    Cool video. You need to get you some Hot Hands hand warmers. You can put them in your gloves, shoes, jacket sleeves, etc. They'll really help keep you warm. Be safe and happy camping. 👍😊

    This takes back many many years ago (about 40 plus years) I grew up about a 1/2 mile from the Niagara River about 7 miles from Niagara Falls and one winter a buddy of mine (we were about 17 or so) had quite a few adult beverages (drinking age was 18 back then) decided at about 2 or 3 am to walk to the river in a very nasty snowstorm and in a large duffle bag loaded it up with all that was necessary to make a ham & cheese and veggie omelette frying pans included and made a crazy warm fire right on the large rocks a couple feet from the Niagara...(driftwood was everywhere)it was hard to see the hand in front of your face because the snow was coming down at a couple inches per hour...we let the large bonfire burn down to crazy hot perfect coals and proceeded to build the perfect omelettes we used a dozen eggs about a half pound of ham and lots of cheese and mixed veggies and ate the most perfect omelette ever in a blinding snow followed with a Crown Royal after omelette chaser...it was perfect! Best omelette ever with the Niagara River as our radio... probably got home around 5 or 6 and just fell into the best sleep ever smelling like fire, snow and mixed beer and whiskey! So when I see people just getting out and surviving a bad weather night I always think back to that innocent time 😊 so you youngens possibly reading this don't waste time! Get out and live your time B4 your 60 and wondering where it went! ✌️

    Great video. If you add at least two skis, preferably 3, to your sled then you can carry even heavier loads more easily than your current load with no skis. It will make your usual trips more efficient and also provide you with extended range when packing a lot of gear.

    My heater buddy saved my life while surviving a whole winter in Oregon, but it's worthless in Colorado. I see you have a stove jack, yet no wood burning stove? I know you like to go solo but I wonder what a collab might look like... 🤔

    That wasnt an easy trip ! I like that kind of shelter but I would not use a hamok thought , I prefer to be on the ground . Do you think you would have had a nice sleep if it wasnt of the cold ? When I read hot tent in the title I was expecting a wood stove 😋 Do you plan on having one in the near future ? You went in the shelter too fast , I didnt see the snowstorm raging outside , did you have high Winds ? Thanks for the video !

    • @TheStealthyCameraman
      @TheStealthyCameraman  2 года назад +2

      Thanks Bon! I’m not a fan of the hammock lol but the that tent is intended to be used with one so I figured I’d give it a shot. I also prefer to be on the ground! I do plan on getting a wood stove in the near future, but for now I just have the propane heater. It’s my ghetto version of hot tenting haha. The winds and snow picked up just after the last clip of me sitting by the fire and I was having trouble keeping it going. Thanks for watching!

      @@TheStealthyCameraman I like the concept of the shelter because there is lots of space , you can stand up , put a chair , cook ... and bunk in if the weather gets nasty . And using a couple of candlelier made by UCO would produce a little heat to cut a little bit of humidity I guess 🤔 . That shelter is on my wish list . Did it perform well with all the snow you had ? No issues ?
      Thanks , Sylvain
