Mixing 1910 and 1920 together to make a 1915 is absolutely better than either one separately. Did that yesterday and it was easily one of the best blends I've ever had.
Love Rare Breed, so good. I do like 1920 but recently was at an event where we got to taste all 4 OF whiskey row bottlings and 1910 really impressed me.
OF 1910 is my favorite. I was lucky enough to find an OF SB Barrel Proof, which I have not tried yet. Would be unreal to find a bottle of OF Series 117 Series.
Also, I am consistently impressed with the depth and nuances of flavor in Rare Breed. Neat, on the rocks or a few drops of water, it is always awesome... 🥃
I've got both of those. Like them equally for their own reasons. Can't go wrong with either of them. 1920, has the banana note, but I didn't get the green banana. Also it was a bit dry. But the sweetness was well balanced with the proof. I didn't get the synthetic sweetness, or fingernail polish notes at all.
Love the Rare Breed, so many people on RUclips like the 1920, not spending $60 on 1920. Found the 1920 for $47, bought it, I like it, a lot. Rare Breed and 1920 are so different, but really good.
Thanks Philip! We had a lot of fun with this one and it's one of our favorites as well... at least until next week's video releases. It rivals this one, we think. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Rare Breed is always a solid go to. It is rich, flavorful, delicious and never fails to impress. 1920, especially since the new label came out, has been consistently going down in quality, most likely due to higher demand and less aging time. For the good price and high quality, it's Rare Breed all day every day.
I agree with your feelings on these two. I much prefer Rare Breed to OF 1920, especially for the cost and availability. If I'm going to buy an OF product I much prefer 1897 BIB or the Signature 100 proof.
I realize this is a year old, love the innocence in this video, so pur, and spot on, the reason you two have grown is obvious. Love the channel. And, I love both of these depending on my mood and the day thank you so much.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels that way about 1920. Some customer I met at a liquor store told me it was the best shelf pour out there, so I bought it the same day I bought my first Rare Breed and I didn’t really like the 1920 much at all. I went out and bought 2 more Rare Breeds since they were scarce for a while.
I was disappointed by 1920, but didn't ever actually dislike it. It tastes like... bourbon. I started to almost like it after the halfway point of the bottle, with a glencairn glass and some chewing, but Jesus, I don't get the hype. Does it drink below its proof? Definitely. Is it amazing? I don't think so. Rare Breed is just lovely, on the other hand (to my pallate). Hell, I find 1792 more enjoyable at half the price of 1920. 🤷♂️
I always have rare breed and 1920 in my house. Both so good. I will say that Russell’s single barrell reserve is currently some of the best tasting juice they have produced for awhile. Thanks for the video.
Oddly enough, it's the first time we've gotten that note on Rare Breed, but we enjoyed it quite a bit. We need to revisit non-blind and see if we can identify it again.
Awesome! I just bought both of these, rare breed yesterday and 1920 today!!! This is awesome, I'm hitting that bell!!! Ps. I also grabbed a henry McKenna 10 year BiB and a smoke wagon uncut
Great video and I agree with you totally. I purchased 1920 about a year ago and had maybe 3 pours. I purchased Rare for the first time about a week ago. I am sitting on my deck with a cigar and my 3rd pour. I collect more than I drink, so I have a decent size collection. I be picking up another Rare and the Rye this week.
Great episode. I prefer Rarebreed but I like 1920 a lot. Or did. I noticed there was something "different" with the last bottle of 1920 that I had. It wasn't even a new style bottle either...it just didn't hit me like it used to years ago. Maybe my palate has evolved or changed.
We considered palate evolution as our first bottle a few years back wasn't like this. The last few have been rough though. Batches can definitely vary.
You both are right there with the majority of whiskey tube, in not liking the new label as much as the old label. I was lucky to find the old label at a local here by me, and will continue to buy it as I see it.
Rare Breed gets this one for me every time I try it blind. And I definitely get the banana on OF 1920 BUT I’ve always gotten southern sweet tea which Erin completely nailed. She’s the only other person I’ve heard say that about OF. And 1910 has it even stronger which is why I use less 1910 in your JD+WDO+OF 1910 blend. I love sweet tea but not in my banana creme brûlée pancakes:)
Late to the party here, but I just tried the New 1920, and I agree, it's not my wheelhouse. "Synthetic" is spot on. I wish I had watched this video before I picked it up.
Oddly enough, in blinds, Rare Breed keeps on beating all but the very best of Russell's picks for us as well. It might just be one of those rare bottles that hits our palate *just* right. Most people do tend to enjoy Russell's more though and the picks are sure fun to taste through and compare.
Another great comparison. I've not tried 1920 so I'll respect your analysis and will not purchase it! However, I do like 1910 and have a couple stashed. Rare Breed is OUTSTANDING, but also not a daily drinker for me and I suspect most due to price, but I do have several stashed for special occasions :)! I'm sipping Jefferson Reserve Very Old Small bath tonight and it's quite good as well, but may be a bit overpriced. My two daily drinkers are Wild Turkey 101 and Evan Williams BIB as neither of them can be beat for flavor at their price and availability! Purchase the good stuff as you can afford it and enjoy on special occasions especially with good friends. I suggest you Zero in on your preferred lower priced daily drinker and ENJOY LIFE daily in Moderation and splurge with the good stuff with your good friends! Cheers!
1920 was hard for me to find, I actually drove to Kentucky from Tennessee to get it. I didn't like it, in fact to finish the bottle I 50/50 it with 1910 to get some enjoyment out of it. I love that you two are picking up these nose and pallets that these bourbons are known for. I am rooting for you both in the Matt Madness. Cheers!
Another excellent comparison. I’m still waiting to get a Rare Breed. I have the Rare Breed Rye, but the regular Rare Breed is…….wait for it…..RARE here
I usually agree with you both. I love rare breed and OF1920 and I almost always have them on hand. Though if I was out of both and could only by one it would be rare breed.
Both of these can be harder to find in L.A. - Rare Breed even more so. 1920 is usually ~$60 and can be found at Costco a few times a year for ~$45 - Rare Breed Rye for ~$45-50. On the other hand, Rare Breed bourbon is usually mid-$50s and stocks disappear fast and have yet to see it discounted.
@@stuffandwhiskey Good sleuthing. I read bottles had been in short supply throughout the alcohol beverage industry due to COVID. France is supposed to be a major supplier of glass. Things have been recently looking more normal there and elsewhere - for now - so we can only hope. Thanks again.
Bought and tried 1910(too oak forward for me...still trying to find the so called sweetness everybody is talking about)love Wild Turkey 101 and am looking forward to trying Rare Breed.😀
We've found 1910 to open up with some time, and the sweetness to be in the vein of maple syrup and brown sugar, but that being said there is definitely a camp that doesn't love 1910. It seems to be a divisive profile.
I've had all the Old Forester dated series 1870, 1897, 1910 and 1920 at this point. I like the 1870 because it is very drinkable neat. 1910 is great but a little darker in flavor profile and a little more heat than 1870. 1897 and 1920 require ice for me to enjoy, but I would give the nod to the 1897. A plus for the 1870 is that I am able to purchase it at $39.99. Rare Breed is a favorite - I really get a heavy butterscotch note from this one.
Based on how many whiskeytubers love 1920, I figured I had just bought bad bottle. There must be some bottle to bottle variance even among batched products, right? However, these tasting notes are exactly what I got of mine - sour banana, weird plastic-y dryness, nail polish remover smell. I'm glad to hear some other people had the same experience with it.
In this instance I didn't need the cheater reveal of what you were tasting. You guy nailed the Rare Breed palate exactly! These two are my two favorite daily drinkers.
The taste is soooo dependent on what you've had to eat / drink before. The best time to taste unbiased is in the morning (on a weekend) before you've had anything else. LOVE Rare Breed!
You're trying to get us smashed early, John! 😂 We do always test and try to make sure our palates aren't "off" before filming to ensure the videos we're filming are helpful, and there's a lot of foods we won't eat on filming days so as to not compromise our palates. Great point about a fresh palate though, John. Cheers and thanks for watching!
In all fairness one is 116.8 proof and the other is 115 proof and it's also $15 (here in NY) cheaper than the other and for the sake of argument equally as good taste wise! why shouldn't it be the winner? They are both top shelf bourbons, but the Rare Breed is just cheaper to keep in the liquor cabinet! great review and 🥃Cheers! A year later and the WTRB is still $11 cheaper but this time it makes the WTRB the same price as the OF1910 and I would prefer the OF 1910 over the WTRB.
I really like both, that being said having them together something causes 1920 to taste funky next to rare breed. And i agree that 1910 is a better tasting pour than 1920. Yall keep up the great work.
Another great review. I love Rare Breed and the last bottle I got last week was $37.61, which is a steal. OF 1920 was one I bought quite a while back and it just never impressed me.
I absolutely agree with your guys's scoring on this match! The price and availability of these 2 bottles is great. RB at 116 proof at 50 is a fantastic deal and the only reason I don't have a few backup bottles is because I can find it easily. OF 1920 at 115 proof at 60 is well worth it and a great deal, but I'm not always in the mood for it. So RB wins. 👏🥃
I think maybe part of the issue for 1920 is that it faces rare breed which is so good. Taste it against something else and I’m sure you’d like it a bit better.
I love your videos but please check out some of the special Irish whiskeys. I grew up on bourbon and rye but now love quality Irish. "Rare Breed is for everyone" was the truest statement ever uttered... good work Erin.
There no losers in this match up...2 of my available/affordable favorites that l always buy when l see them on the shelf. Rare Breed is Rare Breed bottle to bottle it's consistently and amazingly good. OF 1920 is good/great too but it changes from pour to pour even sip to sip...that's not a bad thing. Love them both.
Great video once again you two. You have great chemistry together and have great presentation. I have subscribed and have to try a couple of new whiskeys now. I just tried OF 1920 and like it a lot and seeing how both of you like the Rare Breed better I will have to look for that at the liquor store next time I am there.
In the theme of the "only need 5 ..." Rare Breed is my Friday Night Pour or even Special Occasion pour. Where I'm at I don't see the need to spend more.
Great matchup of two widely available hitters. When I first got it, I didn't love the 1920 but I've since been totally converted to a huge fan. Maybe my bottle just opened up really nicely? Love me some Rare Breed too. Just started my own channel recently and really enjoy your content! Cheers!
My bottle also needed time to open up. I still don't understand the hype, although I won't fight it. I hope the hype distracts the chasers from other solid picks. 😋
That pause to remove the nostalgia was awesome! I feel the same about 1920; we have a bottle but when it's done, I'll replace it with another OF instead (so many different ones) and 1910 is always on our shelf. Curious, if the channel is STUFF and Whiskey, what is the STUFF? :) Cheers!
Great question Ron! We've got an "Other Stuff" segment on all our Tuesday videos over at ruclips.net/p/PL_Vp1g_G7SMZDhsezH94VgU2mS1R6FuH6 but more broadly, it's everything from actual stuff to the wonderful people who make up this community of spirits-lovers. The whiskey is always secondary to the friends we make and the conversations we have along the way. Cheers!
Rare Breed is my go to good bourbon. Not really that into WT101 so my mixer/utility bourbons are usually EW 1783 or Old Granddad Bonded. As much as I would like to offer the entire EH Taylor collection to guests I don't have $59,000 to spend on bourbon.
1910 is the bourbon that hooked me into collecting. It's drastically better than 1920. Then recently on your RB proclamation gave it a shot. Never thought i would publicly admit it, now I'm on WT junkie. Added Russell's 10 and SB into the mix. Saw RB for $46 at Cool Springs and had to grub multiple just to make it one of my daily nows.
My findings have been the same....not a fan of 1920 at all....smells and tastes like nail polish remover. Rare breed kicks the crap out of 1920 IMO. 1910 is absolute heaven though!
Is it just me or does Rare Breed get better, the closer it is to body temp? I compared 2 glasses I poured at the same time, one I let sit out at about 20-21 Celsius, and the other I held in my hand, turning the glass every few minutes for about 10 minutes or so, tried them both and the warmer one was sweeter, more caramel came out where as the cooler one was more peppery, more cinnamon and a touch of cherry came out. I totally like it warmer
I’ve had 2 1920 bottles now and this has been my experience as well. I won’t buy another, I’d definitely prefer rare breed every time I’ve had them together. I think OF 1910 is a good offering and would purchase another in future but I’m done with 1920.
We hear ya, John. Rare Breed is often $45 here and 1920 is often $65. That's a wide margin when comparing quality as well. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Interesting.. I loved 1920 when I tried it in the liquor store... not as much at home... not sure the difference, maybe it was an older bottle? But I do still like it... I got a good deal so it works. I do also really like 1910 too. I tried 1910 and 1920 at different times so I've never had them head to head. That said Rare Breed is still my go-to and as mentioned before I like it even better when it has warmed in my hand.... I didn't get that as much on 1920, but I still really like both of them but here, Rare Breed is in the $50-$65 range but 1920 is going way up and is in the $65-$100 range (That's Canadian money so you do the math) I will have to try 1910 again... the only Old Forester I didn't care for is the plain old 86 as it literally had next to no nose, but the taste wasn't too bad... not as good as WT 81 but close so I may use it as a mixer some time. That said I've not had a WT or OF that I would not drink again... I honestly wouldn't buy Maker's mark (regular and 46) nor would I buy Buffalo Trace again.. they are too expensive for mediocre pours and for some reason the last handfulls of times I've had Maker's mark (both regular and 46) I've gotten caustic chemical burns in my mouth..... it's so weird, I've tried many other brands at much higher proof points but none make my mouth sore like Maker's Mark when I have more than a small single shot of it... not sure what it is.
🥃 All pallettes are different, however, I view OF 1920 as "OK". 1910 is better to me. As far as Rare Breed,.. it is definitely my "desert island" bourbon.... Cheers 🥃
I've been sipping OF 1920 lately, my first bottle. I've been quite impressed, $53 locally and every revisit still loving. On the other hand, haven't had Rare breed in almost 10 years ago. Is it better now than in the past? I never bought RB a second time.
Rare Breed has changed a few times and gone through different proof points. We just happen to be big fans of the current 116.8 proof iteration. It's just the right amount of fruity, sweet, and spicy even compared to the older Rare Breed batches. That said, it's definitely a different animal than 1920.
Oddly we're not the only ones that have gotten a weird nail polish remover note on some of the newer bottlings of 1920. It's quite strange and never was there in older bottlings. We've been out of our bottle for a bit now and find ourselves wanting to give it another chance as we liked the older bottlings so much.
I cashed my old bottle of 1920 and wish I could have compared to the new label. I've heard mixed reviews with the new one. Do you have any repeat bottles in your blinds? Just curious if ratings changed when paired with different bourbons. 👍
We always try to enter a bottle into 2-3 matchups and then we do a weighted average to the scores from that bottle on the spreadsheet we maintain over on Patreon. We feel like that gives the best impression of a bottle over time. That said, we film in 3s (three head-to-heads in an evening) and this bottle of Rare Breed popped up in this week's episode against 1920 and also popped up in our very next filming an hour later against the travel-exclusive non chill filtered Rare Breed. We typically don't think there's a lot of influence as we spend a lot of time clearing our palates between the pours, BUT our results on next Thursday's video may say otherwise.😉
Been drinking WT 101 and I'm not digging it. I have a bottle of Rare Breed that I haven't opened yet. I'm hoping that it'll be a different experience. I've liked all the Bourbon Trace products, including Benchmark Bonded, Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, and Blanton's. I've also been enjoying Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and OF 1910, so maybe I just enjoy a little more sweetness. But then again, I like Cooper's Craft Barrel Select, which I don't find to be particularly sweet.
These blinds are ruthless at times. We have heard quite a bit of commentary about how a lot of people don't love the newer bottlings of 1920 nearly as much as the older bottlings though, and our experience in blinds tracks with that as well. That said, we've since finished that bottle of 1920, and the last few pours were quite enjoyable... enough so that it has us considering purchasing another (even though we said we wouldn't since the last two were pretty big disappointments).
I’ve never had a Wild Turkey product! Takes me about 5-6 months to finish a bottle. A real noob. That said, in 2 vids you mentioned a preference for the older label Rare Breed. Is that one still available? Thanks much for another terrific learning experience.
So, have you explored if the OF1920 has changed a lot (for the worse) since 2019? Have read many comments (all over whiskey net) of people experiencing exactly that.
We’re 100%!*’ agreement based on the last two bottles we’ve had in recent years compared to how much we used to like it. It’s been a while since we’ve tried it though so we’re probably due to revisit it to see if it’s gotten any better recently. Not holding out much hope given how lackluster our last two bottles were.
@@stuffandwhiskey Can only get the 9 in the UK. Have you got any suggestions for more oak forward bourbon. I have tried wild turkey 101, makers 46 and Elijah Craig. cheers Andrew
"I can't imagine why these are paired against each other."...then he knew. The classic anti-FOMO throwdown, and I am with y'all. I even tried a second bottle of 1920, after the label change that caused all of the talk, and not for me (love me some 1910, though [1910>ECTB>WRDO], and I just tried the OF 100 Proof after all of the Fred Top 10 talk...it's fine for the price). Also, not first pour of the taping night, right?
Second, plus Rare Breed just makes us happy. And we agree, 1910 is really the crown jewel of the Old Fo lineup in our book. We just got a bottle of ECTB so we'll see how it stacks up blind but upon initial tasting we still think 1910 is the best of those comparable products.
Hey - I’ve been trying to find the video where you talked about your decanter blend for about 3 months lol. What’s the recipe again? I remember it’s JD SB BP, one of the old forester products (1920 or 1910), and something else. Thanks in advance!
Josh, I have been hunting and bunkering Old Label OF 1897 and 1920 as the new Label product simply isn't as good. I won't be buying new Label of either expression again.
If we manage to run across an old label 1920 then we can make it happen. It would be fun to compare and contrast them in a triangle blind format (two pours of one, one pour from the other).
We didn’t mix them up but just goes to show you how you can get different notes and experiences when you don’t know what you’re drinking. You go in thinking cherry on OF and spice on WT and that’s what you’ll get, but if you don’t know, both glasses get a much more fair shake.
Mixing 1910 and 1920 together to make a 1915 is absolutely better than either one separately. Did that yesterday and it was easily one of the best blends I've ever had.
I'm gonna try this 🥃
I tried the same thing with Rare Breed & 101... results were quiet good and a bit less burn, it seemed to bring out the sweetness a bit more too
Is that a 1:1 mix?
@@sethlarson9433 yep.
@@ManOnFire071781 1920 comes in a bit hot for me, so maybe the blend is the way to go.
This is like comparing The Beatles to the Rolling Stones. I'll take both.
The new Rare Breed label is a nice improvement.
Agreed!

Oddly enough, it's the first time we've gotten that note on Rare Breed, but we enjoyed it quite a bit. We need to revisit non-blind and see if we can identify it again.
Not a problem buying either of these. Always a backup in my cabinet of both.

We hear glass shortage is the culprit of Rare Breed's wonky stock issues. If that can get ironed out, hopefully there will be plenty for us all.
I did not like 1910 at first, but I went back to it again and again and I like it more and more. Weird
I am in the same place….don’t love 1920, really enjoy 1910. Right answer! 🤣
Great minds, Bill. Great minds.😉 Cheers!
Glad we're not the only ones!
Me too. Was so excites to buy it. Had a pour and was super disappointed. Let it open up for four months, still dont like it at all.
Similar experience. Unless there was a bad batch, maybe we just have a blue/gold dress situation on our hands here, folks.
Loved this video. One of your best. Loved how the 1920 brought memories to Erin. You guys are great.
Thanks Samer! It was definitely a fun one. Glad you enjoyed and we appreciate you watching!
Both are excellent but Rare Breed is my jam. Wild Turkey is my favorite profile.
Same here, Roscoe.Turkey is hard to beat!
Fun video. Erin is totes adorbs.
I really like both, that being said having them together something causes 1920 to taste funky next to rare breed. And i agree that 1910 is a better tasting pour than 1920. Yall keep up the great work.
Thanks OMR! And that's an interesting note. The contrast between the two definitely highlights things in 1920 as was seen in this video.
Another great review. I love Rare Breed and the last bottle I got last week was $37.61, which is a steal. OF 1920 was one I bought quite a while back and it just never impressed me.
At $37 each, we'd be buying a whole case of Rare Breed. That's a fantastic price!
The whiskey enthusiast community is certainly lucky to have both on the market. Cheers and thanks for watching Nick!
Great video once again you two. You have great chemistry together and have great presentation. I have subscribed and have to try a couple of new whiskeys now. I just tried OF 1920 and like it a lot and seeing how both of you like the Rare Breed better I will have to look for that at the liquor store next time I am there.
We appreciate the kind words! Thanks so much for tuning in Glock!
In the theme of the "only need 5 ..." Rare Breed is my Friday Night Pour or even Special Occasion pour. Where I'm at I don't see the need to spend more.
We're very close to the same, Bill. It's extremely hard for us to justify spending much more when Rare Breed is fantastic for $50.
Haven’t had 1920 in a while. RB is Killer. Need to revisit some OF
You both have amazing smiles soooooo please smile more it always helps a video
Great matchup of two widely available hitters. When I first got it, I didn't love the 1920 but I've since been totally converted to a huge fan. Maybe my bottle just opened up really nicely? Love me some Rare Breed too. Just started my own channel recently and really enjoy your content! Cheers!
That's awesome! And we definitely think we're in the minority on 1920. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Cheers!
@@stuffandwhiskey I knew that but I forgot! Lol! After I posted that I started thinking About segments on watches and razors and… 🤦🏻♂️
Rare Breed is my go to good bourbon.
Wild Turkey has something special going on for sure, at least for our palates. Glad you're enjoying it too!
You're not alone in preferring 1910! 1920 has always tasted tannic and hot to me.
Warming it up a bit in your hand is for sure a huge help in getting more flavors to jump out.
Rare breed in my opinion is superior in flavor to OF but hey to each his own
I love both of those. OF 1920 may be my favorite bourbon.
I’ve had 2 1920 bottles now and this has been my experience as well. I won’t buy another, I’d definitely prefer rare breed every time I’ve had them together. I think OF 1910 is a good offering and would purchase another in future but I’m done with 1920.
Interesting that we’re not the only ones with this experience. Thanks for watching and commenting Ben!
Rare breed is a favorite pour here. Was kind of let down with 1920 for the price, just didn't do it for me.
Now I gotta try Rare Breed. Currently sipping 1920, not my favorite either.
🥃 All pallettes are different, however, I view OF 1920 as "OK".
1910 is better to me. As far as Rare Breed,.. it is definitely my
"desert island" bourbon....
Cheers 🥃
"Dessert island bourbon." Now there's an episode idea. We may just have to do that one, Bill!
I'm a big fan of Old Forester 1920. I feel like lately it's been my Friday whiskey lol Nice one to come home to after a long week
We know it's a crowd favorite and we see why people love it so much. We are really glad it's available for a great price and in great supply!
@@stuffandwhiskey lol I cracked up when I saw your guys reaction to it. I was surprised
Rare breed is becoming a lot harder to find here in the Chicagoland area. When I do find it, limit 1. Bunker it!!!
Limit 1? Really!? That's a travesty! Let the people have their Turkey, we say!
Enjoyed the vid, y'all can hoard the WTRB and leave the OF1920 for the restuvus! Cheers!
100% agreed on OF 1910 > OF 1920
Love rare breed rye. If you don’t like 1920 I don’t know if I could trust you. Both great offerings
I’m still trying to find some Rare Breed here in NE Florida. One day…
From what we hear, if the world can ever return to normal and these glass shortage issues get taken care of, we'll all be swimming in Rare Breed.
Just found Rare Breed in NE Florida. We are about to see what all the excitement is about!
Vid starts at 2:28
Thanks for watching!
Best video yet keep up the great work
I like them both. If I was told either one is all you had to drink I wouldn’t feel bad.
Rare Breed is becoming increasing rare, according to my local liquor store owner, they are experiencing a bottle shortage.
That's what we're hearing too and we hope it gets dealt with sooner rather than later. We need our Rare Breed!
Agree OF 1920 has a weird flavor and nose compared to some of other years released.
Never seen OF 1920 judged so harshly. It’s so good
These blinds are ruthless at times.
1920 has more hot than character.
I’ve never had a Wild Turkey product! Takes me about 5-6 months to finish a bottle. A real noob. That said, in 2 vids you mentioned a preference for the older label Rare Breed. Is that one still available? Thanks much for another terrific learning experience.
It’s highly likely that you can find it out there with minimal hunting. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Try blending Rare Breed and Rare Breed Rye 50/50!! 😉🥃🤤
Can't get 1920 in the UK. Rare breed available so this is fantastic whiskey full stop.
Might just be our undisputed value champ. Rivaled only by exceptional Knob Creek 120 proof single barrels.
@@stuffandwhiskey Can only get the 9 in the UK. Have you got any suggestions for more oak forward bourbon. I have tried wild turkey 101, makers 46 and Elijah Craig. cheers Andrew
Two of my favorites
Woodford Double Oak, 1910 and JDSBBP in equal parts. We’ve gotten so much good feedback on it and are so glad to hear folks are digging it too!
@@stuffandwhiskey thank you!!
Josh, I have been hunting and bunkering Old Label OF 1897 and 1920 as the new Label product simply isn't as good. I won't be buying new Label of either expression again.
We're on the lookout for all the old label 1897 we run across as well. We REALLY enjoy that pour!
you guys are so funny! good luck with those marital problems. lol
Great useful video!
Thanks for watching Roy!
Both killer bottles but very different
Wildly different to be sure. The market is lucky to have both mostly available and for reasonable prices.
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎😎😎😎
Is there a difference between old label 1920 and new label?
Some say there is. We've not compared them directly but we've had the same reaction to every bottle we've bought. Great question!
Can you guys do an Old label 1920 vs New label 1920 head to head?
If we manage to run across an old label 1920 then we can make it happen. It would be fun to compare and contrast them in a triangle blind format (two pours of one, one pour from the other).
@@stuffandwhiskey I can provide the old label bottle, new unopened.
SoBro spirits in Nashville has old label 1897
I like them both
You should wear merch in every vid.
Probably. We’re definitely not salespeople. 😂
I think you mixed these up. OF is normally a cherry bomb and WT spicy
We didn’t mix them up but just goes to show you how you can get different notes and experiences when you don’t know what you’re drinking. You go in thinking cherry on OF and spice on WT and that’s what you’ll get, but if you don’t know, both glasses get a much more fair shake.
The best way to destroy Rare Breed is to mix it with anything other than ice.
Rare breed for 52 bucks vs old forester for 69 bucks Rare breed wins Drop the mic
