What does it mean when the ex has the new woman call him a pet name that I gave him? I thought it was odd that she would agree to call him a name that I made up for him.

An ex of mine monkeybranched to a guy who weighed 400lb. She was terrified of being abandoned because her parents pretty much abandoned her after they divorced and met new partners. This caused her to try manipulate me in various ways + behave hyper possessive - to the point she was sneaking into my workplace and eavesdropping on my conversations. She started new job… a couple of weeks in she left me a Dear John, but tried to get back with me a month later, only I’d already did my homework and found out she left me for this morbidly obese coworker. She denied it until she was blue in the face - even saying the guy was fat, girly, ugly, etc, but she was with him and moved in with him. Getting with such an unsightly guy was the only way she could feel secure that she wouldn’t be abandoned because no one else wanted him, therefore she felt safe that she’d always have someone there for her. Fast forward 15 years… his mother is terminally ill, she monkey branches on him with another morbidly obese, effeminate man. This girl BTW was a stunner in her day, she looked like a prettier blue eyed version of Britney Spears, and could have had her pick, but she was so damaged she felt totally worthless, and felt a 400lb man, she found repulsive, was her only option. Anyhow, what this taught me… any woman who is extremely possessive has abandonment issues, meaning they cannot be alone (hence needing you there all the time). When you start challenging their possessive behaviour, they’ll start freaking out that you will abandon them, that’s when they’ll start looking for a more secure replacement, then they’ll monkey branch without a second thought. It’s all about escaping abandonment anxiety - not about you. The truth is, they never really cared about you.

Sounds like a female dismissive avoidant. Experienced this first hand and saw the personality switches. It was like I was tom cruise I'm the movie edge of tomorrow and she was Emily blunt. Every time I saw her in person it was like I had to start again as if it was day one week one. One of the strangest experiences of my life, until the relationship hit the peak after 3-4 months (she started to fall in love with me) and then she all of a sudden went back to her ex out of nowhere. Luckily I'm very experienced with avoidant women and knew it was going to come at some point. Ya man it's a crazy world out there hahaha.

I disagree. I and several of my friends took back our exes months or years after they left and got into another relationship. They saw the grass wasn't greener and fought to get us back and we all ended up marrying them 🤷‍♀️ During the separation we had dated other men as well. Sometimes people don't know what they've lost til it's gone. People grow through learning lessons. You don't know what you don't know and by closing doors and not working through issues together you could be depriving yourself of an even deeper connection than you would ever get with someone new

I have heard that a woman will check out from a relationship long back before the break up and then move to the new relationship with a person they know. My ex did this and is enjoying their relationship. Wont it work because she doesn't have any feelings for me? Especially with a co worker who is near her unlike me who was doing long distance for 7 years.

I am into 3 months of a 7 year long distance relationship where she is in a relationship with one of her co-workers and i am still in the same stupid stage as the day she dumped me and got to know she is with someone else.

Sadly I have to figure out what I’m paying karma for. This is the third man who has cheated. I can only think it’s karma to myself giving so many chances to people who didn’t deserve it. Other than I must’ve been quite cruel in a past life.

great content Paz ~ ✌🏽😎🇦🇺☀️🏄‍♂️💦 after the abrupt ending; I went straight into survivor mode. took my a** to the gym (which I do anyway); every single day and trained more intensely; hung with my mates and got busy with my hobbies. .. and then BANG … it hit me hard (some would label it post trauma). went through the rollercoaster of emotions; lack of sleep and all that stuff. 11 year relationship, so 18 months on; life is definitely getting better, but now and again, those feelings sneak up like an SAS soldier behind enemy lines 🤫. I haven’t moved on (no dating apps ~ I’m an analogue guy living in a digital world). Like Diamond Dave sang in ~ Big Train ~ ; “always another train pulling into that station; and I’ll be smiling again..” Such is Life.

Let me ask you Paz. First, amazing and helpful video. Second of all, I was with my ex for 3 years, everything was perfect and she blindsided me 5 months ago. Later on, I learned she’s with another guy (2 months after the breakup). A bit further, I learned that she was with that guy 1 month before she dumped me. She was lying to him and me on the same time. I went to get a closure from her, she told me all those lies that ‘you never know, in the future we might end up together’ and ‘I don’t want you to go’, etc… while she was with the other guy! Obviously she wanted to have me as a backup, because deep inside she know she’ll never find somebody who’s as loving to her and courageous in our adventure. Damn, we used to do so many activities together… Anyway. She’s been lying to him about me, and I learned that when we met for our closure, he stalked on her and saw us together, therefore, he knows he’s been lied to by her as well. However, they’re still together. I’m sure if it’s not toxic now, it will get toxic, because on their first argument the guy will be like ‘you’ve been lying to me from the beginning anyway’. I’m not saying, I’m in a very good stage of processing. I had very harsh moments, and I also so your documentary so I can relate, but I experienced far more pain and depression. Like, suicidical thoughts? Idk how I got over them. They were there for 2 months at least. I was crying every single day for 4 months. Now, I cry around 3 times per week. It still kills me that they’re together. Is there a chance they are going to stay together? I know I shouldn’t care, and trust me, I care much less than I used to, but it’s still unfair that I’ve been experiencing all these difficulties and she didn’t feel a single thing… she skipped all the pain. Her sister told me (when I found out) that she’s been trying to find me inside that guy. She’s been trying to get him involved in the activities we used to do, replace me in the family etc. Do you think there’s a chance for this to be healthy? He’s also a guy from her work, senior at her department. He’s 30, she’s 23, I’m 25. Not being selfish, he has a good life as far as I know, but he didn’t do half the shit I’ve done and neither experienced quarter of the difficulties I’ve been through. Idk it just messes me up

She went out with her coworker to a movie and they kissed but only remained " friends" which she keeps vomiting to me even in the last 2 page.email she wrote me. I put up with this from February until July, after 3 years together. Now i dont even answer her texts, email or anything. She kept trying throughout July and a bit in August. My answer , unlike it was always before: complete silence.

I rebounded off my four year toxic relationship, and of course it didn’t work out! lol, I made a lot “too perfect, too easy” oops, I got obsessed over his rejection and some weeks or a month later he got with someone else. But it was never meant to be

Heartbreak sucks , people deal with it differently, for me it’s a hole in the pit of my stomach especially if they moved on with someone else , can’t sleep , overthinking the past , blaming yourself. what you could of did differently,not eating, dreams of her ,jealousy, bitterness, loneliness the killer of them all , May God heal the broken hearted, remember time heals all but for love loss time moves slow , go out and cry get some sunshine, seek therapy, hit the gym , take vitamins and appreciate the things in life , it always can be worse go visit a children’s hospital and see the real much harder reality and you will start to realize you have another chance these poor kids some don’t and pray for them ❤

I like the fact you describe them as identity crisis and multiple personality disorder people they don't know who they are and can't control their behaviors. Everything is programed in their subconscious mind from childhood. Everything that triggers them and their unhealthy coping mechanism switch turns on. Whether is cheating, doing substance abuse or being workaholic. My ex was avoidant did all of those things to me including cheating and pretty much traumatized me.

this behavior all applies to dismissive and fearful avoidance attachment disorder.

The spiritual connection part is true- we were together over 20 years! Felt inseparable. After the affair and the horrible behavior and things she did to hurt us no matter how hard or what I did to try to save our marriage and fix it nothing worked. Once sleeping under same roof same bed and living together to strangers it’s so sad
