Love these sets, l called the screen clips “ battleships” because they reminded me of the playing pieces in the board game. I called these sets. My “ bread and butter sets” they made me a lot of money repairing them.
Nice to see you recovering a tv from scrap. Some guys recover and restore old cars, some trains, your the tv man... Your hardly useless, and I remember that advert too, now the wife would not have killed the spider even though the frighten her to death, did it crawl across your palm you be in the money soon. Happy New Year.
I have a 2011 Panasonic TX--L32DT30B, which has proved itself to be very reliable over the last 14 years. It's got a 400hz panel and great connectivity - 4 x HDMI, 3 x USB, SCART, Composite Video Input, Component Video Input, and Analogue Audio Output. I have a Now TV stick in one of the HDMI ports to add some smart functionality and a Panasonic digital recorder with Freeview Play in another HDMI port. I have the analogue audio output connected via a RCA phono L+R lead to one of the aux. inputs on my 31 year old quality Denon hifi system, to give an impressive sound experience.
lg c4 42inch , g4 55inch and qned90t 65inch(VA) can yuh pls list the merit and demerit of these TVs sir for long term i will b buying from these options only it will b kept in my bedroom and will b used by me only for seeing movies and series. NO cable TV

Hi Allen, another great repair. Sorry to pick your brain. I have a SONY KD-55XF8096 55" Android TV which is very slow to start up. Also it keeps boot looping, never quite getting fully started. I have checked for blown caps, but they all look OK. I have also changed the thermal paste on the heat sink on the main board. Do you have any ideas as to why it could be running so slow? Thanks Steve
Our cat jumped onto our 43" samsung au9000 aerial cable saved from falling onto the screen however aerial socked have been pulled out and now tv say no cable connected. What would be approx. cost of repair? can You solder in new socked or need board replaced? Its 3 years old and now cost £300 brand new.
This TV will still be repairable long after todays Oled and Mini Led panels have died and are not worth repairing. Anoher golden oldie saved from recycling.
Allen, have you had any experience with RCA Roku 4k TVs? I am completely regretting giving away my perfectly working LG 3D TV. The thing was built to last!
I always assumed that LG and Samsung were essentially the same with cosmetic tweaks, similar to the other Korean manufacturer Hyundai and Kia. It was your recent video covering the 5 best and 5 worst TV brands that set me straight-LG is one of the better ones while Samsung is the worst in terms of serviceability. My TV today is a Sony Bravia 40 from 2007, with CCFL I do believe. For that I paid 2000 Canuckistanian rubles, and it is still working perfectly as one would hope for that price. If the time comes to replace it I'll either look into an LG, or another Sony if the finances allow. I really _do not_ want a "smart" TV. I reckon I would never connect it to the Internet to stop it doing dodgy things like forcing adverts or selling subscription plans. Of course it might do it anyway, who knows.
My Dad was a TV repair man in the 50’s and 60’s We had a new TV nearly every week when I was a kid, very interesting to see a modern repair, thanks
👍🙂
I love these older LG cheep as chips and easy to fix, top job

Hope you double checked that the black widow hasn't ended up inside between the back light and screen.
It's not a smart TV, so there will not be web access.
👍👍
I hate back lie tissues
