That thing is gorgeous, great video! In over 20 years of being around these cars, not sure i have seen an 80 so nice, i have a friend who has an 81 pace car and 79 in mint shape- Mark
I hope she understands by not using the AC it will cause the system to have blockage. Coolant flow is important through the H-Block as well as the Receiver Drier the Compressor and the Condenser as well as the Evaporator coil. Regular usage is essential to longevity in every AC system.
This is a beautiful Trans Am Trans Am Indy Pace car. The dealer in Monroeville Pennsylvania that this car was sold new is #1Cochran Pontiac GMC now called #1Cochran Automotive that is still in business today.
Great looking car I had one shipped over to the UK from Florida I sold it but 20 year ago but iv managed to track it down and fingers crossed I'm buying it back in a few weeks
@@CarsShopsAndCollections I will keep you updated for sure when I the pace car was in my garage I managed to purchase on e at an original T shirt that was worn by the salesman in the showroom well saleswoman she also sent me a number of sales brochures and the original poster of the pace car that was in the showroom Thanks Steve
I had a few of these cars. I'm watching and it all comes right back 3.08 gears 1500 rpm at 40 mph 3000 rpm around 75 mph. The 85mph speedo is to create "the illusion of speed" because the needle is further to the right than the 100 mph speedo of 79
These cars were beautiful, but unfortunately the turbo lights were the only way you could tell that you "hit it". They claimed 210 hp on these, but a 1977-1979 T/A 6.6 would smoke these things.
Heck yeah, this was my first car & wish I hadnt sold it after 6yrs of ownership. Seriously can owning a lambo today, compare to owning this car in its day? lol Pretty close but , nah1980 Pace car T/A for the win
I have one 19000 miles Have had it for 42 years
19,000 miles! Incredible!!!
OMG !!! This was my first car after high school in 1985. I loved the stiched bird in the rear seat and doors that matched the hood. Unreal.❤
So cool! So many little details like the stitcher seats that I love!
I had the poster of this car when I was a kid and it was always my favorite! Truck is awesome too!
This was one of my favorites this past year to film… Robin knows her stuff as well!

@@stephenward3624did you get it?
I drove these brand new at a Pontiac dealership. So slow a J 2000 was almost as fast. The only fun one for me to drive is the t/a 6.6 4speed ws6
What a cool memory! I fan of how they look and rich in history!
I remember these, they did this a few times when I was younger
Such a fun episode!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections I was amazed that it was still all original! I love the matching truck as well

Pontiac did their best but Buick won the Turbo race but they tried and that's what counts this trans am is a testament to more than 1 race
Yeah - It just looks cool riding down the streets of Las Vegas! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful car love it the truck is also so cool
I have the same pace car low mileage
Yeah… I thought the truck was a cool added touch! Thanks for watching!
I have one of those in my garage for sale right now! Indy 500 pace car and all!

Thanks for the info!!!!
Way to represent Robin
Robin is the best!
My former BIL had one. Nowhere near this nice though.

Sweet! I'm thinking that RECARO seats were an option??
No, standard feature only in the oace 81
Are you going to be at the Boulder City Jamboree next month?
Yes!
She kinda reminds me of Napoleon dynamites grandma.
I didn't know Salt Bae does car reviews
Hi I have one 1980 pace car

Hey, I know that car
It's now one of my favorites!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections Great video btw, very well done
Thats not rare.. In fact the vast majority of surviving1980 Turbo TAs are the pace edition.
Ok, but how is it not rare?
