Letsss goooo!!!! Great video brother
Thanks bro I really appreciate it 😊
Thank you so much! Just what I was looking for!
You're very welcome, I'm happy I could help
Anoooother reason to get a steamdeck. Maaaaaaan like I needed another reason lol
Let's gooooo 😊 you will love it
Hi I hope you can help me with my controllers configure section (found in your video time stamp around 5:02). The wii game loads ok. Game starts ok. But the controls for UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT is jumbled up. When I press LEFT nothing happens, when I press RIGHT nothing happens. But when I press UP, the character will move LEFT, when I press DOWN, the character will move RIGHT. I didn't tinker with the default input settings of the direction buttons. Just followed everything in your guide.
It sounds like your running into the emulator defaulting your controls to a Wiimote. Check out my time stamp at 4:00 to rotate through different controllers right after launching a given Wii game. When using the hot key ,that is explained, you will see a notification in the top left of the screen stating what kind of controller is being used. I suggest using the Classic controller or GameCube controller. If your controls do not work after switching controller profiles the game you are running may not be supported by the classic controller or GameCube controller ( see description of the video for a wiki link ). At that point you will have to manually change input settings in desktop mode in the emulator. Let me know how it goes. Thanks so much for your comment
@@RetroRepairYT thank you very much for your expert advise! I did try out the hot keys you suggested to change the controller profiles but its not working. Upon checking the list, the game I'm playing is not compatible. Its playable but the controls are jumbled. Sadly, I don't how to correctly change the inputs (axis..) to make it work.
How do you configure the classic controller yourself? Hot keys not working for me. Do you have to be on the latest emudeck?
Do you mean how to defaultly have the Wii classic controller loaded for the controller settings when you run Dolphin emulator? If so skip to 4:48
Now if you mean how to configure button by button for the wii classic controller that is different.
Let me know clearly what you meant and I'll try to give you the best answer possible
@@RetroRepairYT I think in the latest emudeck, you press the Select button + L or R on the left stick and it’s supported to cycle through controller presets, of which Classic Controller is one. I am on the old emudeck so that hotkey is not working for me. I’m also trying to see if the Nunchuk has been completely emulated for all its controls on emudeck also.
@@MrsBlaileen1 I see what you mean, thanks for letting me know. From my experience game compatibility plays a big part. So if its not support with the classic controller (see description of the video for the link) you will have to manually button map the controller for per game basis. Which will be time consuming. Thanks again for your comment and I hope you find the answer you are hunting for.
:DDD
XD
My homie has had no luck using the emulator on Steam deck to play N64, Wii, Wii U and Switch games. The controls simply do not work. He's tried Nintendo controller layout, downloading community controls. He can't do a Uturn or brake in Star fox 64. Can't get Kirby to walk the direction pressed in Epic Yarn. Nothing works. Can't even get the game started on Wii U new super Mario Bros.
I see, I would do a fresh recovery. This will delete everything off the deck but it is one of the best methods to try imo. help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/1B71-EDF2-EB6D-2BB3
Heads up, I will have a Wii U emulation walkthrough out by the weekend
