SOUND REALLY REALLY LOW..... sorry brother 👍
You got a great price on those units. $14.95 and up on Amazon here in the U.S. and close to the same on Temu
I used a 30v laptop PSU and an old school variable regulator with a pot on it. 4 component regulator, diode, resistor, pot, capacitor
I just hope you paid absolutely nothing for this TV
I would strongly suggest reducing the supplied current right down. An LED will consume any current you give it (but only the forwarding voltage), and as there's no current limit you can burn these out quite quickly doing that. Current, rather than voltage kills diodes. 30v through a single LED is fine if you limit the current down to say 10mA.
Iam so scared of electricity but i think i can replace my backlights on my Samsung tv.
Thankyou i used to do electronics for 30 years but i have been watching your channel and i finally fixed a flat screen lcd after my stroke
@@peterhancox6962 I hope you have made a full recovery. Good work on the TV repair.
Just had a look and it's now between 10 and 15 euros (didn't check shipping costs - some may be eligible for free shipping, depending on minimum order value).
Looks a nice handy bit of kit thanks Allen I’m going to get one or two, as there handy if power supplies or main boards are missing voltages 😊
😊I'm still watching my Panasonic Viera from 2009, And used 5 - 7 hours Almost EVERY DAY: I THINK It's 38 inch. And Never seen A TV Engineer . My previous TV was a 32 inch Panasonic massive Gray thing with a cathoraytube after 10 years we gave it to A friend who had it for 3 / 4 years then gave up::😮😮😮🎉 🇬🇧 7:00
Not “ Relaible “ then…..
iv got 2012 0ne had one repair when lightning got it. after repair got done its got line up center of screen. never took it back tho.
Reliable isn't spelt like that 😉
Is a Sony Bravia 9 any good ?
And I love how Sony stick some kind of ceramic plate on top of the main chip, why I don't know.
Yes LG definitely did make a 55 inch version of the non smart tv where the logo on the front of the tv lit up.
Samsmug- it’s in the name!
Volume still low but at least it is audible without 50% volume.
Well, it's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it; it's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain.
Learnt loads on this video, thanks for your thought process and methodology
We all like an easy fix now and again, having spare working boards to hand makes life so much easier. Plus you have fixed your voice level, we can hear you again !
Shame you can't fix your bad spelling as well.
“Indestructible”…”Reliable”……, uploading videos twice. 🤔
Yes, Bones. Give it a shot of Triox compound!
Yes, you can buy mince pies at any time of year. Haven't had a working TV for around 20 years. We use a USB dongle instead, and watch TV directly on an iMac, where we can record radio and TV directly.
The best thing is that our 'TV' and an app can be carried in a pocket to any other venue.
Who takes a 12 year old TV in for repair? My LG Plasma only lasted 10.
Shock, utter horror, is it war, an impending extinction level event, is it financial Armageddon, no relax, he's not changing a backlight, but silly me I thought he was going to repair to component level, ah well maybe another time, or try another dimension
It's not dead, it's just resting.
Stunned.
Beautiful plumage
As a Radar Navaids Engineer, I'm interested in your ANENG AN-888S multimeter from Aliexpress. Approximately £50. Interesting design, perfect for RUclips videos.
Nice quick fix Allen, I would of said the fuse and cap as well oh well live and learn 😊
Hallelujah! ..We can hear you tonight!
Sorry brother..... Sound is really low.... Stupid RUclips ads kicked in at the mid point and nearly blew my head off 😭😭😭😭
Are those Norfolk Manor mincemeat pies? I ask because we bought some that look identical at our local "British Shoppe" in Los Angeles.
My daughter just bought a hisense tv (despite your warning) at just over £300 so if it fails it's replacable.
Cant hear volume to low 😢
Broken tv in uk, currys customer service in Africa is a fu,, joke dont buy from currys
Can you increase the Gsin on your microphone, I use Bluetooth Earphones and its far to low. With my Volume close to maximum you are just about audible. But the Advertising blows my eardrums out. It's a common problem on your Channel. I normally stop watching because is a nuisance. Bye.
I can see this from both sides Allen. The new tv he picked up would have had a security tab inside so he should have had the shop assistant escort him to the exit and clear the security. These American hypermarkets are huge and I for one would have demanded an escort just in case any confusion happened ...
I'm down your way on weekend have to get my mum from Stithians
Well done for your perseverance Allen. A fair result in the end.
2 cameras why not a good microphone ?
Nice audio mixing desk Alan ! loads of channels
love the videos but the last few vids ive had probs hearing you maybe you need a new mic as i have my volume at max
What about TCL? I see a lot of their TVs being punted online, are these any good?
I have bought three TVs in the last year here in the United States, all from Walmart. They are all ONN Roku TVs. I bought the first one to replace a broken 70" TV in my living room. I liked it so much that I replaced the TVs in my bedroom (40") and RV (40"). The 70" cost me under $500 USD, and the two 40" TVs were about $200 USD each. So far, there have been no problems. Now that I am watching your RUclips channel I am wondering how long they will last. Time will tell. I enjoy watching your videos.
Desperately hoping I don't have to buy a new TV & my Kuro keeps performing as it has done from day one 👍
Harry Callaghan would be proud.
I just bought a 50" cheapo TV from a large discount electrical store here in Sweden. They sell own branded products with 10 years guarantee. It's made in Turkey. We'll see how long it lasts and if I need to use the guarantee in the next 10 years.
Book him Danno.
