1:54 The "in-floor bathtub" would probably be a lot safer if it were just a couple inches higher. Just enough that if you're like me and don't always bother with turning on the lights, you are less likely to suddenly fall over as you try to stand at the sink and realize that your foot is just a bit too far out.
It's generally considered a lot safer when wet to do down than up the main issue with going up, is that you need the higher elevation foot to support your whole weight, in an even level bathroom/tub your body acts as a balance, but to step up in this case, your foot needing to be at a higher elevation basically means your body is at an angle when you lift your foot from the lower elevation in the bathtub, so the lower is pushing off, and the higher foot is basically needing to control your entire weight and push the rest of your body up, the slip and fall potential is MUCH higher

These tubs really are great, multifunctional options for disabled & able-bodied alike.
My best guess for the USB thing is that it is a specialized cable meant for charging some sort of 2S lithium battery pack. One lithium cell is 3.7-3.8V and two of them in series is around 7.2-7.4V. Using a micro USB end for the connector is the worst thing they could've done though, if you're making a nonstandard custom cable for a specific task put a nonstandard end on it so people don't accidentally use it for other things.
That bathtub reminds me of my friend's church where their baptism tub is built into the floor so it can be covered and walked on in daily life. My friends baptism was amazing because like 10 minutes after my mum almost fell in, someone else fully fell in and had to go home 😂 Also I'd totally fall in that river that looks like a road. It was well over 5 foot deep so I was completely submerged until an adult grabbed me and pulled me out. There were several hours left of that walk and I was completely soaked. Still didn't learn my lesson to listen to adults with "authority".

About the 7.4V USB cable: USB is standardized to always be 5V, but that cable converts from 5V on one end to 7.4V on the other end. It'll work for the device it came with, but if you try to power any other device with that cable, it might be fried, and if there's a battery in there it could even catch fire or explode, since it expects 5V and not 7.4V. And BTW, USB C can do more than 5V (for example my charger can output anywhere from 3.3V to 20V, and my phone charges at 15V), but that's done by negotiating with the charger about what both devices support and then picking the best option. But that's only in USB C, and before the negotiation is complete there should always be 5V.
If any electrical device says "Made in China", expect it to be highly questionable, lacking safety measures and fail at an alarming rate. But it's definitely cheap!

15:01 my take on the 7.4 volt usb cable: usb cables and devices need to be built in a way where if you try plug in any usb cable into any usb socket either nothing will break or the cable will not fit into the socket, which will stop you from breaking it. the 7.4 v volt usb cable breaks this rule by being able to fit into regular usb devices while delivering enough voltage to break any normal usb device. usb devices are always expecting approximately 5 volts (+/- 0.25 volts)
15:03 Educating about the 7.4V USB cable: USB has a standard of 5V. Any USB device should be made to take or give exactly 5V. This 7.4V charger is basically begging to break anything it's plugged in. The only exception to the 5V rule is fast-charging, but those first establish a software connection to basically ask the device "Hey, can you handle Fast Charging 2.0? Yes? That's amazing, I literally work in a building next to the pond at 3:19. They've added more signs now, but honestly it just looks like a field of grass (it's green now, I guess because of summer).
15:04 Issue is the voltage should be 5V, same as the input. Micro-USB devices should normally be at USB power, this one seems to have a step-down voltage regulator for a specific device. It will work with its intended device fine... the problem is when you plug in something else and overvolt the sucker.
15:10 The standard voltage for USB power is 5V, though you’ll sometimes see it as low as 3.3V. Too much voltage makes too much current go through the same resistance (ie any electronic device), which is how you make hot dogs /jk. I don’t know how this is producing 7.4 V, though, because the input end is clearly still a USB plug, so 5V is going in. I suppose there are ways it could be stepping it up on purpose? But why?! That would actually make this extra bad, since it’s not just them re-using a micro USB connector with a non-USB voltage, but rather they’re actually doing extra to make what could’ve been an ordinary USB cable into something dangerous.
12:37 don't worry, you're not the only one did that academic "super bowl" thing my school participated in during like my 6th grade year, and we went to a different school that was hosting it I really had to go to the bathroom, saw that one was marked "men's" and assume the other open doorway was the entrance to the women's. it was not. who tf designs TWO entrances for a public bathroom?! this has not been the norm for such a long time! I did feel embarrassed, but I mostly just felt bad, because the bathroom did have a few occupants when I accidentally walked in, and that likely they might have, in turn, felt embarrassed, vulnerable, etc etc.
13:30 Honestly we've had pushbutton transmissions for a long time. Chrysler started offering theirs in 1956, Edsel put the buttons in the center of the steering wheel for 58. The Cord sort of had something similar in the 30's. Though they went away pretty fast as the electric motor that actually moved the shifter on the transmission was unreliable as hell. Now that transmissions are all computerized it's just the same old nonsense. The real nasty one is the audi shifter that's just a knob switch on the console that has a motor to raise it out of the console. If that motor goes you can't hit the switch and have to take apart the interior to get to it. Progress!
@@Moonlite_Kitsunethe editor's stairs are fine since it only curves one way (so you can just go along the outer edge and be fine), but the other stairs are an s bend, so you have to switch sides in the middle of going up/down
@@lunlunnnnnalso the other stairs are harder to see and are more steep, so if your tired or drunk your more likely to miss the turn or a step and fall

I'm pretty sure those armrest stairs literally have a label saying "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" on EVERY step. if I saw that ANYWHERE in real life I would move to a far-away country
2:21 i appreciate Editor Kenny actually photographed the stairs xD but the Editor's stairs are actually better, because if you fall, that 90° corner pretty much stops your fall, but the stairs on the right are not only quite steep, but also squiggly (?) it's likely to make people disoriented and fall quickly to the floor without anything to catch them mid-fall :"D

2:58 Reminds me of penny ropes in Victorian era days. What’s a penny rope? Well it’s a rope suspended between (I believe) two posts where customers can hang their weight against it and sleep for the night. (Or some similar set-up with negative comfort.) In the morning the person you’d pay would cut/release the rope to force everyone to leave on time.
The main thing that bugs me about that bath is that all the dirt on the bathroom floor is going to end up in the bathtub. A lip of some kind would go a long way to stop it.
1:49 all I can say is think about how dirty your socks/indoor footwear are. Now imagine having to bathe in whatever falls off your feet, or having to rinse out the tub anytime you want to use it.
I want to see Phantom of the Opera in NYC a few years back. The theatre where it was being performed, had a balcony with seating was way too close to the ledge. It was like if you got up the wrong way you’ll fall over the balcony. 😅
Somehow garbage disposals in sinks seem like one of the least thought out ideas ever. Like, "lets take this perfectly safe kitchen fixture/appliance and add an element of danger to it. Will something bad happen? Who cares, people have 10 fingers, they could stand to lose a few"
10:05 Invisibility?! They couldn't be more visible. Unless it's night, in which case you probably won't be able to see them at all. Yeah, they really did not think that through. Most USB cables are 5V 0.5-0.9A. 7V isn't that bad. The amperage is what kills people, and the cable output is .8A. I think that's just a boosted cable. It basically trades the amperage for voltage.
It shouldn't be a thing since they used a standard micro USB plug, and so it's easy to accidentally plug it into a device that expects 5V. Or if you lose the cable, you have no way of charging it anymore. They should've instead used USB C with PD, or had the boost converter on the device instead of the cable.
@@lunlunnnnnThat'd mean engineering the booster into the device, where a usb version would be far cheaper. At the end of the day, it all comes down to cost. And if someone blows out a device by plugging it into the wrong thing? well, we clearly marked the cable, its on the user not us.
13:00 my best guess for that is that it was a special order option meant yo provide accessability to a driver with a disability. thats the only reason i can think of for something like that. Sometimes things that would be less convenient for most users can be more convenient or the only option for users with certain disabilities. for example having to take a lift to get to a 3.5 ft stage would be far less convenient then going up the like 4 stairs for a perso who can walk. but for a person in a wheelchair its the only safe way up there without building a gradual ramp that there often is not room for.

14:00 imagine water in the bathtub as well💀
The bathtub in the floor is actually a intriguing idea
1:29 yep. sounds about right. hull is one hell of a town. we have all sorts of random design fails.
10:30 same design philosophy as the ghost zone portal in danny phantom
12:37 don't worry, you're not the only one
did that academic "super bowl" thing my school participated in during like my 6th grade year, and we went to a different school that was hosting it
I really had to go to the bathroom, saw that one was marked "men's" and assume the other open doorway was the entrance to the women's. it was not. who tf designs TWO entrances for a public bathroom?! this has not been the norm for such a long time!
Progress!
The funniest part is him accidentally almost pronouncing Oaxaca correctly lmao
15:22 basically all usb runs on 5v 7.5v would fry your device.
They know what they're doing. The physical light switch gonna cost extra 😂
Me: kinda peckish rn, i could do with a snack.
Jack: dw bro i gotchu
I _LOVED_ the falling down the stairs impression!! Nice job!
2:22 Oh no! Someones trying to murder Editor Kenny for the insurance money 😮
Seriously whats the issue with those stairs?
@@Moonlite_Kitsunein my head old home I have staircase like that. 4/10 times I fell
11:55 i'm 16 but i wanna ride this slide, cause of nostalgia of course
2:22 yeah I think with houses that don’t have a lot of space they use these types of stairs. I live somewhere where the houses are really small, and you find these stairs everywhere.
I'm pretty sure those armrest stairs literally have a label saying "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" on EVERY step. if I saw that ANYWHERE in real life I would move to a far-away country
2:21 i appreciate Editor Kenny actually photographed the stairs xD
but the Editor's stairs are actually better, because if you fall, that 90° corner pretty much stops your fall, but the stairs on the right are not only quite steep, but also squiggly (?) it's likely to make people disoriented and fall quickly to the floor without anything to catch them mid-fall :"D
4:33 MEET THE SNIPER
1:29 the bathtub is such a nice coffin if you slipped and fell to the bathtub
Anti-slip mats.
Finally Jack said what is on his mind. IHE really wants to give golden showers to his enemies and for once I would really like to be Jack's enemy.
Also I liked Jack becoming Disurbed in Down With The Sickness while trying to speak Spanish.
STOP YOU WANT TO BE HIS ENEMY?? 😭🙏
When he talked about DND, I immediately thought of my bard bowyer character.
kenny says that the stairs aren't that bad, but they don't say how many times they have hurt themselves on their own staircase

Reminds me of penny ropes in Victorian era days.
If you're referring to the one from 1:49 ... it does have a lip. It's only about an inch, but it's definitely there.
1:49 all I can say is think about how dirty your socks/indoor footwear are. Now imagine having to bathe in whatever falls off your feet, or having to rinse out the tub anytime you want to use it.
Uh.... I have that exact same staircase from 09:40..... should I be concerned?
Yes.
I want to see Phantom of the Opera in NYC a few years back. The theatre where it was being performed, had a balcony with seating was way too close to the ledge. It was like if you got up the wrong way you’ll fall over the balcony. 😅
That 7.4v usb will give your phone the whole range of coke addiction in a few minutes
Never stop making D&D references
Somehow garbage disposals in sinks seem like one of the least thought out ideas ever. Like, "lets take this perfectly safe kitchen fixture/appliance and add an element of danger to it. Will something bad happen? Who cares, people have 10 fingers, they could stand to lose a few"
that bath tub is gonna break my neck the first time I come home drunk I just know it
10:05 Invisibility?!
15:25 Nothing wrong with that, so long as you remember what that cable came with. They tend to be for drones, or lipo battery packs.
It shouldn't be a thing since they used a standard micro USB plug, and so it's easy to accidentally plug it into a device that expects 5V. Or if you lose the cable, you have no way of charging it anymore. They should've instead used USB C with PD, or had the boost converter on the device instead of the cable.
It's the connector. Boost converter to standard USB.
@@lunlunnnnn we've no way to know when this was taken, it may be pre USB-C
@@Graytail that's why I also mentioned that they could've put the boost converter on the device instead
@@lunlunnnnnThat'd mean engineering the booster into the device, where a usb version would be far cheaper. At the end of the day, it all comes down to cost. And if someone blows out a device by plugging it into the wrong thing? well, we clearly marked the cable, its on the user not us.
4:43 BRO IVE LIVED IN THAT HOUSE
No, the bottom isn’t a kitchen, It’s an office/living space
The hint is to LOOK DOWN
Bro for real😂
5:16 so long as A. you are not grounded + B. you are not completing any circuits towards your upper torso, you'll survive
2:22 it's also harder to see the edges of the darker stairs than kenny's lighter stairs
9:00 the carpet is actually what we prayer on. It works like a prayer mat
The image at 6:02 is bad enough, but holy FRICK you went there.
The devil fears curved exterior bathtubs.
11:51 "what is the story here?" well you see there's at least 3 stories so the story here is the 4th story
That thumbnail slide sure looks fun
1:49 honestly, I wouldn’t be mad if I had that bathtub.
My back always hurts when I’m bathing my dogs and I feel like this would help
