Travis has become one of the most versatile vocalist in the recent years. Love his "goblin cleans"
Travis' vocals can be so fucking violent, but man those goblin cleans put you in a trance, they're so nice to listen to
I call it Jar Jar Binks cleans lolz
Funny how they didn’t understand it was Travis lol that female backing vocal is WAY behind near the end. I honestly didn’t notice it first time
The chorus is not sung by the girl, she only sings a the end of the song, Travis Ryan sings the chorus
This album is an absolute masterpiece, my favourite of all time. Such beautiful sorrow, death atlas ending with "the cry of the earth". Listen to "Time's cruel curtain" if you get the chance, this album is just outstanding.
My favorite song on this masterpiece
Yeah. I've seen them live in Toronto 2019 DEC. I was like 1 meter from Travis and when he bent forward he heard me screaming lyrics to Time's Cruel Curtain along with him and gave me 🤘
It was my first time seeing them and felt amazing. People and moshpit was awesome on the whole floor from wall to wall 🤘
One of my favorite bands, Travis Ryan nailed the vocals on this one. And as usual David McGraw did amazing with the drums.
Hey as a cryptopsy fan I'm happy oliver got the bass part. He's a great bassist and gets overlooked.
From never listening to this band again to possible song of the year lol
"Yeah, but you can tell when it's a girl or a guy singing."
I mean... *some* of us can lmao
As someone who actually listens to Cattle Decap, I can confirm Travis Ryan did the raspy, high singing because he does that in quite a few songs of theirs & has for at least a decade.
He also did the "Peter Steele" vocals, of course, which are new actually. These songs & the bonus cover track that comes afterwards are the only music he's ever done that style of singing on.
The girl, Laura, did the ambient, lyricless singing at the very end.
And the guy doing the talking in the beginning is Jon Fishman from Phish!!
I love this band. Goblin vocals for life
Fo' sure, they're awesome!
Absolutely!!
I don't care for their early stuff, but they are becoming one of my favorite bands. And in my opinion,Death Atlas is in the top five best Albums of all time, any genre.
agreed
Yeah, I didn’t become a fan until right as Monolith was coming out. Kingdom Of Tyrants was the one that made me a fan and it’s still my favorite song of theirs. From The Harvest Floor and on, their albums are incredible. I’d rank them:
1. The Anthropocene Extinction
2. Monolith Of Inhumanity
3. Death Atlas
4. The Harvest Floor
You guys finally reacted to this!!
This album is one of my all time fave, and this song is amazing! Cattle talked about Covid before Covid.
HAHAHAHA the one you thought was a woman is Travis Ryan, who invented this vocal technique. This is not clean vocals, it's a death metal technique
the pinnacle of technical death metal !!!
Bring back the plauge for a laugh and a half! The music video is hilarious and not gross
Yep... And The heavy breakdown towards the end is pretty badass.
This song is absolutely fucking heartbreaking...
Thank you patreon
I don't know what vocals Laure did, but the "goblin" voice is Travis.
Also, Laure is in my beloved band Igorrr, that unfortunately didn't win the poll in our alliance :P
Damn, I just found out that the leader of Igorrr, Gautier Serre, did some engineering in the album.
Laure did the outro
@@Brombit igorr is like top tier for travis so this was a big fanboy moment lol
Cattle Decap is the one band that literally gets better with every album, and I really mean that.
But first I need to say that you are absolutely wrong about the "goblin" vocals. That is absolutely, positively, Travis Ryan; it's become his calling card, and anyone who does those vocals is imitating him. I'm sorry to say, but you really ended up calling yourself out when you said "you can tell male from female vocals," because apparently you can't :)
I discovered Cattle Decap in 2015 with Anthropocene Extinction, and then went back to the beginning and listened through their discography. Each successive album was better than the last, also coinciding with the increased prevalence of Travis's signature "goblin" vocals, culminating at the time, with Anthropocene. When Death Atlas came out, it carried on the pattern of improvement, now being their best album, and I would even say by a decent margin. I think the best way to describe the atmosphere it creates is "majestic," and I this is their first album I would describe that way.
I hope that you enjoyed Terrasite as much as I did! They truly are the best. Everything from Monolith to Terrasite is absolute perfection in their own way.
You guys did it 🖤 one of my favorite songs of all time
This is a very important album and a great track. Laure Le Prunenecs vocals at the end always get me.
There’s no ever after. Debts have to be paid.
The certainty and finality to that is scornfully chilling
8:01 when Travis clean vocal hits and they're expression changed...it was beautiful...alot of people are very intrigued by Travis Ryans vocals because of the way it sounds, very pleasant to the ear
The girl from Igorr (Laurel Prunenec) sung the last “ambient” line... The chorus is Travis
Morning yall beautiful people
A Masterpiece!!! Hail Travis and Cattle D. \m/
FOUR types of vocals:
1. Growls
2. Pig squeals
3. "Goblin" vocals
4. Clean vocals
ONE guy
Cattle Decap are more than just "deathgrind" imo, they are just too special for such a simple genre label
And you two are some of the most openminded people out there, the world would be a better place if we had more of those. Cheers
Can you react to Benediction - Violation Domain ? It's a great old school death metal song !
Great band, great songs, great reaction!
I don't usually listen to Cattle. Not usually my thing. But I fucking love the title track for Death Atlas. It hits hard, and has ALOT of atmosphere, and I have mixed feelings about the Vegan argument but man it's very well represented here. Great track!
It's "The Unerasable Past"!!!!!
But finally you guys got around to it, One of their best songs and also important video.
React to Diamonds to dust corpus Christi, they are Christian metal band, quite impressive as well
This band! This album! Perfection. Their newest album, Terrasite, picks up right where Death Atlas left off, where humanity hatches out from what you see in this video. Where they become Earth Eater creatures. Highly highly highly recommend checking out a song or two from that masterpiece. 🤘🏻
Time for Watain!
I've fucking loved this song by the cattle decapitation... Horns Up.!!
Cattle decap are in a whoooole other level, guys.
Bring back the plague by this band.
Great band, great song, _the only_ possible Scores (Vin at 43:13 and Sori at 45:14 after some thinking)... *BUT!* What the frak happens to the _voice_ audio at 1:50 while the music remains more or less at normal level? I had to slide RUclips's volume control 🔉 to 100% and the PC's speaker output 🔉 to 100% in order _not to_ need to move the volume dial of the speakers themselves anywhere from its normal halfway point...
I continue to be in awe of the sorrowful beauty that this album is. The music is some of the best the genre has ever produced, both in quality as well as delivering the insanity Cattle is known for, but it always serves as a grim reminder for the fact that we all will suffer dearly for what we've done to this world.
If I remember correctly, mike gordon of phish is a huge fan of this band and played in the record
FINALLY
The whole album is a fucking masterpiece
Personally I think Death Atlas is among the top 50 albums of all time.
Dude it’s TRAVIS good lord
Do kingdom of tyrants next
If you like this you need to listen to “Fit for Autopsy”
I just wanna see Vin admit he was wrong about the vocals actually being Travis hahaha
Alas, the deed is done
Mankind has come and gone
Carbon-based life forms reset to day one
Fire now rages on
We thought we had enough time to redesign through human minds
To do our time for this life of crime, seems this is the end of the line
We casketed hope in bureaucracy, sunk to the bottom of the sea
Out of sight, out of mind, out of love for money
We deserve everything that's coming
We'll take this world to our graves
There's no fear for tomorrow when there's no trust for today
There's no ever after, debts have to be paid
We deserve everything that's coming
We took this world to our graves,
We made its creatures our slaves
Shattered the hourglass, an un-erasable past
Humans, Demons, deranged and depraved
We deserve everything that's coming!
We deserve everything that's coming!
We deserve everything that's coming!
We took this world to our graves!
We deserve everything that's coming!
We deserve everything that's coming!
We deserve everything that's coming!
We took this world to our graves!
Alas, the deed is done
Mankind now dead and gone
Post-Anthropocen, earth reset to day one
Fire now rages on
There's no fear for tomorrow when there's no trust for today
There's no ever after, debts have to be paid
We deserve everything that's coming
We took this world to our graves,
We made its creatures our slaves
Shattered the hourglass, an un-erasable past
Humans, Demons, deranged and depraved
And I count the days till we expire our ways
And I count the days tlll we expire for always
To be alive is to survive everything
To make due with anything, until we die
To be alive is to squander everything
To stumble towards anything, to feel alive
Basically suffering the weight of the world
also yall should check out Cattle Decapitation - Pacifc Grim and watch the non offical video ruclips.net/video/9ZpMKK-LpRk/видео.html
The lower vocals were not inspired by Peter Steele though…
Lmao vin thought the goblin vocals were a woman. I got a kick out of that. Travis Ryan is a cool guy. I bet he’d talk to you guys. That would be awesome. Go listen to the last 2 tracks of Monolith of inhumanity. Similar to this how the last track has an intro. It’s also an epic conclusion like this.
Do dead cross - my perfect prisoner guys
React to Crippled Black Phoenix- Lost official video
Very disturbing video and hard to watch.
Today might be the day. I've watched you guys react to a lot of this stuff, and it's cool. But today might be the day to sign up and just see if there are any people out there who know about Christian Death, or Kooler than Jesus. Are there any goths/rivetheads/shoegazers anywhere? I guess it wouldn't hurt to find out. This just sounds like Christians would imagine anti-Christian stuff to sound, is my point. Not that I don't know my Deicide or Dimmu Borgir. But, c'mon, Give a Daisy Chain to Satan.
By the way,the underground metal elitist has a new channel,it's called Music of Destruction.
GRIP INC. - Hostage To Heaven
The narration in the beginning is done by Jon Fishman from the band Phish, and I’m serious!!
I'm sorry I'm so late to this video because Vin will probably never see this comment. If it hasn't been said already, Travis Ryan does all the lyrical vocals in this track. Laure Le Prunenec is not in the band, but she used to be in a band called Igorr. She does guest vocals at the very very end of this track, but no lyrics.
Side note, it bothered me quite a lot how Vin was so confident about Laure Le Prunenec doing the "high note" lyrics. You CAN be wrong about your beliefs, and you absolutely were in this instance.
Glad you liked the song though.
You should watch the movie "First Reformed" (with Ethan Hawke), if you haven't already. That is what comes closest to the sermon you (and I) have never heard.
“Is that drummer real?”
no travis has high vocals
What does religion have to do with music? Music has no beliefs, it is universal. But it reflects the state of human souls in this world. If you really like music in the metal sphere, and if you are true Christians, then you can't ignore the band "Lovebites", an all-female band from the Japanese scene. Finally a band that reflects Grace, beauty, power, talent, musical genius, whose music lifts the soul towards the wonderful, the light, in a musical sphere mainly turned towards what is dark, and decadent. I advise you to react to the title of Lovebites, "Glory, Glory to the world" evocative title for someone who claims to be Christian. It would be a mistake to miss this band that has the potential to be one of the greatest bands in metal. Musically it's top level.
This band is really extreme, and may have a lyrically obscure past but this kind of music is an adquired taste and they were pioneers in that genre, but one thing it's for sure, they are really good people!! There is no comparition between this and bands like Infant Annihilator
what do you mean by no comparison...you think CD is better than IA or?
@@2174863 There are different bands, both are great, idk what i was trying to say because i like both haha
@@PZMaTTy oh aright lol yeah I like them both as well I think I might like the extremity of IA a bit more though in my opinion
I have a masters in human anatomy working on my PhD and other colleagues are telling me the world is sick and the human condition is the result, I am going to listen because I know what they went through to get their degree. I know you all have faith in God but that only goes so far. You can pray for us all but if humanity doesn't do something soon, our future generations will deal with the consequences of our actions. I do admire you all for seeing others point of view but it is sad to see the christian faith not understand the dire nature we are in.
The only way to bring a halt to the situation we're in is by drastically reducing the population, a mass culling, if you believe the population will never reach a peak and will continuously multiply forever like hollywood has told us all for decades, which I promise is total bs. I ask you: who gets to decide who lives and who dies? Who gets to decide how many are left standing in the end? Totalitarian population control and one child policies? Which future is worse? The one where we devour the entire planet or exterminate billions of people and let elites control the survivors? Also the climate change/ global warming/ global cooling narrative has been changing and moving goal posts since the late 50s. First they claimed it was a new ice age, then when that didn't happen by the late 70s it became global warming, then when the ice caps didn't melt (like Al Gore and his disciples said it would) they just switched it to the ambiguous "climate change" term, a nice orwellian twist of words there, or even moreso something like Joseph Smith making crazy excuses to rationalize a wacky cult. On that note I don't deny there are too many people and pollution is a problem, but the "final solution" to climate change and overpopulation is something I ethically stand against.
Edit: And yes I do believe the climate change activists, at their core, when you dig deep beneath the surface, under the guise of saving the planet, have a seething genocidal hatred for the human race, seeing our entire species as swarming insects that need to be exterminated for the "greater good" regardless of how much suffering for the sake of their "righteous cause" induces.
Also. Wtf does Anatomy have to do with Geography and Ecology?

The evil methane producing cattle
Once again christians sold their soul for some death metal :D
Totally agree with you Vin.....It's super hard for me to take the majority of evangelicals seriously on abortion when they seem to care less about being a good steward of the planet.
You watching the video on a smart phone? That plastic case was made from petroleum, Yo. Unless everyone is lighting their home with candles and riding a horse and buggy to work, and wearing a potatoes sack for clothes, we ALL bad stewards of the planet, just some like to virus signal more than others. But alas, nowhere in scripture old or new testament does God or Jesus command us to be good stewards of the earth.
@@homevalueglass3809 Cool....awesome.
@@homevalueglass3809 you are very much missing the point
@@brendangibson8200 Nah, my point is that everyone's a hypocrite, especially those who point fingers
@@homevalueglass3809 no, you just missed the point entirely. Even in today's society, it's still very possible to reduce your personal footprint. The problem is that most people don't care enough to do even that. Sounds like you're just salty you got called out

This channel doesnt understand deathcore highs or lows vocals
Deathcore sucks anyways so
@@aamermahmoud5666 Except it doesn't. Listen to Lorna Shore or Slaughter to Prevail and tell me they suck.
@@BeardsAndScience they do I used to listen to deathcore back then and when I got out of it I realised how much deathcore is generic and trash, it's basically the pop of metals they focus on vocals and chuggy chug, I'd say the only good band in deathcore is shadow of intent and yes deathcore is fun in the gym and when ur hyped asf but overall its such a weak genre in terms of creativity.
@@BeardsAndScienceI love deathcore but Lorna shore is way to plain now and slaughter to prevail has dulled down
