G'day Abel. I don't care if it's a super cut of an old winter camp, I loved it. You do good work at the editing and I enjoy the time lapse footage of the wood chopping. I know that it's Summer over the ditch right now, but there is not much better than watching your camps from the Winter and I find myself going back for re-runs of your previous adventures. Looking forward to joining you and Victoria on your Summer camps this year. By the way, received my V60 and filter papers today and can't wait to watch you prepare those coffees so I can learn and make my own good coffees. Have a good one mate.

That was such a great camp. You got everything set up so efficiently before the snow really started. It's amazing how you can pack everything you need in your backpack and and although it seems minimalistic, you've got all you need for a fantastic time. We'll done! 🇨🇦

It's absolutely interesting..snow always looks beautiful and freezing at the same time. I wish I can experience camping on the snow one day. I must say the wood chopping and stacking part is neat and addictive to watch and I absolutely enjoy it in every episode, must be huge effort in video cutting though, amazing job 🎉

You could make a rythem record the way you do your fire wood, it has a nice beat to it.
I know weight is an issue, but have you considered a small axe for wood? I have found a buck type saw more efficient than the folding saws. You can take them apart for transporting. Just a thought. I want to thank you for all the effort that goes into your videos. Take care.

It's in the mid 30c and humid here in Brisbane. I think Abel is sitting home in the air-conditioning editing because it's too hot to go camping. 😅🥵

That's alot of snow! Seems like a full time job keeping the snow off the tarp and tent . I enjoyed watching! Are you really ready to pack it up the next day or would you like another night? It would be hard for me to leave lol. Enjoy the winter!
Really enjoy your videos especially the heavy rain days - one question - you always seem to only half cover your tent with the tarp and whilst i understand you want plenty of room to sit up front wouldn’t you be warmer if the tarp completely covered the tent?

Your crumpets are like ours in Australia Abel but the crumpets in Canada are similar but not exactly the same either. Muffins are totally different.

All you needed was a pole/stick to put in the middle of that tarp to keep the snow from building up !!!!

Over night it would be -7c maybe. No chains and just a/t tyres
Oh wow , that’s cold for camping. What a wonderful experience. I love the cold and being able to get all warm and cosy.
As you probably already know that we never have snow in Perth, Western Australia, (unfortunately). Although we have seen it, experienced it and loved it in Tasmania, Canada and Germany a few times.
Question-what if you stacked the branches around your campsite, would it catch most the snow?
Behind tent could make a wall
Came for the camp. stayed for the food. I've done a few of these solo in Vic Alps, usually near huts and just eat home made dehydrated. But your cuisine is exceptional. Burgers need onion, egg, bacon tomato and shredded lettuce. Don't burn the meat. Keep boots in a plastic bag in tent or they take ages to warm up from your feet. Need a bacon and eggs breakfast. Let's really go overboard for the keyboard warrior campers.

i guess where you are no worries of earthquakes & volcano activity? i been watching the solar incoming just repete slams to earth🌞 {{{🌎}}}. causing quakes around hawaii & california. everyone should prep. im in florida nothing happens here & i stay always ready.

How beautiful with that snow. I don’t know how you do it, it is hard work getting the wood, making the fire, keeping snow off the tarp and tent but you make it look so easy. Those winds didn’t help either, but you had a great time regardless and that’s what it’s all about. Thanks for taking us along. It is so so beautiful out there. Stay safe

We have had a small dusting of snow in the UK but its gone now and it's raining. Temperatures got down to -8 in some places so it was quite cold. Another great video from you .🇬🇧👍🔥

Where do you get the wood or firewood?
In NZ beech forest there is ample dead timber, and much of it is dry enough to burn. You will need to work for it.

I'm First Nations ancestry. Here's a solution: pitch your tent right under a tree for more coverage and then the tarp. It helps with rain and snow! Enjoy! Stay warm!😊
