This was very helpful. New to ranching and fence repair. Good to see a comprehensive explanation. Most tutorials cut corners in explaining details. Most men often don’t want to address difficulties. Make things look easier than they are. Good job
What a find! I have the same old stretchers and fence pliers and I hadn't used them in forever and was forgetting some things about how to use them! Thanks so much for showing me how to correctly and confidently use it again! Now for a nice long stretch! Thank God for RUclips! 😀
I watched your video before trying my hand at repairing some barb wire fencing. It went smoothly🙂 Thank you greatly for your video, it was a HUGE help. Have a good day.
I like using a Come Along for stretching an entire strand of wire. Also, when you’re wrapping the wire around the post, you can use a small crowbar to really get the wire tight around it. If you’re worried about it slipping loose while you’re wrapping it around again, you can use a staple to hold it in place.
Great work, great instructional, educational, very helpful real deal videography illustrated fencing repair helps. Mucho Gracias. Got our fences easily repaired because you generously shared your knowledge and expertise. Mucho Gracias. Keep up the great inspirational work. Nicely done.
Run a 2ft tag off the post with med tensile plain wire, strain up the main wire and make a small loop and terminate loop, pull the plain wire through the loop and terminate that, if you ever need to re-tension the small length of plain wire is easily replaced and main line pulled tought again.
Great to see a tutorial from a woman - almost all the others I found were by men who were using their upper body strength in a way that I’m not able to.
We operate a 200 head ranch, but we rotation graze so we have quite a few cross fences to maintain. Unfortunately it's quite the challenge to keep nice fence lines due to the trees and rocks. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!!
Thank you! We were just laughing about this video this morning because I could have very easily picked a better fence to showcase. Nope 🙄 I choose to put the fence on RUclips that is perpetually loose. 😆 oh well. Thank you for watching and for commenting!!
Very very useful tool for binding & tighten the barbed wire fencing. Please do import me one set of this tool and tell me the cost price of tool and your payment address.
"These are my husbands fence pliers because I recently lost mine"...... Wanna bet that she can't find her purse, her cell phone or her keys either?....
This is hilarious 🤣 because I just found my pliers out in the calving shoot yesterday!!! Quite rusty but still usable 😉 i was so thrilled, as many miles as I make in a day I figured they were Long gone!

I gave up the crow bar method years ago for the Goldenrod, it's like having another pair of hands!

For these tie off posts, having diagonal braces keeps the tension on trhe fence from pulling the post too much sideways, and helps keep a tight fence.
THANK YOU! This was exactly what I needed. Great instructions!
So glad it helped someone! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂
