. This is gorgeous. And runs smooth, and no bugs?Nowadays thats an achievment by itself ;p

Yeah it's almost like they did actual testing on the game BEFORE they released it.
Interesting to see Bandai Namco publishing it. We could use more AAA companies supporting smaller projects like these.
yep it would rock
That is a really good point. It's partly why this game piqued my interest.
I think we are on the verge of seeing big companies recognise that smaller projects can be very interesting to gamers (and thus very lucrative)
this is a game i've been really interested in.. love the way it looks like a playable stop motion movie
true
Adam Poole I think Claymation is what he was thinking
reminds me of something from the stopmotion film Coraline
+Keego Bricks It does have a slight Tim Burton look about it, who's known in his early work for stop motion.
Those kitchen scenes reminds me a little of Fraggle Rock, when they had to sneak past the Gorg to see the Trash Heap.
its only 19 dollars? it should be an automatic buy considering how awful most AAA games are on a full 60 dollars
Agree with you. This reviewer at ACG is very good and I love this channel, well-rounded arguments etc. but the only point I didn't agree with is the value. ya I don't think gaming is a charity. Hours isn't just hours. Its hours of enjoyment and how those hours come together.
Evan Rhoades Honestly, I'm not too sure where you brought it, I'm from the UK and paid £15 pounds for it. Has the price gone up?
Yea and last for like 3 hours... The 60+ dollar games at least last for at least 15 hours
What would you take, quality over quantity or quantity over quality?
Bandai Namco is honestly killing it recently. This and that Code Vein game look like signs of a really promising. There's also whatever Miyazaki is doing after Dark Souls.
Quite literally, churning out reviews at the speed of embargo, yet you don't compromise on quality. Great work, the review was very informative.
blackheart909 Better than the shit that comes from ign and gamespot
yeah, they get those reviews out *fast*
I miss a ton of games but I try to get what I can
ACG wow, can't believe I've got a reply :D. You have inspired me to do reviews in which I adopt your style of focusing on individual aspects of the game. Finally a playable Tim Burton movie!! You sir are a scholar and a gentleman!
psychonauts probably gets closer
Intoodeep Forsleep The Nightmare Before Christmas on PS2.
L Man i completely forgot about that one. Lol
$20 for 6-8 hours? I'll take it. I've played shorter $60 games
its the quality. Otherwise getting kicked in the nuts for 6-8 hours would be...good enough
Triple H3lix yup resident evil 7 $60 and took me 6 hrs to beat. I bought the collects edition for $27.99
Frankie Santos oh hell don’t you hate that?
I adore games like Limbo, Never Alone and Inside, so this is perfect for my needs; Atmosphere and a sense of Adventure is 'everything' in a Game - if it's lacking in Mods, Big Boss Battles and Bazooka's? then that ain't a problem.
JustBanter I like boss fights tho-they're fun af-I think I might pick it up tho
For me, this is an instant buy... That game world mixed with the tension looks like a shit ton of fun even though it's short. Great review brother.
Great review. "Sound, music and voice" really shines in this one. Reminds me of Coraline in all the best ways.
agreed
In all honesty this guy is like a definition of a good youtube creator. I am so glad that this has turned out well. The concept seemed so great, so to hear that it was well-executed makes me so happy.
bought it on GOG already, since the game 'Inside' came for free with it (2 for 1!). So I effectively bought both when they were on sale.
I hope Inside hasn't been spoiled for you, the last segment of that game got the biggest "holy shit" out of me that I've ever experienced
good deal. Inside has been one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had, especially the ending. really nice game and just flatout impressive from an artist's standpoint. Have fun with it
Graeme Vaughey Inside is a straight up masterpiece
I was wondering if anyone would review this..Thanks! Just pre-ordered this, the fact that they worked on things like Little Big Planet and Tearaway is icing on the cake.
Pre ordered the game on the thirty first,
first game I ever preordered
Critical Ant it looks amazing, picking it up on the 27th.
Lucky punk
love this game... it's really good.. the only issues i ran into was occasionally falling off things i was walking across( beams, pipes etc) due to the camera.. and enemies sometimes being able to magnetically pull you into their hands even when your out of reach... still loved it though.. a great game

you bet manm

thank you Jack
Please keep doing these reviews man. I swear you have the best review format currently on the market!
you bet I will sir
great review!. I like the way you say "give it a thumbs up", it's like that peppers song: "give it away, give it away now"
Thank for making such detailed and thorough reviews. You really are the best game reviewer.
you bet Prime
As usual great review, i think the only physical available is only the collector's one. Hard to see that 35 to drop to 20 or less, so I'll wait for a digital sale.
Sounds like something fun an new, thank you for covering this in the in depth intelligent way you do everything. So very glad I subbed a few weeks ago.
This game looks awesome, love the art style & stealth/puzzle idea. Great review thanks man.
thanks prophis
Loved Limbo, Braid and Inside. Totally buying this. Nice to hear the pc version is so well optimized, great review !
Wish this game was more difficult, when puzzles are too easy they just become tasks.
same here
Dude, you're a machine. Putting out reviews like that every week is something to admire. Thanks, great work. Keep them coming!
As for me, I'm headed to patreon.
thanks sir
Man this looks amazing. Completed Limbo and Inside so this is right up my alley. Good review!
Thanks for all your reviews, very thorough and helpful in deciding on next purchases. Forever subbed.
The only big problem I have with this game is that there really isn't any replay value, other than going back to the levels to get the collectables. It's certainly one of those first time experiences that you don't get to feel again after beating the game once.
Just finished this game, fantastic title! If you liked Limbo & Inside you will enjoy this guaranteed.
Top review Karak as always 👍🏻
Man, I was hoping you'd say this is a definite buy.
soirry
ACG *sorrey

Swedish Chef was on the Muppet Show, not Sesame Street. :) But still love your reviews, Karak.
The aesthetic is absolutely lovely, like some tim burton/wes anderson fever dream. You've sold me.
Complete edition on sale digitally on the PS store 17.99, regular edition 9.99. Still 29.99 and 19.99 for regular version at Gamestop.
you earned my subscription and like! I like your unbiased honest opinion and your amazing description and summary
wow between this and inside, the steam summer sale is gonna leave me dead and vaguely depressed inside
I love the art style.. it's very unique for a game. How did Tim Burton not have anything to do with this? Great review as always..
Karak - just.... thanks man. Quality ooozes out of every review.
It's finally out?! I've been looking forward to this game for a while, the atmosphere and art style looks fantastic
I hate the fact that the Switch always sells the same game significantly more expensive despite the fact that it lacks the power of the pc, ps4, etc
Nice review! 6-8 hours is actually longer that I expected it to be, and for me, that's kind of the perfect length for a game like this. So I'll still be getting the Six Edition if even just for the atmosphere and art.
me to just not good enough throughout it
Aesthetically, this is a bloody masterpiece.
Been Waiting for this review 👍
While I'm buying this I will say that the price is a bit taller then some may want, so I can understand why you chose this as a "wait for sale".
I like quirky games like this and hope to see more been improved. Currently playing A Rose In The Twilight on the vita and I must say I do enjoy it. My only issue is the time attack challenge (optional)
I would like to see a side by side comparison of the the PC- and the Switch version.

reasonable conclusion you developed, hopefully it gets discounted soon or is available through ps plus, acg always watchin out for ma bank account 😎
20$ won't hurt you.
mogstersword monlimon you should support hard working developers that sre delivering quality games 20$ is not that much
I'm definitely waiting for a sale as well too.
I am getting the six edition it's 14 bucks more but comes with a 10" statue and a poster
you're Killing it with the reviews karak. keep up the good work. Thanks for turning me on to cosmic's channel too he does really good work.
thanks justin
how do you still reply to comments with such a big audience? you're a madman! :-P
I never sleep
From watching the video, this game looks like an abject lesson on why I've always found claymation creepy.
lol I agree
I've been waiting for this game since Gamescon 2016, preordered the Six Edition the moment it came out, I'm really glad it's good
First review I've watched here, and you do a great job. Subbed.
thanks man
Reminds me of Inside. If it's half as good, im in
It's the story about the little guy's gruesome journey to reach LittleBigPlanet
Very fair review! I'm in the BUY IT NOW camp, but I totally get your points in the rating. As always ACG, you do a great job.
thanks sir
Well this just jumped onto my "buy as soon as the steam sales happen" list thanks to this video. nicely done.
you bet
This and Ubisoft's "Unravel" both have me absolutely intrigued. I wish I could afford both
Always enjoy seeing you've uploaded a new vid. Keep up the good work man one of the most honest/hilarious reviewers out there.
I don't like pre-ordering games. BUT I knew this thing would get my money either way just based on the atmosphere and style of it... so I did it.
I can live with a short campaign. I barely have time to finish games anyway.
Looks like more care and love that has gone into this than most triple A games.
Wow, the lighting system on this is easily on par (if not, better) than the best games out there.
3:42. Damn that looks good.
I pretty much pre-orded the edition that includes the figure. Glad to see the game is good for an indie.
Do the controls work well with a mouse and keyboard?
6-8 hour time? You need to reeeeeeally take your time if you want the game to last more than 2.
The miniature look of the Game would fit perfect in VR. Hope someone is doing a Mod or something!
Thanks for the review. Very well done. I have been wondering for a quite a while how this game would turn out.
Good to see your review before the game actually comes out. I had this on my radar for a while now and was wondering how it would turn out. Although you say the game isn't difficult, that isn't a negative for me. In fact, I can now safely go out and buy this game when it comes out. As always, great review Karak!
enjoy sir
Nice review.
Thanks for the heads-up.
I literally watched 30 seconds and I already know I'm gonna buy this game. Thanks for the review that I won't watch until I've played it. :D
It looks good. Certainly fits into that genre nicely. If it's a bit on the easy side, well I can probably live with that. Might end up playing through it completely which sometimes hasn't happened with other games in the genre.
How do you not have more subs?
hoang le he has a lot 😂
Michael Lally key word, more. Compared to the other youtubers who have millions and are so damn annoying and don't deserve it. All I'm saying
Why does he need more? Everyone else in the world that's not subscribed suck.
I've seen plenty of decent reviewers with less than 10k subs. Video game reviewing has become an extremely competitive market now a days.
This comment thread reminds me of angry joe show, well nowadays is movie review/reaction videos angry joe show
"Thanksgiving at the Karaks" LOL well funny, keep on rockin ACG.
I will thanks
Hey man, love the videos. Sometimes I feel like they're excessively long. But thank you for this shit. You're like my go to guy. And I always love the 'ehhhhh, maybe subscribe.'.
wow. Like the first time in a LONG time someone has complained about their length. and thanks!
Dude you need more subs! I mostly use your reviews to see if I'm gonna get a game or not.
Wow. Comparing a platformer to a book was a fresh look at it. Good stuff!
I finished this in 3h and thats okay but i wish there was 2-3 more hours to explain the world abit more
I know you said 6-8 hours, but I'm reading some Steam users saying they took around 2-3 hours to complete it. Either way, it sounds like your recommendation is spot on as usual. Great review!
"I am not one of those bigger gaming website no 2 minute reviews here only details."
ign just released a review with a 2:53 runtime lol
Its so promising! WOW! I love these kind of games. The atmosphere, graphics and emotion that it delivers, is just on another level
For every game you review you should end the video with your favorite scene or scenario from the game.
While I love the art style, games like LIMBO & INSIDE really weren't for me in the gameplay department. I still respect what they did though.
wolfflow yeah this one is a nice style but boring as hell.
It' s a Puzzle with platformer element. Maybe you' re not really into puzzles? you might wanna play Crash bandicoot or Rayman.
So, this is a decent game, but it's not quite Inside? Still sounds very good to me. Inside was great, but shorter than 6-8 hours, so I might just get this game. Great review (as always).
thanks mansoor
The game looks very atmospheric and somewhat unique. How have I not heard of it?
have had this game pre-ordered for a while now, the boxed collector's edition.
Now that the final dlc is out I’m going to finally buy it and do a full play through.
