Panasonic and a few other of the once highly regarded Japanese brands no longer maufacture their own TV's Vestel are reknown for making low cost mass market models and there is only one way to make them so inexpensive. Backlight failures can only be expected, at 8 years old this one is almost end of life for a budget priced TV. As a comparison, a neighbour called me round to see why his 2 week old LG C3 had a dark band down the left hand side, there was nothing i could do, so he returned it to be told that the 42 & 48 " panels are reknown for this issue and the C4 has upgraded panels, i wonder why ?
Hi Allen-I’ve enjoyed your vids after stumbling into them in RUclips. I woukd like to ask re 2 LG 55EG9600-UA & a UB. The UA HDMI’s input ARC port doesn’t work with my LG SN7R soundbar unless I use optical cable. LG told me to do factory reset but that did not correct it. Is main board replacement the only solution.? The UB unit has HDMI port 3 pushed in. Is a main board available for it in the UK? I paid $240 for it but LG wants $339 for main board if they have one. Any suggestions? Thanks.
There’s a lot of repair services for other issues with those tv’s, boards are available but seem to be near to the price you paid for them £175 - £250 plus postage I suggest just keeping them until that fail completely, you maybe able to get a shop to replace the faulty hdmi ports for you
Hello Allen watched your video I think my problem is backlights faulty from ebay can anyone tell me the value of these please 2cz20100 ywcc70 so I can see if I can get them two lots of backlights I've changed on 2 different tvs and I have board problems many thanks
