8 IMPACTS Of Going RADIO SILENCE On Your EX (why it might be better for you than no contact)

  • Опубликовано: 5 июн 2024
  • Going radio silent on an ex after a breakup can have various psychological and emotional effects on your EX, depending on the dynamics of the relationship and the personalities involved.
    Here are some potential impacts:
2:26 FOR THIS TO WORK YOU MUST CUT ENERGETIC TIES
(WITHDRAW YOUR ENERGY BACK TO YOU)
6:14 1. Sense of Loss and Realization
When you cut off contact, your ex may start to miss the interaction and the emotional support you provided. This absence can lead to a heightened sense of loss and might make them realize the value of the relationship.
    9:28 2. Curiosity and Uncertainty
Silence often breeds curiosity. Your ex might wonder what you are doing, how you are coping, and whether you have moved on. This uncertainty can lead to them re-evaluating their decision to break up.
    9:10 3. Guilt and Regret
If your ex is the one who initiated the breakup, your silence can make them feel guilty or regretful.
They may start to reflect on whether they made the right decision, especially if they see you handling the situation with grace and independence.
10:38 4. Perceived Strength and Independence
Going radio silent can be seen as a sign of strength and independence. It demonstrates that you are capable of moving on and taking care of yourself without relying on the ex, which can be an attractive quality and might make them rethink their decision.
    10:40 5. Emotional Distress
For some, the lack of communication can cause significant emotional distress. If they were used to regular communication and suddenly it stops, it can be jarring and lead to feelings of loneliness or abandonment.
    13:00 6. Power Shift
Silence can shift the power dynamics in a relationship. Initially, the person who breaks up might feel in control, but when the other party goes silent, it can make the initiator feel powerless and out of the loop.
    15:42 7. Space for Healing
On a positive note, radio silence can give both parties the space needed to heal. It allows for self-reflection and personal growth without the constant reminder of the past relationship.
16:00 8. Possible Reconnection or Final Closure
In some cases, going silent might prompt your ex to reach out and attempt to reconnect, leading to a potential reconciliation. Alternatively, it can also solidify the breakup, providing both parties with the closure needed to move on.
    17:51 Conclusion
The effect of going radio silent on your ex can vary widely based on individual circumstances. It can lead to introspection, regret, and a possible reevaluation of the relationship. However, it can also provide the necessary space for both individuals to heal and move forward independently.

Question! I already did do radio silence on him for about one whole week and he reached out to me because I'm assuming he couldn't handle the fact that I was going silent on him. Should I respond or continue to stay in no contact for at least 6 weeks if I want to try to get him back? I have a very strong feeling that it may be possible to get himm back, that's why im asking.

I blocked him on social media and WhatsApp. Should I also block him on FB? We’re not friends and my profile is private, but I do post publicly sometimes. His sister in law and her father’s profile are coming up as friend suggestions which makes no sense since I never met them, the father lives in another country! He visits his brother and his wife pretty much every weekend so I assume he’s lurking when he goes there. This week he text me after 3 months. I replied the next day, not cold but not warm. He’s gone silent again. It’s foolery. I’m not reaching out to him ever.

@@itme7297 you don't give them anymore of your energy. You move w/o them. Bc if they are ignoring you, you are forced to move w/o them anyway. And if it is you(self) that is no longer interested in the connection, it is better to state that, rather than going radio silent. Silence hurts. Communication heals.

Very good advice. I have been steadfast in not contacting my ex but I'm still guilty of social media stalking. I don't even want her back so I don't know why I do it. It's just habit at this point, like checking facebook. I hate facebook, but I still check it once a day for some reason I can't figure out haha

lol. Same. I use an anonymous IG viewer. My ex now mainly only posts stories..when we dated he posted more actual posts that can’t be tracked, but I also never looked at his stuff ever. Last week he posted a pic saying sorry for the distance, he’s been barely existing. Then two days later text me apologizing for just now responding to me after 3 months but never addressing anything I said in my text. Smh. The fear avoidants have is debilitating. I refuse to engage in this childish nonsense. (Other than lurking lmao)
