    Man, it’s just becoming more evident that the less we eat as adults the healthier we will become.

    • @archockencanto1645
      @archockencanto1645 2 года назад +11

      It's natural. 20000 years ago there's no way on earth you would get to eat at will. You would actually have to go hunt or gather food, nearly every day or every other day. It's natural to eat once a day or once every two days. And not only is it natural anything else is unnatural. In fact, it's heathier* to eat once in 4-5 days than eating 3 times a day. Try it.
      *Healthier as in you will feel better. Not that your body will perform at its best, that is around 8-20 hours after eating from what I've found.
      Also, ideally you'd have a decent body fat%, at least 20%. That's why fat's there, to get you through periods where you don't get to eat. Also, another condition would be that you'd have to be somewhat used to this. For the first 5-10 times, it's going to suck big time, especially if you've eaten 3+ meals/day your whole life.

It has helped me so much, increases energy, controls weight better, makes me feel better and has been a beneficial practice overall. You helped to put it into focus for me by advising to do it at least 20 hours and now giving a time frame of 4 hours for eating. The fasting has helped me in numerous ways inwardly and outwardly healthwise.

If you're eating once a day your body does all its miraculous things, the key is to "work up" to your goal. If you've been eating 3 meals a day for years, don't change things up too fast. Start off with a 12-12, to 16-8, to 20-4, etc. Most people just stick to 16-8 for years though.

Some people need about 2 weeks to adjust but after your body is fat adapted, inflammation goes down, energy goes way up, fat loss, higher mental clarity etc. I've done carnivore for 30 days, 60 days. Increase your Growth Hormone (main *anti-aging* hormone) by doing I.F.
    Intense exercise increases GH by 450%

      It does increase 2000%, but isn't that because GH also helps with energy metabolism? It is well established that exercise induced GH doesn't cause anabolism any more than what you would expect from intense exercise.

    I agree with this to a point (I love fasting & occasionally do 24-40 hour fasts).. buuut most of the fasting science now seems to say it's not great to do the same thing every day (playing with your eating window apparently keeps the body guessing!)!
    Also, the pros are now saying that, especially as we age, we need more protein.. and that's hard to achieve in a very small eating window!
    Fasting makes ya feel awesome though.. so much energy n more mentally alert!!

    I finished my first 33 hour fast last week; the last 8 hours where rough, probably due to mineral deficiency. I ordered your multivitamins for 50+, received them the next day and feel amazing. It makes so much sense. The body is a machine and needs to be rested from digestion for repairs! I was also carnivore and went keto and stopped cheating, took all sugar out of my diet. No more sweet coffee and gluten free toast. I’m learning to like black coffee 😂

      People always say they went keto/carnivore and cut out all crap and feel great. So was it the meat or cut your all the crap. Plenty feel great on a vegan, healthy fat cut all crap diet too., it is believed that eating a little all day spikes insulin over and over and can lead to becoming insulin resistant which is one way and the body needs time to rest and repair in between eating. The other way we become insulin resistant is from any bottled oil. Stop all the oil. Our ancestors didn't go around drinking pure oil. Dr fuhrman discusses the alternative to keto/carnivore. Some eat for their blood type and others for their compassion. Keto didnt wirk long term for me. But cutting out all processed food was a side benefit. I eas still insulin resistant despite losing the weight. And fuhrman discusses the oil from a bottle is too pure, fatty live and organs. It clogs. Salt is already in our food and plenty of it. It is corrosive to the vessels and can cause hemorogic stroke.

    A friend of mine, an amateur bodybuilder, said one time "I only eat chocolate or any other form of candy at sunday, and just a small ammount". Now, I learnt that too much sugar inhibits GH hormone. He was right, when I ate candy, chocolate and so on, the other day my body is completely weird -- I am those kind of people who suffer to gain and mantain weight.. Now I know who is the villain: too much sugar and my own decisions.

    Totally agree with him. My parents introduced all their children to fasting since we were little. My longest fasting is 22-24 hrs to help mother cells (stem cells) to regenerate. My last fasting was 40 days from May to June 2024. I recommend adding amino acids, creatine, and good quality vitamins + exercise to prevent muscle loss, the no fasting hrs try to add sardines to the diet to help produce collagen. Sardines are precursors of collagen, drink room to warm temperature water for a better liver detox, and optional function, don't forget to break fasting with a healthy, conscious whole food meal, much love to all 🩷

      Keto makes this pretty easy. Fats like oil, butter, creams and cheese can get you there pretty fast. I'm on one meal a day IF and an example of my dinner is usually 1lb of steak cooked in 1 tbsp of avocado oil, 2 to 3 servings of cheese, 3 eggs made with 1 tbsp of butter, 2 to 3 servings of sour cream, salsa, then I will drink a protein shake 2 scoops for dessert made with either almond milk or no sugar whole milk yogurt plus 2 tbsp of peanut/almond butter. It is tough to get down the first 2 weeks but after that it's pretty easy.
