Never had the honor of meeting you. Just through your videos. Long time follower. Doesn't take much to see you are good people. The kind of people we need more of in this world. Jim I just prayed for you and your family. I hope to live up to everything you said about myself, thank you for your prayers. May the Lord guide and keep you Luke
A new subscriber and city kid who now has a farm house on 10acres. Thanks for the great video and sharing the knowledge, I now can fix my fence the correct way. Prayers to you and the family.
I didn't know didly about running fence till I watched your videos. Ran about two mile of wire last summer and learned much. Thank you for the tips and tricks. May God bless you abundantly in everything.
Amen, Jesus Christ is Lord! Blessings to you brother, James chapter 1. Consider it joy when you fall into various trials. May our Lord bless you and your family in Spirit and Truth
As Jim Emerson wrote, long time viewer. I believe I come upon your channel a couple years back when I was getting into fencing my self. After watching one or two videos I ended up watching them all. I've probably watched them all a couple more times since. But you were the first to openly speak about God on your channel and that struck my. I was like hey this guy is good salt of the earth. He's the kind of guy we use to have. He's got good family morals, good business morals, he's a godly man, etc. You can count on me for some prayers that what ever evil force is upon you goes away
I was lookin for a good fencin video and found several on your channel. I'm new to your channel but have enjoyed all that I've seen so far. Keep up the good work. God bless yall
Spent many years building and patching fence for a living I've always used the loop to patch fence used a stretcher like that for patching and a 1 1/2 ton chain puller for building new since it will easily stretch a quarter or more easily at one pull
Audi, I’m honored that you’re watching. I have a handyman Jack like that as well with a wood handle on it and has a fencing option on it as well, pretty unique.
Thanks for the video. I found it really helpful. I've been spending some time at my friend's farm (by Drayton Valley, AB, Canada) learning about farming, and we've done some fence repair. I'll be trying to show him up next time we head out on the John Deere Gator to do a repair. lol
A helpful tip: pre stretch your splice wire and it helps it stay tight. I take about 50 ft and tie it to two machines and pull until it breaks then I roll it up for repairs. Keeps the wire from being springy and hazardous as well 👍
Very true, I usually use used Barbwire for all my repairs because it’s already stretched. I go over this in one of my earlier videos but I should mention it every time I’m making repair. Thank you very much and good point
Another great teaching video!!! Yours was one of the first channels that I subscribed to, and it was because of your fence repair videos. 🙏🙏Praying for your family.
The fence stretcher also doubles as a "temporary splice"! I've seen them on broken wires for years waiting to be relieved of duty. I think some ranchers buy them at auctions just for that purpose! I remember the last 4 words of the pledge of allegiance,"And Justice For ALL!" You sir were not allowed to have your justice!
Note that this kind of strainer does not work well for wire that doesn't have knots or barbs. The grips aren't strong enough to hold a straight high tensile wire.
Great video for teaching me on my novice farm experience. My wife is asking about the corgis. We have a Cowboy Corgi now. Does your wife have a Facebook page?
I’ve had one of those fence stretchers for many years. I use it all the time. Check out our channel. RC is a cow , and it’s about what I get into day to day on the farm. Praying for you and your family here in Southern Middle Tennessee.
The hand is fin stretcher is just for stretching, this is more so for mending and stretching. I really couldn’t compare the two. They both really shine for different reasons.

That stretcher is made by the Dutton-Lainson Company in Hastings, Nebraska USA. Lived there 20-some years ago.
I didn't know didly about running fence till I watched your videos. Ran about two mile of wire last summer and learned much. Thank you for the tips and tricks. May God bless you abundantly in everything.

Great video
Nicely done. I have an old Hi-Lift Jack/handyman jack with fence stretcher clamps built in. Never used the feature but it's there.
never heard of that built in feature but it must be heavy to hold horizontal.
Audi, I’m honored that you’re watching. I have a handyman Jack like that as well with a wood handle on it and has a fencing option on it as well, pretty unique.

great video i got to try your method for just twisting the ends of the wires i have always used loops at both ends. It works but is slow.
Thank you, God bless .
That fence stretcher is a slick piece of gear!
A helpful tip: pre stretch your splice wire and it helps it stay tight. I take about 50 ft and tie it to two machines and pull until it breaks then I roll it up for repairs. Keeps the wire from being springy and hazardous as well 👍

Thank you Craig for your last comment. That means a lot to me.

Great video for teaching me on my novice farm experience. My wife is asking about the corgis. We have a Cowboy Corgi now. Does your wife have a Facebook page?

Hi Luke, would be interested in connecting regarding the Corgi cattle dogs. 😊
How are Corgis around cats, chickens and horses?
Usually pretty docile.
I’ve had one of those fence stretchers for many years. I use it all the time. Check out our channel. RC is a cow , and it’s about what I get into day to day on the farm. Praying for you and your family here in Southern Middle Tennessee.
Thank you for your prayers. I will check out your channel.
How does this compare with the handiest fence stretcher?
The hand is fin stretcher is just for stretching, this is more so for mending and stretching. I really couldn’t compare the two. They both really shine for different reasons.
🙏🙏
Why do I call that tool a “yellow jacket”?
Im in need of a corgi
Prayers sent up brother…
