Thank you, i'm glad that my video helps, the process is a bit messy but it will be worht it in the end, you just have to have patience and don't give up.
Use to build speaker enclosures the same way 25 years ago made some awsome footwell pods door pods rear boot builds ...messey stinky itchy thank god dont do mess around now 😂
I drive a lancer and I can't ever find lips for the bumper sides that come down. Looking to put lips under just them and leave the middle how it is. Thanks for the inspiration.
Appreciate the inspiration, I'm building a custom side louvers with my 3d printer they jus don't make em for my vehicle and I wantd to fiberglass them for durability the process uve shown has give me that extra pep I need to feel comfortable continuing if all works out I'm make rear window louvers and that will be epic I'd be the only 2017 ford.... with em 🤣🤣🤣
Question: by chance, do you the first part of the project recorded? Great work! I been doing things like this since the 80s to my (& friends) rides. The final results are so satisfying. Especially when people ask, who done the work? The look on their face when they found out I did was hilarious.
Wow that's awesome, i don't have the first part of the project, Unfortunately i deleted some videos because i made many mistakes and also i didn't want to make the video too long
Needs some side skirts and that diffuser (assuming you also made that) needs to extend out to the whole side of the car so it lowers that rear another inch or two so the whole car is leveled out 😎
Work os great, but I think lip is to wide it missmatch line of the car. If you made side lips to match wideness Its OK! However U really did a awesome job!
Enjoyed the video. I've been watching videos on making lip's, spoilers etc. Problem is I don't know how to start and what exactly Is I would need. Would you mind helping me out with a list of things that would help getting started? And where I could probably get fiberglass cloth?
Yeah sure, you can buy fiberglass on amazon or ebay, so this is what you need, ( fiberglass chopped strand mat cloth, fiberglass resin, Bondo body filler, chip paint brush, sandpapers, gloves and 3m paint respirator ) now if you wanna make a front bumper lip side skirts or anything, just watch a lot of different videos to get an idea of how you can start your project, that's my advice
Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat Cloth, Fiberglass Resin and Hardener, WHITE GELCOAT NO WAX with Hardener, PARTALL FILM #10 (PVA) Mold Release Agent, MOLD RELEASE WAX, DING ALL Q-Cell Filler and Bondo Body Filler. These are all the products that i used
Wow this is so amazing I got so many great ideas from this. I've been trying to fabricate custom parts but using that mold release agent and gel to make your own is such a better idea. I just need to look more closely at what all materials you used and where do you get them?
The fiberglass, PVA release agent, mold release, and the Q-cell filler, i bought all this at Amazon and ebay and the rest of the stuff i bought them at the local store
Styrofoam, fiberglass, fiberglass resin, bondo body filler, paint brush, masking tape and hot glue gun, only use this materials if you wanna make a mold, ( white gelcoat no wax, pva mold release agent and mold release paste wax )
Waw all you need to know about how not to make a front lip, perhaps some of the money wasted could have been used to replace the bald tyres on the car.
Nice work brother. I just made a GT2rs style splitter for my beetle using similar technique. I was a it messier with the glue gun!

Thank you and i wish you success with your project
Outstanding work and craftsmanship. Patience and attention to detail. Truly. When is the painted and completion video coming??
I don't know yet, i'm gonna start working on the side skirts now and after that i'm thinking about wrapping the car
Nice! Can't wait bro. Truly amazing work again. 👌 Looking forward to the next video.

7:30 what is present in that metal container you poured in that plastic bowl ??
7:41 what is present in those tubes
7:30 is fiberglass resin
7:41is a hardener for fiberglass resin, when you buy the fiberglass resin is already comes with the hardener
nice dude, alot to be learnt from here thanks.
You're welcome 👍
I was wandering where you were going with this when you started, but bro that is an outstanding job! A lot of work and attention to detail!! Awesome!!
Thank you

Now this is the video I've been searching for. You saved my lip project!
I'm glad, i wish you the best in your project 👍
Hermoso trabajo tienes mucha paciencia
Muchas gracias mi amigo y pues no nos queda de otra 😂
It is necessary to mask the foam in order to apply the resin and the fiber to get a proper adhesion between those materials?
Yes, you have to put some kind of tape, otherwise the resin is gonna eat the foam, i recommend to use foil tape

I did it like that because my goal is to make a wide body kit, but that's a good point thank you

@@Eclipse_XVX 👍
i thought polyester resin melted the xps? are you laying masking tape over the xps to prevent the chemical reaction? well done nicely made
Yeah use masking tape but aluminum foil tape works better so that the foam doesn't melt
how long did it take you to complete the project
Like 8 months because i only worked on this project in my free time
Could you put the products to see the names
Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat Cloth, Fiberglass Resin and Hardener, WHITE GELCOAT NO WAX with Hardener, PARTALL FILM #10 (PVA) Mold Release Agent, MOLD RELEASE WAX, DING ALL Q-Cell Filler and Bondo Body Filler. These are all the products that i used

Hello men, what was the white thing that you spread on the bottom of the bumper?
It's called gelcoat, use gelcoat only when you make a fiberglass mold of something, like car parts or anything
Hard work huh? Looks good. It's my next project for my Cadillac ATS.
Yeah and you just have to have patience because it takes time, i hope everything goes well in your project and don't give up
What's the white material?
It's called " Gelcoat " that's the name of the white stuff that i spread on the bottom of the bumper, i don't know if that's what you're talking about
