Clinton enjoy your time with your dad cause when their gone all you have left is memories, I used to work with my dad and he passed in 2005 I sure miss him………
Mine passed in 2023. Miss doing things together also.
My dad passed in 2000, a lot of years have passed and I am now older. The loss never goes away I still miss him especially when doing mechanical things. Watching this video really brings up those memories of doing rebuilds on my motorcycle engines and a few car engines that we did together.
Great job, Clint!!
What a joy it must be to work on some projects with your dad!
This reminds me of when my daddy & I built these engines. Good times 👍🏻
Depends if they get along!
Great! To see your Dad. Judging by how Clint turned out I think Mr C senior is a really good dad . People like the Clinton family are what this nation.needs
Dads are the best!
I could just sit here and watch this stuff forever. I watch your show a lot. Great show.😮😮😮
Don’t know why you’re not over 100000 subscribers all your video’s are entertaining and informative keep up the good work
Maybe one day
You do quality work Clint and you turn out good products for the customers don't ever change that's what should be done and Kevin is right there with you 👍
Really enjoyed watching you work with your old man. I can see why, in turn, you work so well with your own sons. No problems with the audio here in North Wales.
Thanks
Not sure why other people are having problem
Bubba's
I wish every mechanic was as thorough and careful as you. Would have saved us a lot of money over the years.
This shit belongs to him, that’s the difference and the only difference lol
That is what it takes to make a quality engine overhaul project.
That is one beefy flywheel. Good to see you working with your Dad!! 👍😎
I was an aviation mech, for the Navy and we did not touch a project without the book in hand. It is forbidden to work from memory. The community as a whole revives so many safety changes throughout the years, what you remember from the last evolution of what you are working on is probably not the same, and the level of accountability involved is absolutely unnerving at times. With prison time absolutely possible if something fails and you did not follow the publication with the most up-to-date changes, the only thing that is more unnerving than not using the correct publication is being responsible for the publications and keeping the changes current todate. This was my secondary responsibility. So to see you referring to the publication/book is refreshing and shows an extremely high leave of profecializem. Props!
If I didn’t like it, I would have left about an hour and four minutes ago. Thanks Kevin for coming in and adding a little fun to the video. Those 2 OLD MEN was putting me to sleep. I love the atmosphere and the way all your people (2) work together. If I was 50-55 years younger, or just young enough to work, I would love to work for you. Yes we love what y’all do in the videos or we wouldn’t be watching. Stay safe
Thanks
Thanks Clint! Enjoyed watching you and your Dad working together, please keep the videos coming!
Watched this a couple of days ago. Great seeing you and your Dad working together to start with, then seeing you bring in the 'muscle' to finish the day out. Keep up the good work, fellas!
Thanks
Great video Clinton! You work so well with Kevin and your Dad and just get the jobs done! Thanks.
Happy to see your Dad working with you! Spent a lot of time with mine Still miss him Nice job fellas
Never seen a shop that clean in my life. Shiny floors what's next tools clean and orderly. This must be a dream
Very much enjoy these "how to" builds with your dad, son & Kevin!
Thanks
You are so blessed to be able to work side by side with your dad. Mine has gone to heaven.
My kids would not come anywhere near if I was working on engines, but they did love to drive and use heavy equipment.
Watching you work with your dad was cool. I appreciate the generational nature of your work. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
people don't understand how much this equipment costs & the years of experience is involved. GOD bless you.
Yep
I had a very bad experience with one of those with the double counter balancers. John Deere even was involved with it.
Good thing we have our dad to help once in awhile. Good luck
one of the coolest things I see in these, is that your doing this stuff with your dad and kids.
Clint I'm just seeing this episode today 6-1=23 But I've watched you for a while now!! I've learned and marveled your channel for some time now ! But seeing you work with your dad is PRICELESS !! Thank You ! My dad passed away 3-27-23 Soak up ALL you can !
Very informative video and it was good to see your your dad helping you out and seeing Kevin come in and help out too 👍😎🇺🇸NY
There's something soothing about watching a master at his craft. Doesn't matter what it is, and you're definitely the master of yours.
Thanks
Glad you are bringing it back to life, it seems to be a solid machine! With equipment prices this is still a valuable machine. Your findings on the cavitation sparked my memory with some low hour state forest fire suppression John Deere 750 dozers that I did in chassis overhauls because of this issue. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
Yes he’s not getting Rich off of this. On the other hand I’m sure it helps with Business. Relationship with dirt perfect just a tremendous learning tool for people.
This stuff is addictive. Every time I watch, I learn something, sweet!!!
And this is the reason if I was looking for a place to buy used equipment this would be the place! Great video guys. Thanks for sharing, Clint.
Can’t wait to hear you fire it up.
You dix an excellent job. There are a lot of companies out there that would hire you. I wish i had a dad who would have built something even half as good as this for me when i was young. This will not only serve your children but your grand kids as well. Well done sir.
Amen finally somebody thinks how I do start in the center an work your way out
Thanks for letting me come along and learn, enjoyed the video ❤️
Glad you enjoyed!
Your lucky to be working with your dad. Treasure every moment.
Good to see the big boss man..
Wow…. It’s so awesome to watch you working with your father. Two very fortunate people…. Including your son working with you both.
You. your dad, and Kevin were all fun to watch during the rebuild process. Someones sure gonna get a nice 80's JD455E.
What a wealth of knowledge and experience between Clinton & Dad putting that engine together. Well done.
Thanks
Great job Clint sorry you have to finish and baby sit lol 😆 can't wait to hear it purr
Really enjoy the detail you provide about the removal/rebuild/repair of projects in your shop. I've done this type of repair for over 45 years and watching your videos brings back many fond memories of a lot of great machines, great owners and co-workers. Keep up the good work, C and C rocks! On a side note, cherish the time you spend working with your dad, someday your memories will be all you have.
Thanks
Glad to see you working with your dad, Would like to see more of the two of you working together.
Super deep!! ,,Full Steam Ahead! Cheers!! :-)!! Enjoyed! 2 beers in!
Awesome seeing a Dad and son working together!
What I ADMIRE ABOUT YOU IS THAT YOU ARE NOT JUST THE OWNER BUT YOU ARE APART OF THE MECHANICAL CREW AND YOU WANT EVERY THING TO BE PERFECT. YOU DON'T CUT CORNERS!!!!.like I have said before I would purchase equipment from you ANY TIME..GREAT JOB.
Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to show us how to build this engine. I have done these before but it's nothing I did in a long time. I usually deal with Gas or small diesel. Love this vid!!! keep up the good work
Thanks
Well done Clint and Kevin. Really enjoyed this rebuild. Bravo from Victoria Australia
Thanks for watching
You guys really made me laugh, when you were applying the never seize. The one thing I learned early on, was that never seize "grows". No matter how hard you try, it ends up everywhere! Usually where you don't want it. Loved the video. Never saw a rebuild like you did on this engine. From removal through tear down to reassembly. Looking forward to the next video.
It does!
Thanks
My 10 year old enjoyed seeing the motor being put back together
Good
What a great show! It takes me back!... thank you! I wish I could win the tool give a way. Live on...
Holy smokes!! Your hard-work tree's gonna bear good fruit. She'll be a strong runner.
Love your work . Been heavy equipment neck for 20 + years its great how you great your guys . I'm in Alberta Canada and get treated like a dog . Nice to see some bosses have respect cheers
Love seeing your Dad keep up the great work. As always good luck and God Bless.
Nice work! That makes a person smile Made in USA instead of... You know what I mean! Great job dad and son.
Yep for sure
Thanks
Thank you very much, I enjoyed that engine build greatly, clear and informative, I could watch that all week if I had the time, again thank you, Gerald Ingram, New Zealand.
Thanks
And thanks for watching
Engine looking great
Brand new engine again
Brilliant watching this rebuild. Back 50 years ago most of us rebuilt our own car engines , fitted new clutches , set up timing with a strobe light and could never get that dam spline to align with the engine inside 30 shoves and pushes!!!
Watching you guys do the complete rebuild brings back all those great days. Whoever gets this loader is going to get the bees knees. Fantastic work guys.
Thanks
Fishing weights for Channel Cat! 😀😃🙂
This completely so awesome to see this process and your dad working with you.
Good job putting that engine back together
Thanks Clint, an hour of good memories.
I miss working on the simple engines. It's nice seeing your dad helping. Those extra two hands make it sure easier at times. i had to laugh about the anti seize. It seems like I get the jug out and use very little of it and five minutes later I have it in my armpits. 😂
Always lol
Hey just found this series of video,s sorry ,I really am enjoying them ,I love it when you rebuild heavy equipment ,thanks Clinton

Glad you like them!
Years ago I worked for a small earthmoving contractor who bought a used JD 455 track loader. He spent THOUSANDS keeping that thing going.
Meanwhile, we needed a skid loader, a bigger excavator, and another dozer. Learned from that experience. Me and track loaders don't get along.
Great video, enjoy watching the engine rebuild process.
Just proves a point that c&c is a true family business that covers all the generation of the family with all the knowledge and skills that come with it 👌 👍 absolutely brilliant keep them coming great to watch.
Thanks
people complain about how much you charge to do the repair but they need to watch the video to see how much is involved to realise & understand that they don't have the ability to do a repair of this nature. you guys are awesome & your abilities are unparalied. keep up the good work. I would love to join your team as a minor person/cleaning & learning would be good enough for me-I don't need to step up to a higher level.
Hi, your Dad brought a smile to my face, it was when he put his foot out and under the piston while you were holding the piston on the side of the bench, while he was knocking out the piston pins!! :-) That is what I use to do when I was working as a "MOTOR" Mechanic Many years ago. Great is seeing you and your Dad working together! 👍😊
Thanks
another thing I apperciate is how dirty your hands are. I have watch videos from other sites & these guys hands are clean & your's are quite dirty/brings back memories of my days of turning a wrench & boy where my hands dirty-you are very cool & shows how hard you work.
love it
Enjoy the videos 1 of my favorite shows
Thanks
I am not mechanically inclined and respect those that are and I have often wondered how that was done. Thanks for showing me. Truly enjoyed the video.
Wish I could work with my dad again include your dad in everything you do brother spend all the time you can with him cause belive me that empty chair cuts to the bone an crushes your heart everytime you think about it god I miss my dad so bad
Loving Kevins off the head flippant torque settings. 160 ft/lb for 7/16” bolt lolol
Enjoy the channel, going back thru the library.
Pleasure to see calm and controlled professionals at work, great job.
A lot of peace of mind for the potential new owner when he can just watch the RUclips video to see the work was actually done and done well ! I run an outboard engine shop. I think I may start doing this.
Yes
It will help for sure
Thanks Sir & C&C Equipment staff & Team, USA. I realy enjoy your RUclips channel a lot! I dont no2 why? Thinks your Team work and humor togheter!? Best Regards CEO Falun Machine Service Peter Eriksson, Dalarna Sweden Europe 😮😅😊!
I was glad to see your dad in on this process!
Great to see Dad helping out anxious to hear her kick off
Man that was a great video. Love you and your Dad interacting and Kevin, as always is a riot. Keep doing oddball things, even if you go broke!!!
❤️❤️. GOOD STUFF
This was riveting, I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time.👍👍
Good
I've become addicted to your channel. Your variety of knowledge and explanation is amazing. Maybe you could talk about how you got into this business and discuss how you leaned all your skills. Is Gold Peak a sponsor? They should be :)
Thanks maybe one day
So so impressed with how throw you are with your rebuilds/ repairs shows how you take your reputation very seriously with pride and quality! Love your videos! Thank You!!
Thanks
Totally agree.👍
you answered my question just as i was wondering what the counter balance shafts were, i didnt know what they were. right on time.thanks!
You bet!
I appreciate all the effort you all have to go through to make the videos like you all do. Thank You
Great seeing you work with your dad! Very interesting watching the tear down and rebuild of the engine.
Thanks
enjoyed watching the rebuild of the motor
Well it's nice to see that you guys actually take the time to do it right even though you just needed a water pump it's nice to see that you guys take care of the old equipment as well as the new equipment that's why I like watching you guys in dirt perfect
It's been extremely informative to watch you work on your projects, your verbal delivery is matter of fact, which is refreshing, back in 1968 I had the chance to work in my school holidays at JJ Motors here in Gore NZ my uncle was a diesel mechanic,it was very interesting work and I liked the smell of diesel ,now the only problem was it being winter and we would be called out to the farms to service Massey Ferguson tractor's etc, freezing temperatures and I hate snow and ice ,so unfortunately my diesel days came to an end and I opted for an apprenticeship in Refrigeration, still out doors but inside for the most of the time, looking forward to more of your videos ,thanks again.
Clint, for me this is one of your best videos, great listening to you and the team. Awesome team work.
Thank You
Dave
Thanks
I saw you need help with a deer I'm here for moral support always been handy with a get out of jail free card
Im 69 on the farm and lucky that my son is a diesel tech at JD in dubuque
X SHOP
WE JUST FINISHED THE front axel on an 1980 8640.
My son of course does all the precision work im qualified to prep
Clean and stay out of the way.
Thats the way i prefer it
Like keeping the old stuff running
Thats a plus today
Learn while i watch you do a great job of explaining whats ok and whats worn out
Thanks
Forgot to mention that I'm very impressed by your shop. I've been around & your shop is very impresscive as a lot of small shops i've seen are pig stigs. Well done!!!!!
Awesome, thank you!
whe C&C rebuild an engine they leave no stone undone another great example of how professional job, well done Clint nd Kevin
Thanks
Surprised that you didn’t remove new pistons from new sleeves to verify stagger of ring gaps and ensure no broken rings. Relying on factory assembly is fine but if problems surface after engine assembly a few minutes now might be good insurance.
True
Nice work with with Dad!!!
The moment you said you were going to rebuild the water pump, I wondered how that was going to go! If you don't break the housing and the impeller survives and fan hub comes off in one piece, only then you might be able to rebuild it. Water pumps always seem to resist repair. Great video on the rebuild!
Love your videos 2 things u used built in my home town 1 Dutton lainsen hand oiler and plastigauge
What an awesome follow up video.. takes me back to when i did my city & guilds... the "white metal" bearings lol.. the "double click" to be sure on the torque wrench.. and the 4 inch thick manual!!! all that's missing from here is the white gloves for the finish up!!! Thanks for sharing as always Clint and nice to see your Dad helping out also.. "Keeping it in the family"
Somewhere on an earlier youtube video, someone posted that if you click more than once with a torque wrench you will over-torque your item, I don't know where they came up with that idea, but I always double click when torquing.
Father son great job lot of parts, hope the start goes well.
This has been an excellent video series, really enjoyed it
Thanks
Am I the only one that sees Bobby from King of the Hill every time Kevin is in one of Clint’s videos?? 🤔😂
Great video! No problems with the audio from my seat! Can’t wait for more!
Lol
That’s funny I’ll have to tell him
