    Thanks brother. New to the life but trying to learn. This will surely help me tighten up the fence in the pasture. Needs to be done and no one's done it, so ima do it.

    Tractor Supply should put you on payroll. I bought the wire after watching your video and have used this technique a few dozen times. It has saved me hours of time and my neighbor is now using this technique. Great video!

    I watched a few videos for some fresh ideas. Yours is by far the best no splicing etc. Why make it any harder than it is. My personal philosophy is to not make work for myself. And it needs to look like it never happened. Smooth and clean repairs for looks. You practice the "KISS" method. Just like I do. I have done it by pinching wire with the tip of fencing pliers and twiisting it to tighten wire.

    I had 2 dead trees fall on my fence& 1 tree that fence was mounted on was cut by some vandal. I spent nearly 3 hours today trying to tighten the wires. I started by trying to use twisting tool. At 70, I don't have strength I used to, so I went & got come a long. Fence been there too long! I am going out to try your tip. Got too much to fix & dark coming on. Thank you!

    Hey everyone! I put links in the video description for the tools I used in this video. I would highly recommend having a set in every vehicle and 4wheeler that you use on the farm. Make sure you go check those out.

  • @ghostriderwashere

    The reason most wire gets loose is how it’s wrapped around the corners. Most folks wrap twice around corner post with no tension on that part of the wire. When you take the stretcher off all the tension goes to the corner wrap and loosens over time. Best way is when you build new fence pull the wire from the back of a tractor or truck and staple wire to post as you tightly wrap it around corner post. All wire will loosen over time but not as bad if you get those corners really well stretched and stapled.

    I have used claw hammers before to tighten the fence. Hook the claw on the fence and twist. It is not pretty and it probably weakens the fence. Your way looks better.

      Angela Janson it is called a DARE wire twisting tool I believe. I got mine at tractor supply for about $3 I think but you can get them anywhere pretty cheap. They are pretty nice.

    • @johnscarboroughregenerativ7240
      @johnscarboroughregenerativ7240  2 года назад

      The principle is the same but whether or not it would work I don’t know for sure I know that some wires are more brittle than others and will break easier. Sorry I wasn’t much help
