You don't need signs, you can FEEL when it's over. Listen to that feeling, it's always accurate. But in my experience, once a girl leaves you, she's gone. It doesn't matter how long you were together, how strong your connection was, if she tells you she needs time to figure things out and actually seems to mean it etc. The moment she leaves you, that's it, walk away. All sticking around will do is give you false hope that you'll be able to fix things.
Definitely a hard truth. my person broke up with me bc i was asking for them to spend time with me. Im like who breaks up with someone for that. I feel like they just moved on and it was hard to just break up with me when i have not done anything wrong. so when i started a conversation that they did not like, they took the opportunity to just end it. i guess they were just waiting for that moment. @nellies7767 im a dude and went through the same thing. I wasn't needy or anything but liked to spend the evenings with the one i loved. Looking back now, im pretty sure she had avoidant personality. It wasn't your fault! You deserve someone who will treat you amazing. I told my girl she was beautiful everyday, cooked for her, and even made her coffee before i left for work. I did this for 12 years. She broke up with me on a Monday morning as soon as I got to work by a text message. Crazy
I spent the first 2 months talking to coaches before I got a Psychologist. It took 2 different coaches to point out I was in a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship and cheated on/monkey branched in the end mixed with posting it 2 days after we split. I never seen the verbally, emotionally abusive behavior because it slowly happened mixed with her manipulation and gaslighting. The trauma from that is different than heartbreak and getting over someone. Abuse will always be identified with that person from then on and carries its own separate weight of memories from the trauma. I hope people realize or seek a psychologist to see if they were verbally and or emotionally abused and not confuse that with not getting over them as it has a big effect of a lot of thoughts and memories that could be mistaken as not getting over them or wanting them back.
I was emotionally abused too. Her parents did it to her, and she did it to me…It hurts so bad, because the breakup makes no sense and it was way more cruel than it needed to be.
I blocked my ex because I really didn't want to see him on his rebound journey of Psychological Displacement as he super imposed our relationship on his new one.

Wait, he got into a rebound relationship? How?? Most guys struggle to get any interest from girls period, let alone so soon after a breakup. (I'm hurting and lashing out, please don't take my comment seriously).
Strange. My ex never contacted me, but he contacted my family and friends. He went out of his way to drive to my local bar (30 minutes from his house) for a beer, rumor is he got engaged to someone 8 months after our 2 year relationship ended, he didnt return my things nor ask for his. He never set clear boundaries, talked avout getting a dog together 2 weeks before our breakup, when we did see each other post breakup (at the gym i introduced him to) he went out of his way to talk to me with a smile, absolutely no closure or final talk, he blocked and unblocked me he next day on social media, spoke to mutual friends but never about me. From my experience and what I've gathered from this video, my ex had his chance and when he comes back, that chance will have blown with the wind up into the atmosphere out of sight.

I wish I could have radio silence. She's cold and has changed quickly. We have a 4 month old son, she says she doesn't love me anymore even after saying she loved me the end in June.
@firstlastname84 questioned the same thing. Sure doesn't seem like it. She's cold as she's ever been and just over it. Won't answer anything besides our son like she's found someone else and doesn't care.
she took her things at my place on 3, 4 different occasions. Still has my book at her place (hard to forget that one because she took it like 2 weeks ago). She still has me and my family on FB, hasnt blocked me anywhere. She did removed IG tags on some picture of us (tags on my photos) and she left the old tags from older vacations (no, she didnt missed them, i dont have so many pics on IG) and on her highlight story album she removed all our photos except one. She is giving mixed feelings and i dont know what she is thinking. And there is one main reason (My strong opinion) i think why we are in this situation - her hormonal birth control has made her different, acting like a different person. We were 6 years together and since she started using pill (2 years of using it) she became distant.

After 15 years of living together with my partner, in Oct 2022, she monkey branched and dumped me for one of our farm workers. Thanks that she's no longer my obligation because my feelings for her are also starting to grow weaker that time. I left the farm and took care of myself with no contact with her anymore. But in the last days of August 2023 or after almost 10 months of living with that guy, karma reached her. The grass is not greener ... then she started contacting me. At first I was just being polite to answer her calls or mssges then one day she asked me to come to her place as his older brother died. She asked for my help which I obliged, on the same night we slept together and had good sex after 10 months being apart. After her brother's funeral she asked me for a reconciliation, I think over the pros and cons of having her again and tried to look back at the feeling of being cheated /betrayed. But the compassion and empathy within me being a Buddhist prevailed and after a compromise I took her and lived with her again. I had given her a chance and I hope she already learned her lesson. Presently, we are peaceful and happy together with our set limitations and boundaries. When I am alone I'm asking myself if I am really a low self-esteem and low self respect man just in trauma-bond with this woman. The whisper that I would hear is "let your Buddha-mind prevail." I hope this will be of help to those who are now in my perflexed situation in 2022.
Have a conversation and look for the reactions and actions, what and how they say or not say... But have a conversation, if you can, this way you are in control and you decided to be mature and at least talk it out so you know and not guess. Guessing is the worst option.
Maybe when she says "I'm being a good girl" when you know her previous relationships were always filled with her cheating. This statement may say to you that she won't cheat on her new boyfriend with you so don't ask.
These are also just things that ex's do. I think you're painting with really broad strokes here. For instance, yeah if your ex is an avoidant, they're going to avoid reaching out and avoid confrontation. I don't necessarily think it's beneficial to tell a bunch of people hurting on the internet that all of these normal breakup behaviors mean that their ex isn't ever coming back. Almost every ex does almost everything on this list.

My ex left over a year ago almost to the day he came back and said she left him she stayed with him for a little bit but she always she's always had someone else then he went on full-blown no contact he did start saying things like we should do this together and we should do that I was the one who said I don't know I'm not sure and I'll have to think about it and he's back to no contacts so I am working my way away from him so when he does come back I don't want him no more
Mine changed her number the day after she broke up with me. She went ghost on all social media. Was cold and mean when I tried to email. Six months went by I reached out and she said she wished we could be friends only but we can’t because it always turns to drama. This sucks because it’s her actions that I called out. I guess I should have over looked the red flags that I already didn’t. Why do I still want her after 7 months? She was my first love in jr. high school. She found me on Facebook in 2009. We commented for 14 years and finally moved in together and well it did t last long. She bi polar2 and it sucks because I miss her and want to work through things. I feel it’s another guy but she claims it’s not. What to do other than no contact and better myself? We live in different states so it’s not like I can see if it was another guy. If it wasn’t I want her back. This absolutely is the worst pain I’ve ever had to endure. Help!
The previous statement may also mean she is trying to bait you to test her into cheating with you so she can still feel the power of being desired and thus you are addicted to her. At that point you become an inferior male and she will probably move on without you since she feels she succeeded in baiting you. Don 't take the bait. Just say "that's wonderful, I hope this all works out well for you".
