  • A couple of years ago Veolia took over from Wheelie Waste for the contract in Mount Alexander, deploying a fleet of Volvo/Bucher GenV units. I was somewhat unsure of what I’d find out here when I made my way to Castlemaine on a Monday morning, I had a rough idea of some Volvos but I wasn’t sure if there were any spares or such, unfortunately this is all I found on the occasion so this is all you’ll see on here from me for now

Awesome one mate, very reminiscent of our collections down here, down to new 80L Mastecs. This truck must be of similar age to the Volvo Buchers here, love that truck, reminds me a lot of Veolia's here, the engines numatics sound very similar compared to some of the newer Volvos. Cool to see Veolia follows the 5 digit numbering scheme including the first number correlating to the first digit of the states postcodes here. Cheers.

Nifty video we have here man. I’ve always been intrigued and curious onto what Veolia runs up in the northern parts of Victoria. It’s definitely an area they are quite dominant in. Everything about this truck works quite nicely. The smaller body truck on the 240L recycling bins makes a really nice combo. Can’t forget the signage obviously, looks mint. If you wouldn’t mind could you rattle of the councils Veolia services up that way?

Cheers mate, yeah wasn’t a bad rig, definitely goes alright, signage is alright, wouldn’t have minded to catch the garbage as well. Off the top of my head they serve Swan Hill, Shepparton, Pyrenees, Loddon and of course Mount Alexander, I might be missing one but that would be most of them.

Good to see some footage of this council. Really love the rural shots. I don't mind this truck to be honest. Nice video man

Wow this is a really cool looking truck. Haven't seen many Volvos. I wonder if they clean that truck every night from all that dust and dirt that builds up?
    Keep up the great work!

Wouldn’t surprise me, would definitely need fairly regular cleaning, cheers
