Cattle Decapitation is a band that is technical, innovative, and extremely heavy. Not everyone who listens to something like this which is one of the extremes of extreme metal is able to handle it.
Travis Ryan is the most innovative and dynamic vocalist in existence. He is a true artist. Every musician in this band are upper crust.
I see that the boy really likes Thrash oriented metal and greasy kids stuff like the Black Veiled Brides and Bullet for My Valentine. He will likely get bored of this stuff and evolve to heavier music in time.

Cattle Decapitation is one of the bands that got me into Metal, but they're definitely not for everyone. I can understand why he wouldn't like them, especially since he developed an immense taste for more Melodic bands. Most Extreme Metal (Black Metal, Death Metal, Deathgrind, Brutal Death Metal, Technical Death Metal, etc) bands are bands that take time to get into, and that's mainly if someone develops an interest in the aforementioned subgenres. All in all, music is subjective. What works for one person, might not work for someone else and that's perfectly fine!

A&P-REACTS Definitely! That's how we can learn to develop our musical tastes. I've discovered a plethora of amazing bands because of my bandmates and my friends showing me music that falls outside of my usual preferences. Maybe one day he'll find an Extreme Metal band that's to his liking.

Your Disposal or Kingdom of Tyrants would probably be more approachable from Cattle Decap. They're definitely one of the most tasteful Death metal/Grincore bands out there.

I was so shocked to discover this band exists. I've had actual nightmares about how our meat consumption will lead to an apocalypse and then I find these guys dedicated to being doomsayers of this terrifying fate. Music is appropriately brutal AF. Love your channel lol, sorry to soapbox.

Never have I thought that I would change to a vegan diet with the help of Cattle Decap. Their music is so brutal and meaningful.
Kingdom Of Tyrants would be my bet for first timers to get into CD
It's funny that I'd always heard good things about Cattle Decapitation, but was never really interested.
But then I saw you guys and a bunch of the other Metal React channels react to this so I finally gave it a shot.
"The Harvest Floor" and "Monolith of Inhumanity" are solid fucking albums.

Cattle Decapitation is amazing live. If you went to that show, it would change your mind. I didn't like them when I first heard them, but man, they do grow on you. One of the most intense bands on the planet. I enjoy your reactions guys! \,,/
#HEYGUYS!!! You should react to The Leper Affinity by Opeth. If you loved Ne Obliviscaris, you will definitively love Opeth, they are in my humble opinion the best modern metal band.

Haha, I'm totally with little one, I've started listening to Metal waywayway back with bands like BLIND GUARDIAN, HAMMERFALL, EDGUY/AVANTASIA, FREEDOM CALL, Power Metal as it's best, can't stand bands like this at all. Now, years later, I can enjoy both equaly, depands on my mood and stuff, but CATTLE DECAPITATION is clearly nothing to start with. Try it in a couple of years, read the lyrics, maybe one day you will enjoy it, and if not, that's totally fine, there's enough good music in all genres for everyone. :D Greetings from Germany!

I'm quiet the same, someday I discover a new Death-Black-Whatever-Metal Band and I'm totally flashed, and the next day I just wanna listen to some easylistening-goodmood-stuff, you'll never know. :D
Have a little suggestion here, a not so well known band, check out ELVENKING - THE LOSER, it's quiet refreshing and fun to listen to, I think. :)

Cattle would be the best band you would see live
Revocation played about an hour for me Oct. 29. They were on right before Cattle. They are my favorite band. You should look into the lyrics, beautiful. Travis's vocals are the best in the metal scene

I actually kinda dig this song. So damn heavy and fast and just brutal. Kind of a unique sound for the vocals in those somewhat clean vocals near the end. I thought it sounded good. I'm gradually getting into this kind of heavy stuff and enjoying it, and like less than a year ago I hated songs bands that were this crazy

You should check Mors Principium Est - We Are the Sleep or Leader of the Titans... Both can be found from Dawn of the 5th Era album. Also give another try for Kalmah. Sacramentum would be a good start!

Cattle Decapitation's last few albums have been monolithic and thoughtful. Travis Ryan's vocals are insane, including live, and the instrumentation is extremely technical. Probably not something that I'd try to get someone to listen to until they've been listening to extreme metal for a good nber of years though!
Have you checked out the Tasmanian band Psychroptic before? They've toured with Cattle Decapitation previously. \\m//

Cattle is definitely not for everyone. As appreciators of metal though, you should give them another chance or two. Mammals in Babylon is a really good one that has some nice melodic sections and a little bit better vocals (less shrill-y). It took me a little while to warm up to them but now theyre my favorite band so at least give them another shot!

I used to think Cattle Decapitation was a joke band. But the first time I heard "Monolith Of Inhumanity" I went "uhhh this is fucking intense." And hearing "The Anthropocene Extinction" I was fuckin HOOKED! Cattle Decap takes time to sink in, and realize how fuckin brilliant and important they are.
I think the reaction from the youngling is about the most honest reaction someone this young could have with listening to this style of Metal. I would be in disbelief were he to be like "FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!"

Cattle decap is one of the most intense bands out there, try it out again in a couple years, or listen to "lifestalker" that one has a much more melodic quality.

Travis Ryan has the most intense and aggressive vocals and his lyricism is beyond intelligent. CD are 100 times more insane live than the album as well. Travis Ryan is a gem and nobody will ever be able to touch him when it comes to talent and pure aggression

eh, it's all subjective. I've seen both live multiple times, I prefer Cattle Decap by a lot. Though Dying Fetus is definitely awesome, they've never put out anything even close to Monolith of Inhumanity, that album just destroys. But you know, different strokes and all that
